A Spider!

[Health: 97%]

"That's impossible! How are you still alive?" Mylz is taken aback.

On the other hand, Vant recognized the Mecha_Boot enclosing Allyn's legs. They look very similar to that of the disguised Mage he had seen leaving the Railwall city.

"Its... it's him,"

Mylz locked on Allyn once again. He plans on digging a second hole in his chest, presumably where the heart is located. Hopefully, this would kill him.

*Bang! Bang!!*

Allyn shifted position to avoid receiving any hits, but Mylz wasn't giving up and was still bent on shooting him down.

Obliging to his dark side, Allyn goes after Mylz. He received few hits but held on until he got close enough...

"You should have quitted while you still can," said Allyn as his sword went through Mylz's lungs.

[Health - 4% CRITICAL!!]

A mouth full of blood gushes out of Mylz, and his health diminished. He might still survive, but that possibility was crushed as Allyn deepen his blade even further.

[Health: 0% - CRITICAL!!]... Mylz died.

Vant took to his hills as soon as possible since he didn't want to be the next target, and thankfully, Allyn wasn't interested in chasing after him. Mylz's weapon attracted his attention, and Allyn took it for himself, which then was kept in his in-game storage space.

GAMEPEDIA: Health Difference Between Player and NPC.

Both players and NPC shares the same health deduction process. However, some fatal damages would kill most NPCs in an instant, while players would only have their health reduced depending on the amount of damage done to them. Damages such as those inflicted on the head, heart, lungs, and many more can be fatal to NPCs, which is normal as humans or a Mage.

Damages of any kind done on players can also auto-repair itself within 30 minutes or longer hours once you are out of danger or not in any kind of battle. How long this will take depends on the dept of the damage or the level of the player itself. NPCs who also possess magical powers have these features.

NOTE: Do not let these get to your head or you will certainly end up dead. Your healing abilities as a player will not help you if a fellow player or an NPC is bent on slaying you. Even more so, if your foe is an otherworldly existence... you might as well die by drowning.

There is still a high possibility of dying in one hit if the damage's hit point is a lot greater than what you can handle. If you don't already know this by now, it's a surprise you survived this long.

Finding an isolated locale, Allyn shifted to his Mage suit and continued his journey across the city.

Dealers tried to catch his attention, urging him to purchase their products, especially those who sell weapons that are viewed by them as the best. Needless to say, Allyn gave them no heed. He already has what he needs.

.

.

.

Hours later, viewing it from higher ground, the fortified city under the Cruel Clan could be seen. It would still take a couple of minutes to arrive, so yeah, still got a few more steps to go.

Allyn spots a group of individuals heading towards the Skycruel city, about four of them, to be more precise. They looked quite formidable, with each of them having separate weapons in their possession.

The moment they noticed him, he turned his attention away and continued onward…

The territory of the Skycruel clan covers many meters outside the city itself, and the tree-laden areas should have many life forms, one of which he's coming after.

Merchants coming from the opposite direction caught his attention. Most of them are middle-aged, with only a few younger lads among them.

With a nod, both parties gave themselves a slight greeting before continuing in the opposite directions.

Seconds later, the panicked voices of those merchants resounded, which got Allyn's attention...

A creature appeared from the bushes and is headed their way like the predator that it is. The creature possesses multiple eyesight on all parts of its head, so it has no blind spot.

"A Spider." Allyn is taken aback by its abnormal size.

This creature is many times larger than an average human, almost as tall as a truck. It also has 8 limbs, making outrunning it difficult.

Squeaking, the inside of its terrifying jaws revealed itself. The countless fangs in its mouth can crush a person to smithereens.

*KaBang!!*

Abruptly, the giant spider got shot very close to its head, and it squealed in pain. The creature then turns its attention to the direction from which that attack came from.

'Damn my luck,'

Pulling the trigger repeatedly, he rapidly cut its health. The giant spider darts towards him and is just a few meters away from inflicting damage while expressing its anger by showcasing its terrifying fangs once again (that was a mistake).

Allyn destroyed the creatures' inside by shooting into its open mouth, and it died...

'Close call,'

"Thank you! We owe you our lives," one of the helpless Merchants spoke to Allyn on behalf of the others.

"Not a problem I guess," says Allyn in reply, "I was hoping to get a few info that would be of help to me."

"Oh! sure, we owe you more than that anyway,"

"By any chance, are you familiar with the so-called Skycruel Clan?"

"We are from the city of Cruel, so yes indeed, we are very much familiar with them,"

"I need to get a creature called the Mutant Fowl,"

His words were unexpected, and he could sense a bit of hesitation from their reply...

"I'll suggest against that," says the Merchant, "The possibility of getting one without getting caught is very low."

"getting caught?"

"Yeah,"

"So... there is no other way?"

"There is," the Merchant said in reply, "The Skycruel values their territory, and as the impression that I gave earlier, killing anything within their territory no matter how dangerous it might be is against the law. However, if by any chance you need to take something that belongs to them, you'll need permission."

Allyn had guessed how problematic this would be and he was right all along....

"Getting permission means spending for what you need," The Merchant added.

"With Spirit Stones?"

"Yes,"

"Crap!"

Allyn's plans just went sideways...
