'We retreated after absorbing the east tribe. Out of the 130 tribesmen, only 40 survived, 10 were men and the rest were women. When we arrived on the Cherokee tribe, they were all surprised, after all, we left with 30 men and returned with 515. Out of these 515 tribesmen and tribeswomen, 135 were men. Which means that we now had enough men to create an army.
The only thing left is teaching them how to act like an army and get them decent equipment. Fighting with stone spears is laughable, to say the least. The old man Guru was rather suprised when we returned with 135 tribesmen.
After that, I stayed for the night. In the next morning, as soon as the sun showed up, me, together with 80 men, marched all the way to the south tribe. Apparently, according to the Guru, there is a deadly tribe on top of the mountain that is known for their individual fighting prowess. They are ruthless and incredibly strong. They are known as the Xirong mountain tribe. After hearing that, I wanted to go there and fight them, however, now isn't the right time. I want to have at least 1000 men before I do such thing and my current soldiers are rather pathetic.
The only thing they can do is fight weaker forces. They even struggled against the weak east tribe. I had to be the one who stepped in and killed the enemy leader. If I didn't they would take at least a couple of hours to defeat them.' I shaked my head.
My current location was on the biggest tent in the south tribe. Right in front of me is my army in action. They are raping and killing everything they see.
"They are really pathetic." Machi said.
"Huff. I know but you can't kill them all. I will have to teach them how to behave like a decent army. If they keep raping and looting everything they will end up getting killed by their enemies. Their main priority should always be to capture the enemy before they want to do something else." I massaged my temples, wondering about what would be the best approach to this situation.
"So pathetic. They are a bunch of weaklings that fear you, and yet, they are behaving like they are strong." Machi continued.
Pakunoda nodded. "If I say that I'm disgusted by their behaviour, it would be an understatement. I don't know what I'm more disguted off, the fact that weaklings are acting like they are strong, or the fact that they are raping every woman they see. Good thing that you left Shiro back at the headquarters with Shizuku and another 55 men with them. You wouldn't want your pure sister to see such a sight."
I nodded at her remark before I turned to the guide. "Get them all grouped up in 15 minutes. If any of them are missing, then they are going to be executed."
The guide widened his eyes. "15 minutes, Sire?! It is impossible! Most of the soldiers are spread out doing whatever they want." He tried to reason with me but I ignored.
"Fufufufufu. I want it done. I don't care if it is impossible. If any of them don't show up, then they are going to be executed and you are going to join them. Now, go." I shooed him with my hand.
After he saw that I wasn't going to change my mind, he ran and began to call as many of the tribesman as possible.
"You know that he isn't going to be to be able to get everyone right?" Machi asked.
"Fufufufufu. I know." I told them.
"So, you aren't expecting him to succeed?" Pakunoda asked.
"I'm not. I know that they are not going to assemble in time, however, this will allow me to discipline them." I shrugged.
And sure enough, 15 minutes later, only 70 showed up.
"I am so sorry, Sire, but I could only gather 70 men." The guide said as he bowed.
After looking at each and every single one of them, I turned to Machi. 'Go get the other 10."
"It will my pleasure." She smiled before shd dissapeared.
A minute later, she came back with 10 naked men wrapped around her strings. After gathering them, Machi simply dropped them on the floor in front of the army.
"You know, I couldn't care less if you rape or kill. As far as I am concerned, you can do whatever you wish after the battle has been won, however... IF I SAY TO ASSEMBLE YOU WILL ALL ASSEMBLE!!!" I yelled before grabbing the head of one of the soldiers that were too busy to follow my order and smashed it on the floor.
This splashed his brain matter everywhere. The other ones, when they say this horrible scene, screamed.
"My orders are absolute! ANY DEFIANCE WILL BE MET WITH DEATH!!!" I grabbed another by the neck.
"P-please. Don't, please!" He implored.
But I ignored and smashed his head on the ground. "From now on, you are prohibited of raping and looting. You are only allowed to do it, when you are ordered to do so!" I placed my hands on the head of another soldier, and ripped his head off with my bare hands.
With the soldier's head on hand, I turned to look at the other men who were trembling and threw the head at their feet. "AM I UNDERSTOOD?!?!"
"YES!!!" They loudly yelled.
"Good, I like people who understand everything." I commented.
At this moment, the other 7 soldiers brightened up, probably thinking they wouldn't die.
Turning to Machi, I said. "Kill the other 7." After issuing my order, I saw them falling into dispair.
It was quite entertaining. Machi, following my order, hanged them all up. Hopefully, this sight will be burned into the current soldiers's minds, and remain there for as long as they live.
Turning to the guide, I asked. "Are there any more tribes close by?"
"I don't know. I don't know much about the higher parts of the mountain." He answered.
Then I turned to my 70 captives. "Does anyone know anything about the tribes that are close by?"
No one replied to me.
"What a shame. I will have to kill everyone in here then." I shrugged.
Suddenly, one of the man got up. "I know!"
"Wonderful. Now, which tribe is the closest one?" I asked.
"There is a tribe just a little bit up the north. But they are quite strong. They are always in conflict, so their tribesman are strong. They are one of the strongest on the mountain." He said.
