Chapter Nineteen

"Then, why did you stop!? If you'll do anything to have me why are you rejecting me!? Her voice quiver as she tries not to crumble in front of him.

" I'm not rejecting you, I'll never do that" Bedelia watched him step away from her, only then did she become aware that she had been leaning on him all this time. She felt weak on her knees and couldn't stand properly without trembling so much.

"You're a liar, Evan. You don't want me! She felt her voice raising and trembling at the same time. " You're rejecting me!! But he wasn't saying anything instead he could see the pain in his eyes but why? She was pushing herself to him, her body! And he was rejecting her!?

What was she even doing? What had come over her? This wasn't her, this wasn't the girl she used to be! She shivered and watched him stare painfully at her then without any word, he jog into the woods leaving her completely shattered and vulnerable.

What had gotten into her to push herself this way on him? Evan! For goodness sake she hated him, so what then!? Why did she behave this stupidly? Bedelia bent over with her both hands on her shoulder.

She needed time to catch her breath and racing heartbeat, she felt humiliated in the worst way ever. Just when it felt like she had recovered a bit, Bedelia stood and slowly slipped off her shirt which seems a little torn on the neck then her blue pants which were already crumbled.

Her skin felt bruised but she fought to ignore the pain while she dived into the lake, only then was she able to bare her emotions. She cried as she had never done before.

Bedelia made her way back to the Orphanage four hours later and was quite a relief when she didn't see any of the guardians or Getty waiting for her at the doorstep. It was certain that Jake had covered up for her, and as she sneaked her way up the old wooden stairs.

She observed the quietness and empty hallway, it was clear that dinner had been served and she had to go to bed with an empty stomach. And just when she took the route that leads to her room, she felt uncertain coldness down her spine then goosebumps.

Someone was calling out to her, and when she turned, she found an empty hallway. Nobody was there but she could hear whispers and laughter coming from the opposite rooms.

They were certainly having one of their best night.

"Bedelia! voice came again, right behind her but clearly no one was there, it was just shadows and an empty hallway but without the voice this time. She saw her body walking in an opposite direction, but she didn't mean to go!

Where was she going!? She tried to stop but the force was stronger making her do succumb to its will.

" Bedelia! She jerked as someone grabbed her shoulder. "Are you okay? She turned to see Kira watching her then Jace and Evan.

" Umm..." She mumbled and turned her back this time only to feel nothing, had she been hallucinating? She was sure, somebody had been calling out to her, and that feeling of being pulled forward!

"Bedelia! Jace called but this time he came to grab her shoulder.

" Are you okay, you look pale" Jace touched her forehead only for her to see Evan cringe from the corner of her eyes, Bedelia looked away in anger and tried not to remember what had happened at the lake.

"Why are you guys down here? She asked instead and forced herself to focus on Jace.

"Umm, there were here before I arrive...
