~ 152: A Way To Release - Part 1 ~

We coughed out the sawdust when we landed. My vision was blurred for a few moments as my head swirled and blinked away the dust that got caught in my eyelashes.

"Why did you do that?!" I screamed, yanking away my hand from his clasp when I got a hold of myself. "You said you would manipulate it, not bring down something upon them!"

"I swear I didn't do it!" Lucas exclaimed. "I told you I don't have any summoning power and no magical creature has it. It must have been that the crate above us that was already creaking and getting ready to fall."

"But you knew it was going to happen! Why did you let it happen then?! Or perhaps, you were the one to hit it with your sheathed sword, weren't you?"

He didn't respond. It only turned me wilder. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and threw him down. He didn't resist one bit and kept watching me quietly as I brought out my case knife.
