CHAPTER 2: FINAL DAYS IN THE ACADEMY

August 24 2110 one day before the graduation rite's, 5:30 AM in the morning Riley is working out in the academy gym and do some cardio exercises like push ups so that he still physically fits all the time, after working out in the gym he take a shower, then he open his wardrobe to get his academy uniform, after wearing and also the shoes, he lock the dorm to avoid theft and headed to the cafeteria.

Riley:"One medium size beef sandwich, one tea with less sugar, and one apple"

Cashier:"That would be 6 dollars"

Riley:"Ok" has he give the money to the cashier.

In the morning, cafeteria is pack with lot of students creating noise and because of this negative factors, Riley just want to eat his breakfast outside the cafeteria and find some good spot to sit.

Riley:"Well I guess this place will do just find" as he said down on the bench under the tree.

After finishing his breakfast, he don't know what do to next because they are no more classes left to attend to because today is the preparation of graduation rite's.

Riley:"Maybe going to the Combat Simulation Facility is fun" as he said while going to stand up to it's feet.

While walking towards the Combat Simulation Facility he was stop by a group of boys blocking his path.

Boy 1:"Are you Riley Wright?" he said with putting an intimidating voice

Riley:"Yes and why?" with his usual apathetic voice.

Boy 2:"Come with us right now"

Riley:"Fine"

As they reach the destination, Riley saw a lot of girls and boys surrounding the place.

Riley:"What do you want? out with it"

Boy 4:"Do you remember what happen?"

Riley:"What are you talking about?" with confused look.

Boy 3:"August 10 around 4 PM did Andrea Torres confess to you?"

Riley:"I don't know"

Boy 1:"Are you sure about that HUH!?" with an angry expression.

Riley:"Yes" he said it coldly.

Then an familiar sound echoed in the place.

Andrea:"WHAT ARE YOU GOING DOING!?" she said it with a panicking tone and she quickly rush towards Riley sides.

Girl 1:"We are just questioning him about your confession to him, I mean you talk about him a lot so we just wanted to know what kind of person he really is and beside we are doing this for you Andrea" with a smile on her face.

Apparently those guys and girls are friends of Andrea Torres, they are very close to Andrea because she is a type of person who help her friends in the times of difficulties like in academics or being depressed and that's why they are so attach to her and doing this kind of things just to protect their dearest friend.

Andrea:"I'm so sorry Riley for dragging you to this" she said it apologetic tone.

Riley:"Its fine since there are no violation of rules that happen here it's ok" he said it has he leaves the area.

Riley headed to the Combat Simulation Facility to have some combat training, after requesting for permission to the instructor he immediately wore an simulation suit gear and he pick an assault rilfe with a pistol has he's side arm, then he enter the simulation area after 5 second it immediately simulated a battlefield area, he quick move cover to cover to move to the flank sides of the enemy, then he fire his simulation assault rilfe against the target, he quick move to the next area then he noticed that 10 magicians are aiming towards him so he quickly move to the nearest cover then he fired against them, the 10 magicians quickly die because it was all a headshot.

Riley:"Come you son of the bitch"

While firing to the next wave of enemies, the ammo is empty and he notice that most of the magazine are empty was well so he get his combat knife and wait for the enemies to come closer while hiding in his position.

Riley"Come to me and meet your creator you devil's" he said it quietly while hiding in his position.

Enemies composed of 10 warrior class, 5 archer and 7 magicians, Riley quickly throw a 3 HE grenade against them and after the 3 grenade exploded he rush towards the enemies like a cheetah rushing to kill his wounded prey.

Riley:"HELLO!" he said to them with a devilish tone with a smile.

Riley first killed all the archer class because archer class are easily killed in Close Quarter Combat then he rushed to the position of the warriors class in an astonishing speed, all warriors class doesn't have a breathing time against him so Riley slash their throat one by one, one warrior class attack him but he quickly dodge it and immediately do counterattack killing him instantly, same as happen to the warriors class how swing their swords towards Riley.

Riley:"HAHAHAHAHAHA!! DIE!!" As he laughed slashing his enemies with no ounces of mercy with his combat knife.

As the magicians aiming at him, he quickly throw a flashbag grenade at them blinding them instantly, given by this huge opportunity he rushed to their position and he stab the first one in the head and the other one slashing his vital organs.

Riley:"Hah! hah! hah!" as he taking his breath.

Riley's body are covered by blood of the Imperial forces specially his face while standing on the bodies he killed, even though this is only a simulation it's still a terrifying scene to be seen, the simulation are so close to reality so that the cadets will familiarize themself in the battlefield that's why if you kill an enemy inside the simulation if feels like you just kill in a real life.

Riley:"This is Ghost, Enemies are eliminated"

Command:"This is Command, mission accomplished"

Most of the cadets after their training in the simulation are either going to vomit or being traumatized because the simulation is too real for them to handle, from the realistic detail of holographic enemies to the smell of decomposing dead bodies and more, but for Riley it doesn't really matter, what matters to him is to kill the enemies.

Instructor:"As usual very good Cadet Wright" while clapping his hand.

Riley:"Thank you sir" while saluting to the instructor.

Instructor:"At ease Cadet Wright"

Riley:"Sir I'm going to the graduation rite's practice permission to leave"

Instructor:"Granted" while smiling in his face.

Riley:"Thank you sir and good day" he salute one more time and leave the Combat Simulation Facility after changing back to it's academy uniform.

It's was 3 PM on the afternoon, it was the time for the graduation rite's practice from start to finish, to how they must properly walk towards the stage to how to act if you get your perspective degree and medals if you are an honor student, it was already 5PM in the afternoon after their graduation rite's practice everyone go to their dorm but as Riley walking he was stop by the same girl from the last time.

Andrea:"Can we talk while walking?"

Since it is their last day in the academy he agreed by simply nodding his head.

Andrea:"So Riley what would you do after graduating in this academy?"

Riley:"Join the Magical Extermination Unit you?"

Andrea:"I'm joining the Magical Extermination Research Institution because my combat abilities are not good and i don't want to fight" she said while looking to Riley.

Magic Extermination Research Institution is a branch in the Extermination Force to study and analysis different types of magic and they are also the one responsible for creating new equipment for the Force by reverse engineering of magic technology, while the Extermination Unit are the ones responsible for protecting the nation against magic threat and Special Force that are under the Extermination Unit they are responsible for assassination high ranking noble magicians, black ops operation, intelligence gathering and more.

Riley:"Ohh..I see"

Andrea:"I have a question for you please answer me since this is the last time we meet in the academy".

Riley:"Fine and what is it"? with still in his apathetic voice.

Andrea:"Don't you like interacting with people, I mean we are classmate since our first year in the academy and you haven't interacted with us in those year and until now"

Riley:"I just hate interacting with people because it's pointless,that's all to it"

Andrea:"Ohh..I see" she said to him, she doesn't want to dig deeper about what circumstance that lead him hating interacting with people.

Then Riley finally located his dorm building.

Riley:"This is my place, bye Andrea"

Andrea:"Bye Riley" waving is hand towards him.
