"Mum, I am already at the venue of the blind date so can you disconnect the call?" Jasmine said as she walks elegantly towards the entrance of the restaurant. Even though she knew that passersby gazes were all focused on her, she pretended not to know. "If you still refuse to disconnect the call and he sees me on the phone and perhaps asks me whether it was my mum I was talking to and whether she had forced me into coming to the blind date, you know that I don't lie when it comes to matters like this right?" Jasmine asked without even taking a break.
"You...," Mrs Avans knows that her daughter's words were not mere threats. She has listened to her do this twice and she doesn't want to witness this for the third time.
"You this naughty daughter of mine, I will leave you on your date now. Don't forget to always speak and act courteously Ok?" Mrs Avans asked.
"I should talk courteously? That will depend on his character. I won't be even the least courteous if he is the slightest rude at me," Jasmine said disconnecting the call immediately for fear that her mum will continue nagging her.
Oh gosh, I can finally breathe. I wonder why mum talks a lot when it comes to matters concerning my marriage. I have told her I don't want to ever get married, I wonder why she can't accept this.
Jasmine thought as she walked into the restaurant. She did not forget to smile bewitchingly before she entered the restaurant.
The aura of a goddess that accompanies her was so overwhelming. It made everyone subconsciously turn to stare in her direction.
"Direct me to room 104," Jasmine told one of the waiters. Raising his head to stare at her face, the waiter was almost knocked down to his feet. His head instantly went blank. All he could see and think about was Jasmine's glowing face. The only person who paid no attention to the loud murmuring was Jackson. He was too preoccupied thinking about what he will do the next time he sets his eyes on her to care about the beauty who just walked into the restaurant.
"Can you snap out of it already because I am already late for my appointment?" Jasmine said snapping her fingers at the face of the guy staring at her as a fool would do.
"The....there...," The waiter managed to say this one word as he pointed at the direction the room was located. Surprisingly, for Jasmine to reach the room she needs to walk past the direction Jackson is sitting.
"He is so dumb. I wonder why they made him a waiter," the already angry Jasmine murmur as she headed straight. Just when she was two steps away from walking past where Jackson was sitting she raised her gaze and turned to look at the window.
Wow! He is here? The god of luck must be on my side.
Jasmine thought smiling devilishly the moment she got a glimpse of Jackson's face. At that moment she completely forgets everything about her blind date.
Since we had to bump into each other here, I guess the heavens really want me to get my contract from him sooner than I expected. I am sure this is gonna be fun.
Jasmine thought as she walks over to Jackson's table. She momentarily stares at the guy whose attention was focused on the food. From merely staring at the dishes on the table she could vouch that he hasn't touched any of them.
"Missing me so soon," Jasmine said as she put on her most seductive smile. Jackson was stunned when he heard her familiar voice. For a moment he was so scared to raise his gaze for fear that it was only his imaginations.
"Seeing that you are ignoring me just like that night in the bar, I guess you didn't miss me enough. Do you need me to repeat the same thing I did that day in the bar? I really don't mind repeating the same thing that made the almighty Ice Prince got seduced by my me," Jasmine said provocatively.
This can't be my imagination? Her voice sounds too real to be my fantasy.
Jackson thought as he slowly raised his gaze to stare at the lady standing in front of him.
Wow! She is the one. Never in my wildest imagination did I think that I will see her here, this is great. I finally get to see the one my heart yearns for.
Jackson thought happily. The joy he was feeling at the moment couldn't be expressed by words. No matter how happy he was to see her, he did not let it show on his expression.
"Who are you? Have we met before?" Jackson asked nonchalantly as he stares at her face. He knows that recognising her at first glance might arouse her suspicions.
