Escaping, Meeting the Protagonist, and Warning.

"So you know who I truly am?" Ganelon asked.

"I do. Now, if you don't mind, leave your head behind, Demon. I need it." I told him.

"For a human, you are quite cocky." He said.

Right after he finished, I was already in front of him, punching his face. "I am not a human."

Ganelon dragged his feet for a few meters before he stopped, and took a deep breath. After that, he expelled a huge fireball from his mouth, in my direction. At my command, an ice blade came from the floor right in front of me, splitting the fireball in half.

When both halfs passed by me, I attacked him. "Pentagon Strings!"

But Ganelon dodged the strings, before he lifted his hand up, and pointed at the sky, his hand began to emit a blue light before he brought it down in my direction.

*Rumble*.

From the sky, many thunderbolts rained down. I stretched my arms before an ice dome appeared around me.

*Bam*. *Bam*. *Bam*. *Bam*.

The thunderbolts were relentless and struck my ice dome with strength. fter a couple more thunder strikes, the dome broke, and revealed that my dead body was lying there, charred.

"Tch. He is just another weakling." Ganelon shook his head.

But before he could celebrate his win, I appeared behind him, and stabbed him in the back with my hand.

"Ahrg! H-how?" He asked while he spat out blood.

"You were fighting a clone." As I told him that, the clone made of strings disappeared.

With his heart pumping on my hand, I clenched my hand, and his heart exploded. I moved my arm, and threw his body on the ground.

When I looked around, I saw my cavalry finally arriving into the camp.

(He's still alive.) Nyar told me.

When I looked at the body, and I saw Ganelon getting up, and running away.

"You won't escape." I said.

But Ganelon got in between my soldiers, I could not see him anymore.

(He can Shapeshift.) Nyar said.

"Tch. Weakling. Let's see if you can get out of this." I spread my arms. "Bird Cage." My strings began to move accordingly to my will, and a huge cage made of strings entrapped the entire headquarters.

Afterwards, I made sure to massacre every single one of Ganelon's soldiers, but Ganelon himself was nowhere to be seen. I only managed to capture his little rat Greast. 'There was a high chance that Ganelon was hidden in my army, but if he can shapeshift, what if he could shapeshift into objects.' I massaged my closed eyes. 'For now, the question is what to do with Greast.'

(Just kill the creep.) Nyar commented.

'In the light novel, he tormented Eleonora, and broke her. This could work for me. I might be able to use him.' I told her.

At this moment, Koku arrived at my side. "Should I kill him, my King?"

"Don't, release him." I turned to her.

"Why, my King? Why let such a weakling live?" She was confused.

"Koku, what is more important, the Vanadis Eleonora, or him?" I inquired.

"The Vanadis are obviously more important." She answered.

"Its good that you know the priorities. Release him then." I ordered.

"Understood, my King." She bowed.

Right after she released Greast, he immediately ran away.

"Run to the capital! Ganelon will be there!" I yelled. 'He will probably raly his troops there. I don't want to siege the capital. I'm just waiting for the Vanadis to deliver themselves to me. If I play my cards right, then I can get at least 4 of them, and a Devil. Letting Ganelon go in exchange for 5 seals is a small price to pay.' I thought.

Suddenly, Kyoukai appeared behind me. "My King, Duke Thenardier has invade Alsace with 3,000 troops."

"Let me guess. He was defeat by the Earl of Alsace." I said.

She nodded. "Yes, my King. The Earl of Alsace has invited a war maiden from Zhcted to his lands, and together, they have killed the Duke's son."

"Hmm. Maybe it is time to pay a visit to the Vanadis."

(Eleonora POV)

'We managed to drive the Duke's forces out of Alsace, the question is what comes next. Tigre is rallying the nobles across the southern lands against Thenardier, and after being annoyed by the King, now every war maiden has the right to do as they wish with the Brune Civil War. Which means that while I support Tigre, Ludmila supports Thenardier. Two war maidens will fight, and the king don't care since he will benefit, independently of who wins. Which is why I am currently on this meeting with Tigre and Lim.'

"So we will have to fight another war maiden, huh?" Tigre wondered out loud.

I nodded. "Yes, but don't worry. The only thing she can do is berate you about good manners and character. In reality, she is a child who is just starting to develop."

"Who are you calling a child?!" An angry war maiden barged into the room and yelled

"Lim, why did you allow her inside the mansion?" I turned to her.

"I can't send away a war maiden." Lim answered.

"A war maiden?" Tigre asked.

"Yes, one of the prized war maidens of Zhcted. I am the wilder of the cleansing spear, Ludmila Lourie!" Ludmila exclaimed.

Mila has blue eyes and short blue hair when tied-up and long blue hair when she lets it down. She also wears a hair clip around her hair with a white ribbon on her hair. Shorter than me in height, Mila also has a slender body figure, and a moderate bust size, which she finds it bothersome for her "smaller" bust size, and short stature. She looks like an potato that is just starting to put out.

"Its a pleasure to meet you, Tigrevurmud Vorn." Tigre introduced himself.

