Chapter 8.
Within a clandestine forest there currently lay an old man who exuded a strong aura of wisdom and power and within his arms lay a baby whose eyes shined with a bright glow of intelligence as they made eye contact as the old man had yellow eyes that seemed to dance with lightning within them and the boy had frosty pale blue eyes that seemed to add charm to his already near perfect face.
"Hm little one it seems your parents left a small note for me within your carrier basket, I must read this to get more information on the situation" The sagely man said as he stroked his gray beard.
Picking up the letter he opened it as he read the following.
{Killian my old friend if you read this letter it means I have been captured or killed by my brother.
Hence I have put my old offspring in your hands to protect him and shield him from those vultures who care about vain things such as the {Prestige Of Purity} from millenia ago. Those who even wrote the pact have been long dead eaten by the soil upon which we the people of the new ages stand upon. I do not ask that you protect my son forever just till he gains enough strength to protect himself without I doubt it will not be too soon as seeing even with his suppressed lineages he is still a top notch talent to nurture.
I have left some gifts for him which he will unlock once he becomes of age. He seemed to have inherited dual attributes from his mother and I forbid him from using his ice abilities in the open. Knowing them they have eyes everywhere as you know even within the human domain. I have no doubt in my mind that he is an intelligent child and will cause you much trouble but I beseech that you look after him even then.
The Noble Lightning Dragon
Moirdi}
Reading the letter line by line a flurry of emotions slammed into Killian as he let out a single solitary tear that rolled down the side of his face, a tear that seemed to capture the moonlight with its drop.
Anger,Rage,Malice,Sorrow,Sadness and Pity ran across his old mind as he wished he could storm into Trioblen{Land Of Gods} and slay all those beasts and barbarians that claimed to be {Gods} and drag them off their pedestal.
But he could do no such thing as he had vowed to honour his friend's request and he shall see it to the end before he gets vengeance for Moirdi and his wife. He once again looked at the basket that carried the child of two truly great beings as the sight of the child's features which were way too similar to Moirdi in his human form brought a pang of pain to his heart as he made a small wince at that.
However he steeled his resolve and grabbed the carrier basket of the child and he looked upon the night sky and prayed for the safety of his friend if he was still alive.
He gently floated up into the sky so as not to alarm the child he held within his arms a smile graced upon his face.
Within the night skies of Thistea.
