C6 Signing of the Agreement

When Ning Qianyu returned to the hospital, she found that her mother had been moved from the general ward to the VIP intensive care unit. Cardiac surgery specialists were in the ward discussing about her mother's condition too.

When the doctor saw Ning Qianyu, he immediately went up to her with a flattering face, "Miss Ning, you're back. Regarding your mother's surgery, the hospital has sent China's most authoritative cardiologist to diagnose her condition. The specific plan is still to be decided."

"Okay, thanks." Of course, Ning Qianyu understood that all of this was because of Mu Shengchen, that man, causing that doctor to behaved differently from before.

She felt slightly distress within her, but she was the one who chose this path, and there was no going back.

She did not notice when did the nurses and doctors leave the ward, leaving only the sound of the electronic medical equipment.

Ning Qianyu quietly sat down beside the sickbed. The cardiogram showed that her mother's heart rate had been stabilized, wearing an oxygen mask on her slightly pale face. Ning Qianyu gently held her mother's hand and placed it against her cheek, eyes glimmered with watery tears.

"Mom, did you hear what the doctor said? Once you're conscious, you'll be able to undergo the surgery…"

Ning Qianyu was so tired from crying that she fell asleep by the bed. She was startled from her sleep when she heard someone knocking at the door.

She put her mother's hand under the blanket and got up to open the door, seeing Ye Xi standing outside.

"Miss Ning, Young Master Chen told me to deliver the agreement for you to sign."

As expected, Ning Qianyu's gaze darkened as she replied, "Okay."

She closed the door and led Ye Xi to the reception room that was connected to the ward.

"Miss Ning, there's another copy of the agreement. If you have any requests, feel free to propose it." Ye Xi handed Ning Qianyu a 'letter of agreement' which had an official seal of a lawyer on it, it gave her a feeling that Mu Shengcheng an unyielding man.

Ning Qianyu read through the agreement and realized that all the terms were favorable to her. Only the last item stated that the marriage could only be ended by Mu Shengchen. Ning Qianyu frowned slightly, then smirked lightly as if she was mocking at herself.

This was a contractual marriage, she had no right to speak, then what was she hoping for?

When she saw Mu Shengcheng's name written on the left, she was slightly stunned. Then she signed 'Ning Qianyu' on the right in a carefree manner. Ning Qianyu heaved a sigh of relief after signing the agreement.

Everything had already become a foregone conclusion!

Ye Xi put away the letter of agreement and looked at Ning Qianyu's right arm, "Miss Ning, I've already arranged the doctor in charge for Madam Ning. They are just waiting for her condition to stabilize before they could proceed to the surgery. There will be a doctor treating your injury later too. Please cooperate with the doctor."

Ning Qianyu's gaze fell on her right arm that was in a cast. Right! How could the Young Master Mu's wife be a cripple? "I will."

Ye Xi nodded towards Ning Qianyu before leaving.

After sending off Ye Xi, Ning Qianyu returned to the ward and kept the agreement well in a safe place. If her mother was to find out about this agreement, she would be in big trouble.

Not long after Mother Ning woke up, she got slightly panicked when she realized that the ward had changed.

"Qianyu, why did you change the ward?"

Ning Qianyu comforted her mother with distress, "Mom, he's the one who arranged the VIP ward for you." However, that man had been switched from Mu Jinbo to Mu Shengchen.

"That would be too expensive." Mother Ning muttered while Ning Qianyu forced a smile on her face. "Mom, this is his little gift for you. Don't mind about the money."

After hearing what her daughter said, Mother Ning felt that it was somehow inappropriate, however, she remained silent.

In the evening, Ning Qianyu was taken by the nurse to check on her right arm. Her condition was good and did not worsen. After the doctor gave her medication, the numbness in her arm had disappeared too.

Mother Ning's condition had also improved and her surgery had been set to two days later.

During their breakfast, Mother Ning hesitantly asked, "Qianyu, how is your work?"

Ning Qianyu calmed herself down and returned to the ward. After informing her mother that she had something to take care of, she then took her bag with her and left.

When she came out of the hospital, Ye Xi's car was already parked in front of the hospital. Mu Shengchen was dozing off in the back seat, by judging from his fatigue look, it was obvious that he had not had a good rest.

Ning Qianyu pulled down the passenger seat and sat on it.

The car was drove from the Third General Hospital all the way to the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
