Chapter 28 New Sword

A week passed in a blink of an eye. 5 days from now, the raid in Jeju will start. Zero is bored like in this past week. He is lying on his bed thinking about what he should do. Nothing out of ordinary happens in the past week. While thinking, Zero remembered something. His sword that he asked to be made by a skillful blacksmith. He immediately got up from his bed. He asked Diablo, Reno, and Aviz if they want to come, and Diablo is the only one who wants to come with him. Reno said that she needs to buy groceries because they are now out of stock while Aviz is just a lazy oversized lizard who's addicted to K-Drama. Zero then created a portal and they entered.

After 10 minutes, they are now in front of an old shop. They entered and the room is dark. Zero called "little dwarf we're here."

Zero muttered 'why did I not ask his name?'

Zero used [Light Magic] to see his surroundings. The surroundings are still the same as the last time he visited. Then someone's voice echoed in the room

"Wait I will just bring the sword"

After a few minutes, the dwarf entered the room carefully holding a sword covered by a cloth. The dwarf carefully removes the cloth and presents it to Zero. The sword is slightly taller than the dwarf. The blade width is about 2.5 inches and the grip is about 1 inch. The blade color is dark red and the hilt is color is gray. Zero is impressed by the appearance of the sword. He imbued his mana on the sword and his surging mana flow in the sword.

The dwarf proudly asked, "So, are you satisfied with my work?"

"Not bad," Zero spoke.

"What not bad? I dedicated my heart to make that sword and your reaction is only not bad?" The dwarf angrily said.

"What do you want me to say, this sword is bad?" Zero said.

"Damn it. Just take that sword and leave this shop I want to sleep." The dwarf said.

"There should be some sort of payment right?" Zero asked.

"As I've already told you, it's an honor for me as a blacksmith to create a sword from a legendary metal so leave right now shoo!" The dwarf said. Zero put the sword in his [Dimensional Pocket].

Then Zero and Diablo left the shop. Zero immediately exits the city and finds an open area with no people to test his new sword. While they are on their way, Zero saw Silica approaching him. Silica knelt and speak

"Master, the information you asked, I already collected them. Pardon me for taking too much time."

"Let's talk about that later. I will just try something new. You can come with us if you want." Zero said.

Silica immediately agreed to Zero's offer.

After 10 minutes, they arrived in a desert. They can't find a single person in the desert but there are monsters underneath. Zero then gets the sword that the dwarf made from his [Dimensional Pocket].

He slightly swings the sword and the desert was cut in half. Even the monsters under the desert which are desert-scorpions are cut in halves. Diablo and Silica are in a state of shock. Diablo is shocked because this is his first time seeing Zero using a sword. Silica spoke while in a state of shock

"M-master what happened?"

"I slightly swung my sword? Didn't you see it?"

Zero spoke.

"Y-yes I saw it, Master." Silica awkwardly answered.

Diablo spoke "As expected of Master. There is nothing he can't do."

Zero just nodded to Diablo's words.

Zero spoke to Silica "Where shall we talk, Silica?"

Silica said "I will bring you into my place, Master. Is it alright?"

Zero nodded.

Then they left the desert.

They flew for twenty minutes. Zero adjusted his speed so they can keep up with him. Then they arrived at a big castle. The castle is surrounded by big trees but it still can easily be spotted on the outside because of its large size. The castle is very far away from human cities so there are no other people around. Silica opened the door and someone greeted them

"Welcome back, Master." A man in his 30s spoke while kneeling. The man has red hair, a good body build, and an average face. When he saw Zero and Diablo, his eyes grew bigger. The man is the Elder Dragon that Zero saw when Silica is about to attack the Salona Kingdom. A dragon can transform into a human if it reaches an adult dragon state.

The man spoke while kowtowing

"I-i am Brent. Please forgive my recent actions the last time we met. I am the Elder Dragon that's with Master at that time."

Zero spoke "Stand up. Just don't get in my way and you can live peacefully."

Brent shivered in Zero's words. Just before he can speak, Silica spoke

"Remember what Master said. If you get in his way, even the whole world can't help you. Continue your work."

Brent nodded and he go back guarding the castle.

Zero, Silica, and Diablo walked towards the castle. The castle is huge it's about the same size where Greed stayed. The only difference is that the castle Zero's staying in right now is not covered in darkness. There are orbs everywhere that are imbued with [Light Magic] to enlighten the surroundings. Female elves are working as a maid. While Zero is sightseeing in the surroundings, they entered a fancy room and sit on a chair. Then Silica talked about the information that Zero needed about this world.

Zero learned that the king and queen of this country are Azmar Salona and Eleanor Salona.

They have two kids one boy and one girl. Their kids are the prince and the princess. The princess's name is Diana Salona. While the prince is Rafael Salona. The forces of this kingdom have a total of hundreds of thousands. The number of imperial guards is 50,000. The number of knights is 40,000. The mages are 30,000. The leader of the knights and the mages is well known in this country. The leader of the knights is Anselm. It is said that he killed a late adult dragon by himself. While the leader of the mages is Celestine. She is a 12th tier magician. Her specialty is fire magic.

Zero also learned that there are five more countries near the Salona Kingdom. It's the Cait Kingdom which is the very near country in the Salona Kingdom. Followed by Inna Kingdom, Suzdal Kingdom, Benevento Kingdom, and the Neopatras Kingdom. The Cait Kingdom is already under the Salona Kingdom. The Salona Kingdom can't conquer the Inna Kingdom because they have equal forces so they decided to have a friendly relation with them. The Suzdal Kingdom is the greatest enemy of the Salona Kingdom. The Suzdal Kingdom is slightly stronger than the Salona Kingdom because of its numbers. They have at least 150,000 forces. The Salona and Suzdal Kingdom have inner conflicts. Silica can't specify what is the conflict, because the information is very confidential that only the king of the country knows about it. The Salona Kingdom is now preparing for war with the Suzdal Kingdom. The Benevento Kingdom has friendly relations with the Suzdal Kingdom and that's the reason why the King of Salona Kingdom is preparing carefully at war. The Benevento Kingdom has a total of 60,000 forces. While the Neopatras Kingdom is a neutral kingdom. They don't have any friendly relations in the five countries. And their firepower is unknown. Many rumors said that the Neopatras Kingdom is much stronger than the Salona Kingdom.

Zero is impressed by the information that he gained from Silica.