"Good." I nodded. 'Hmm. I just lost 10 soldiers of my army, out of my captives 20 are men...' After pondering for a little, I said. "You guys will replace the one I lost. Join the army and line up."
I turned around and not even bothering to hear anything. An hour later, my entire army of 80 men is ready. Ready to march. I had to use 10 men to send the 50 women back to the main camp. Slowly and slowly I am increasing the size of my tribe...
"Let's go and see how strong this tribe is." I told them before I began the march.
Me, together with my men, marched through a forest before we finally arrived at the camp of the tribe.
"Bingo. There is at least 1000 tribeswomen and at least 100 men. They are all in guard, so it means that some of them must be resting. Meaning that they should have at least 150 soldiers... how surprising, they even have some basic fortifications. But what I'm interested in, is their equipment. It is made of metal." I grinned at such a delicious prey.
When I looked at my soldiers, I saw that all of them were scared, with some even trembling. "What are you scared of? I am leading you. Have I ever lost? JUST FOLLOW ME CHAAAAAARGE!!!" After yelling that, I led the charge.
As soon as the enemies noticed, it was already too late. I was already inside of their camp, killing anyone that came in my way. The only thing around me was pure carnage. Any soldier that tried to even place his sword near me, would lose his head. However, there is only one thing that I am after, and that is the head of the leader of the tribe.
Suddenly, I heard a few screams. When I turned around, I saw my army following me like a bunch of animals. "Good. They are learning." I nodded.
One of the soldiers tried to kill me while I was looking at my army, but before he could even reach my personal space, his head had already left his shoulders.
"Out of my way!" I told them while I used Conqueror's Haki, this knocked everyone that was near me out. 'In this past 2 years, I have managed to master my Conqueror's Haki.'
Out of the 150, no one was left standing. After overlooking the battlefield, I turned to the big man who was barely standing. He probably was the tribe leader. Well he was. Now, he isn't. The only thing left of him is a headless body. My army was just standing there, not sure of what happened. They charged killed a couple of them, and every single one of them just fell. They were expecting death from such a charge, and yet, their leader has beheaded the enemy's commander. The only thing left was the cheers.
"Hey! Do something useful and tie the ones who are unconscious. Remember, rape is not allowed." I warned them. 'Out of the 150 soldiers, only 100 survived. The 1000 tribewomen were pretty unscathed.' I took my hand off my chin and said. "I have no interest in the women." Then I looked at the ones who were being tied. 'They probably thought that I was going to rape them or something. I'm more interested in getting those 100 soldiers on my army, though.'
"I will give you two choices. Either you submit or die." Right after saying that, all of them submitted.
They knew that they had no hope on either escaping or killing me. Besides, even if they managed to escape, they would just end up as slaves of other tribes.
'In two days I got 1685 of total population. Counting the ones the tribe already had before I joined them, would make 1720. Out of these 1720, only 225 are men. Since 10 died on this battle, it is not enough. I need four times this ammount. There has to be a more efficient ways of getting more men.' I pondered.
(You can split your army. If you split your army in 3, make Pakunoda and Machi lead those sub-armies. That way, you could gain 3 times the current population in less time. However, there is also a risk. Machi and Pakunoda are not army leaders, so they have no idea in how to lead an army. Because of that, they will probably end up losing soldiers because of dumb mistakes.) Nyar suggested.
"Huff." I massaged my forehead. 'It is a risk that I have to take. I don't know in which timeline I'm currently on. And I don't know if Tigre has already ended the Brune Civil War, if he has, then it will make my rise into power harder.'
(You don't have to worry. You are around 4 years before the cannon of the series starts.)
'Is that so. Still, I have 4 years to create a strong army. The best bet I have is to unite the mountain tribes under one banner. From what I have heard, there are some tribes that are a nightmare to people on the surface world, as they call it, if I united all these tribes under one banner, then I could go down the mountains and carve out a Kingdom for myself.' I turned my attention to Machi. "Machi, I will give you 50 men. Destroy as many tribes as possible."
"I don't know how to lead an army." She immediately replied.
"Now you will learn. It is better to start now, or else, later on you will regret it." I told her.
"Huff. There is no way thar you are going to change your mind, is there?" She dejectedly asked.
"Nope." I shaked my head. "And Pakunoda, I will give you the same amount of troupes. You will go on a different direction from Machi and do the same."
"Huff. I knew that I would also have to suffer." She facepalmed.
"Remember, always clench any rebellion and kill anyone who questions your authority. As for the tribes, try to kill as little as possible. The mountain people respect the strong, and they are subjugated quite easily. Probably because they think that we are one of them. I highly doubt that they would be subjugated this easily if someone from Brune came here with an army." I wondered. "Hopefully Shiro can manage all of the people that we are sending her. I will need to learn how to govern. One thing is leading the army and conquering tribes, another thing is governing them. We have ethnic differences and they only respect the strong. I hope that in 6 months I will be able to unite every single tribe under this mountains. Quite ambitious, however, it can be done. And as soon as I do it, I will spread terror throughout the world." I grinned.
However, what I didn't knew at the time, was that this world would be the one who would show me the pleasure and the terror of wars.
