Hunting Two Preys.

After a few minutes, I finally regrouped with Vergo.

"The Spiders have split up. They are trying to get information about the ones who stole their treasure." Vergo said.

"Hmm. One of the Shadow Beasts must have said that someone kidnaped Owl, the carrier of the treasure, and the Spiders must have concluded that there was a third party involved. This party not only stole their treasure but also blamed it on them.

With Uvogin after Kurapika and the Spiders splitting up, leaving themselves unguarded, this is the perfect time to attack. It is time to dismember a Spider. Fufufufufufu." I laughed.

I was currently on top of a string that was connected to a cloud, this was one of the abilities of my Akuma no Mi, known as Ito Ito no Mi, the string fruit.

'Nyarlathotep gave me two rewards. One of them was the Ito Ito no Mi, while I still haven't mastered every single ability that it has, the fruit extended my ability pool greatly. A pity that I also haven't awakened it and I have difficulty in creating clones but, at least, I can use it's basic abilities well. I can kill people, if they aren't expecting, very easily.' After looking around, I finally found my two targets.

'Shalnark and Kortopi. Normally the Spiders walk in duos, so they must be a team. However they are weak, still I cannot let any of them escape. The more my abilities stay hidden, the better.' I saw them walking down the street with Vergo following them on top of the rooftops.

I grasped my chin and thought. 'Now how should I proceed?' At this moment, I saw Kortopi splitting up from Shalnark and entering a bathroom. 'Bingo. I'm quite a lucky guy. I didn't think that an opportunity would appear this quickly.' I jumped from the cloud and reached the ground.

After making sure that no one heard or saw me doing this, I walked towards the bathroom and entered in it like I was a normal human being. When I entered, I saw Kortopi using one of the urinals, so I took this chance and approached him like I was going to pass by him.

But I turned in the last second and focused my Nen on my hand and also made my blood circulation increase in my fingers making my nails grow in length and become more sharper, this made my fingers more efficient for assassination.

Kortopi, at the last moment, felt my killing intent and tried to dodge, however, he wasn't fast enough. My hand went through his heart and I pulled it out. Kortopi tried to scream, using his last seconds of life, but I moved my left hand's fingers and a few strings, that were incredibly hard to be seen, sliced his head off.

I simply looked at his head that was falling on the floor and thought. 'If he had one more second, he could have dodged my assassination attempt, I even caught him completely off guard, impressive. But the Spiders just arrived in Yorknew City, so they are not expecting someone to hunt them down.

That it is quite ironic. Kortopi died in the same way he did in the manga. In a bathroom. It just shows how insignificant he is... Was. His ability, while very useful for stealing, it is pretty useless in a battle.' I threw his heart on the ground and picked his head up.

Then, I headed outside and saw Shalnark not even paying attention to me.

"Hey. You forgot something." I called for his attention before I threw Kortopi's head to him.

He grabbed it by instinct, afterwards, he got a proper look at what he just grabbed.

"Ahhhhhhh!" He screamed as tears came out of his eyes.

I took the chance that his mentality took a heavy strike and dashed at him. 'Shalnark was always the most emotional out of all of the Phantoom Troupe members and while he is enraged, he cannot use Nen properly. Nen requires concentration, while enraged you can get a power up in certain times, however, you lose sight of everything, except the person that you want to kill, unless you are someone that can keep your cool while enraged.'

"I'm going to kill you!" He screamed while I tried to puncture his heart.

Shalnark grabbed my hand before he punched me, but I stopped his hand by catching it with my other hand. At this moment, Vergo appeared behind him and hit him on the back of his head with his staff.

This made Shalnark sway to the side by the blow's strength and release my hand. I took this chance and, before he could recover from the blow, I used my hand to pierce his heart. But he dodged to the side, on the last second, however, he still took a fatal damage, since my hand hit his lung.

He jumped back and got some distance from me and Vergo. Looking at him, you could see that there was a dark red spot on the right side of his chest. From it, blood was pouring out. 'He is losing more and more blood. If this continues, he will die really fast.' I thought.

Shalnark, suddenly used his remote and, he made the pedestrians start to attack us. But, obviously, I wouldn't let such pathetic trick work against me. In response, I simply used. "Goshikito." And swipped my hand with my 5 fingers in a claw, this made 5 strings appear and slice most of the pedestrians into 5 pieces.

Looking at Vergo, I said. "He cannot escape." And he nodded and followed after me.

I was looking at Chrollo while thinking. 'It is only a matter of time before we fight. I can't wait. But the boss always has 2 members of the Phantoom Troupe with him. I may want to fight him, but I have no interest in fighting the entire Troupe alone. Mitsu and Kurapika should be able create a distraction that will allow me to fight him in a 1 vs 1, and finally fullfil my dream. Ahh, I really can't wait.'

Looking around, I saw that 10 of the 13 Spiders were already gathered in this temporary hideout. 'Hmm. But it is weird for Shalnark to be late, he is always one of the members who comes early to meetings.' I pondered.

*Ring*. *Ring*. *Ring*.

Suddenly, a phone ringed, this phone belonged to Phinks. I simply ignored him since I'm only interested in the Boss. But I had to pay attention to what was happening, when Phinks suddenly screamed. "Are you okay?!"

This made everyone stop what they were doing and look at him.

"Ok, ok! I will place it on loudspeaker." He said said that before he pressed a button.

"*Cough*. *Cough*. I don't have much time. There is someone hunting the Phantoom Troupe members." When he said that, Nobunaga asked. "Where are you?"

"Shut up and listen! It doesn't matter where I am. I will tell you everything about your opponent before I die. *Cough*. The ability of the enemy is-Ahhhhhhhh!..." After he screamed there was only silence.

"Now that is a surprise." I said.

"Tch. What is going on? Shalnark are you there?" Nobunaga asked.

"Fufufufufufufu. To tell the truth, I'm quite disappointed with Shalnark. I was expecting more from him. I hope that the rest of the Phantom Troupe will be more fun to play with." Someone that wasn't Shalnark spoke on the other side of the line.

"Joker, is that you?" Machi asked.

"Fufufufufufufu. Well, if it isn't my friend Machi. How have you been?" The voice said.

"I'm going to kill you if you touch Shalnark!" She warned.

"You don't have to worry. He is a alive,for now. Fufufufufufu." He said.

"What do you want?" Chrollo asked.

"If you kill Shalnark, I will hunt you down." Machi threatened.

"Ow. This hurts. We spent a lovely time together and now you are this cold to me." He seemed to be pained.

"I will kill you if you do not return Shalnark in 5 minutes!" She, yet again, tried to threaten him.

"I'm not interested. I just wanted to meet the Phantom Troupe. Anyways, I will hang up now. Oh, wait. It seems that I forgot something. What was it?... Hmm. Oh yeah, I lied. Shalnark is already dead." Right after saying that, he hang up.
