Merciless.

After we travelled for a few more hours, we reached the place where the third test, phase or trial, was going to happen. The place was at the top of the Tricky Tower, a max security prison. After arriving, we had to jump from the airship on the top of this tower. Then I proceeded to search for the openings to enter inside the tower because I knew that we had to do this, while the others had to crack their heads to figure out what did they had to do.

Seeing that Vergo was having trouble in discovering his objective, I looked at him and said this. "Vergo, you have to find opening on the ground so that you can enter the tower." To which he only nodded with an enlightened face.

After a few minutes of search, I found one trapdoor and looked at Vergo with a smile. "See you." I said before jumping inside of it. Looking around, I found a stopwatch on top of a circular table. Grabbing it, I placed it on my right wrist before looking at the time. I saw that it was already ticking.

A few hours later.

'Huff. Getting down the tower was quite easy. Some giant bolders chased after me, Indiana Jones style. I had to kill giant dogs and solve some annoying puzzles. Finally, I reached a simple door. Hopefully, I will find something different and more entertaining.' I thought before I looked at the time and saw that I lost 6 hours.

'Damn, completing the annoying puzzles took more time than I expected.' I shaked my head before I got through the door.

Then, I reached a place where it was similar to an arena. Inside of this arena, there was someone that looked like a prisoner.

"Prisoner, if you kill this examinee, your sentence will be reduced in 72 years." I heard an examiner's voice saying this.

'Does the Hunter Association even care about criminals being on the loose? At this point, this is just straight up not caring about the safety of the inocents doing this exam. Not that I care. Either that or they are really confident about putting the prisoners out before they become a threat.' I thought.

Then I saw that the prisoner's handcuffs came out and dropped on the floor before the man took his hood out of his head. When he did this, I could see his face. He had the appearance of a white middle aged man.

"Hello there. My name is Gamou, a serial killer. You will be my next victim. I can't wait to tear you apart and hear your screams. But first I always make sure to know the names of my victims. So tell me what is your name?" He asked with a crazed smile.

Without even saying anything, I dashed and my right hand found a way inside Garou's chest. I tried to remove his heart like Killua did with his prisoner but what I could remove was just a disgusting lump of flesh, not the perfect heart like Killua's.

"Huff. I still have a long way to go. However, if I practive enough, I'll eventually reach that level." I said before I tossed the flesh that was on my hand on the ground.

"H-How?" Garou asked while his body fell on the ground.

"Fufufufufufufufu. It is a miracle that you are still alive even after you chest was destroyed. I really need to improve my precision." I shaked my head before I stomped his head.

Destroying his skull, spreading a lot of his brain matter on the ground.

The door that was closed before Garou's death, magically opened after I terminated his head. I walked through it and had to pass by many more annoying traps.

In the end, I managd to get to the end of the tower. After I walked past the last door, when I managed to get to the end of the tower, I head an announcement saying. "Oemitsu, applicant #369, is the second to pass. Total time, eight hours and thirty minutes."

Looking around the almost empty room, almost because I spotted someone. That someone was Hisoka. He was sitting on the other side of the room. When he heard me arriving, he opened his eyes and got up. Then he began to walk in my direction. Seeing this, I also walked towards his direction.

We stopped only when we were separated by one feet of distance.

"I'm really excited. You are growing stronger and stronger." I could see that he was really excited to fight me. Every single fiber of my being and my instincts were telling me to run away but my brain was filled with the simple idea of fighting him.

"It is not the time yet. We will have our fight. However it is not right now." I told him before I went to a corner and sat while leaning against the wall.

After doing this, I closed my eyes and inside my mind, my status appeared.

'I am truly growing stronger. Now, all of my stats are in the 300 and I finally got 2 new assassin skills. Even with this boost in strength, I'm still 100% sure that Hisoka will beat my ass if we fight. But, for some reason, I must fight him. There is something blocking me and I feel that Hisoka is the answer for this something. Huff, not the right time to think about this.' I thought before I relaxed my body.

I stood like this until I heard the sound of the door opening. Opening my eyes, I saw that Illumi was the one who arrived just now. He was using that weird disguise with the pins.

"Hmm? It is a suprise that someone actually got here faster than me. Besides Hisoka that is." He said.

After this I simply ignored him and closed my eyes again. After a few hours, I hears the door opening again and Vergo was the one who came throught the door.

"Congratulation, Vergo. After all, you are the 4th one with only 12 hours. I smiled while looking at him.

60 hours later.

I woke up with Vergo tapping at my shoulder and heard this. "5... 4... 3... 2... 1... 0." The countdown for the phase to end finally reached zero.

Right before it ended, I saw that those 5 finally had appeared. Killua, Gon, Leorio, Kurapika and Tonpa(who cares), had finally arrived. In the last seconds too, trully lucky. This made me smile.

'My fight with Hisoka is coming closer and closer.' I got up, congratulated Gon and headed towards the exit.

After this, I followed the orders and picked a card from the box. I ended up picking the card with the number #198 on it. After returning to my place, I looked at Vergo and asked. "Which card did you got?" To which he showed me his card that had the number #197. "Vergo, we might get this done with in a couple of hours." I smiled at such thing.

After this, we embarked on the ship that will lead us to the island where the 27 remaining competitors will hunt themselves.

'This will be like my own playground.' I thought of this as I looked at my card.
