Mo stretched before she went on her morning jog. A run through her neighborhood was almost meditative. The sight of the familiar houses and streets was comforting. She knew all the residents and waved at a few of them she passed by.
It didn’t snow in Conthbay Valley even though it was the middle of December. The air was frigid enough that she had to wear a jacket but it would never be as frigid as New Welch.
“On your left!” a male voiced out.
She didn’t turn to look and focused on running. “Morning, Uncle Felix.”
“It’s nice to know you still run, Ney,” he said as he caught up to her. “Especially as I’m not there to be your jogging buddy.”
“I make do.”
Blaze was an early riser due to rowing and would often go on runs with her after practice. Eli would occasionally join her if Blaze wasn’t around. Tadashi had refused to wake up before breakfast was served in the dining hall. Mo rarely had to jog by herself.
