Five senses 2

She realized that her eyesight increased by leaps and bounds within a span of a single second.

She blinked her eyes and looked once again at another tree at a side to check if what she just experienced was true or was it just her imagination.

As she had seen earlier, once again she found that her eyes had automatically zoomed in onto the image of the tree.

Now not only does she see the ripped bark of three but her eyes could also detect the slowly crawling bug that was about to enter the inside area of the bark.

This tree was definitely a mile away from her and yet she could see a little bug that was trying to hide under the bark of it?

Tanzi still couldn't believe her eyes.

She turned her head to check this on various things to find that she was not mistaken.

As she was already confused about this newfound 'sight', a strong wind blew from her and a gush of sweet scent permeated into her nostrils.

She closed her eyes and took in the scent, "Lotus?"

She actually smelled the scent of a lotus?

Generally Lotus gives a very faint scent and it is very difficult to find its smell when it is still unplucked from its plants.

This is because the smell of the mud in the pond from which it bloomed would cover the scent of the flower thoroughly.

But how could she smell a lotus at this moment? When she looked around, she did not find any lotuses either. 'Just from where is the smell coming from?'

She opened her eyes and sniffed before taking a step in the direction from which she could smell them.

She just simply let her senses take her in the direction without thinking hard about it.

She walked for around ten minutes before she finally got to see a small pond which is covered with a whole layer of beautifully bloomed lotuses floating over it.

As soon as she reached the pond, the scent of the lotuses heightened and she was about to feel nauseated by the overly sweet smell.

She wanted to close her nose before she could really vomit with this overly nauseating sickly sweet scent.

But before she could do so, she suddenly felt that she could no longer feel the extremely heavy smell any longer.

She blinked her eyes and looked at the lotuses in front of her.

They are still there but she could no longer smell them?

Just what on earth is happening?

Before she could pull her hair out in frustration, she felt a light scent once again permeating through her nostrils.

She could smell the lotuses again. But this time, it was very bleak. This is how lotuses smell in general.

She suddenly had a thought in her mind and her eyes widened.

Earlier, her eyesight increased. Now, it was her smell.

She got an idea but she needed to confirm about it first.

To check if her idea was correct, she looked in a direction and strained her ears lightly.

"Kuk. Kuk. Kuk."

With her sharp eyes, her eyes fell on a squirrel that was hiding inside a bark of a tree a couple of miles away. That is the way she had now strained her ears too.

It was gnawing on its nuts with its sharp teeth and its chubby cheeks filled with the food.

She could hear the sound of its chewing from this far as she was looking at it.

With the way how clear the image was and how clear the sound was, it felt like the squirrel is at most a couple of steps away from instead of a couple of miles.

But with this simple experiment, she had confirmed her previous doubts.

Her senses improved.

Or she should rather say that the Elf's body had the ability to control one's senses and this is the moment she had learnt of this truth.

As she thought before, an Elf had so many powers but she couldn't figure them out. Only after experiencing them first hand would she be able to get a good knowledge of the newfound powers in her new body.

Hence she can not only control the temperature of her body but could also control her senses at her will.

She understood that she can control her eyesight, smell and hearing ability. That's three senses.

Maybe the power of controlling her body temperature could be said as her fourth sense. After all the fourth sense was touch which was related to a body's skin.

The only sense that was not yet verified among the five senses of a body was her sense of taste.

Well, she was sure that the sense of taste may also have been levelled up by a lot.

It is not so important that she had to check it immediately, right?