"Tigre, this women is not a guest! She doesn't deserve our hospitality!" I told him.

"Fufufufufu. This is a rather interesting party. You must have forgotten to invite me." We suddenly heard a voice from behind us.

After hearing it, all of us immediately turned, and got our weapons ready. The one who was standing in the window had an average height, and silver hair who is getting blown by the wind. One of his eyes was closed, and the another one opened showing clearly his white eye. HeHe was dressed in a formal red attire with a dragon insignia on it. Everyone in this room knows that insignia.

"What does the King of the mountains wants with us?" I asked while I squinted and clenched my sword's hilt.

"Hmm. This is not the place to talk, let's go for a walk." He replied.

No one objected. There was an aura around him that transmitted only one thing. If you fought him you would die. That is the feeling I immediately had. It is not like I was scared of that feeling, on the contrary. I wanted to fight him even more. But I am more curious to know what he is doing here.

When he took a step, he immediatsly appeared on the other side of the hall. "What is wrong? Are you going to come or not?" Before we even noticed, he was already behind us.

Mila was getting ready to fight, however, she didn't advance. Probably curious about what such an individual wants from us.

...

...

...

We were galloping through the forest, in the direction of the city.

"A lot of foreign powers are getting involved in Brune's internal affairs. Eleonora supports Tigre while Ludmila supports the Duke Thenardier." Oemitsu said.

"What does that have to do with you? As far as you are concerned, you rule a nation, you are also a foreigner interfering with Brune's internal affairs." Ludmila inquired.

Suddenly, Oemitsu, who was in the vanguard, stopped his horse. "We are being followed."

All of us looked around for somebody, however, we couldn't see nobody. But soon enough assassins that were on the woods ambushed us. Oemitsu, in response, created an ice spear, and sliced an assassin in half. 3 other assassins attacked us, all from different places. Before we even had the chance to do anything, they were cut in half by Oemitsu.

"So, this is the God of War. You truly deserve that tittle." After Ludmila said that, I couldn't help but nod.

'He has gotten stronger since the last time we fought... way stronger.' As soon as i thought that, a snake of a fallen assassin headed towards Lim.

However, before it reaches Lim, Oemitsu blocked it with his hand. However, his hand got bitten instead of Lim. But before it could poison him further than that, Lim cut the snake in half.

"That snake is poisonous." Tigre pointed.

"Don't worry about such a thing." Oemitsu told him.

"If you don't take care of that bite, you are going to die." Tigre insisted.

"Don't be ridiculous." Oemitsu smiled. "If I die, it will be on a battlefield, not from poison."

After that, he simply galloped towards the city. "If you don't hurry, I will leave you behind."

"There is still the question about who were those assassins after... and who sent them." Lim questioned.

"You aren't saying that Oemitsu did it right? He is a King, there is a higher chance that those assassins were after him instead of us." Ludmila said.

"It wasn't Oemitsu. I was the one who choose this route. If both Tigre, and Oemitsu died on this forest, Thenardier would die of happiness. However, now I owe him since he saved Lim's life." I told him.

Lim was just staring at the ground.

...

...

...

We were walking down the street, with Oemitsu leading with Ludmila. They actually hit it off. They were literally talking about everything, from their favourite tea, to musical instruments. 'I don't get what he likes about a short underdeveloped girl like her.'

At this moment, Ludmila saw a food stall. "Don't tell me that the noble Ludmila, of the proud house Lourie, won't eat food from a street stall?" I smiled.

"Humph! Of course not. I couldn't care less." Her mouth said that.

*Rumble*.

But her stomach said otherwise. After hearing that, I immediately took a plate from the food stall and filled it. "This feels good! It is delicious!" The thing that spiced even more the food was Ludmila's looks of envy.

Oemitsu grabbed a plate, and gave it to Ludmila. "Consider this a present since I didn't bring any when I visited."

"With this? I will accept it since it is the thought that counts. However, as the King of the mountains, only giving this to someone who recieves you in their home, wouldn't you dirty your image?" Ludmilas asked after she grabbed the plate.

"Image? Fufufufu. I couldn't care less about my image. I didn't even want to become a King." He said.

"If you didn't want to become King, why did you became one?" Tigre asked.

"I was born to rule. The position ended up being enforced on me, and now I have the duty of protecting my people. It may not look like, but I am only 14." He said as he placed the spoon on his mouth.

After hearing that, I ended up choking on my food, and the same thing happened with Mila. "You are only 14, and you have defeated me more than 8 times in the battlefield?!" I widened my eyes.

"Hahahahaha. The so called God of War, that you kept claiming in court that is the strongest General on the continent, is just a child? Are you sure that your weapon, Arifar, didn't made a mistake in choosing you?" Mila exclaimed.

"So it is you who has been spreading those annoying rumours." Oemitsu turned to her.

"Hahahaha. Its her. She called you the God of War in the court, and from there on out, it got stuck to you as a nickname." She said.

"And here I thought you hated me from what I did to your friend, Sasha." He commented.

I immediately placed my hand on my weapon. "What happened to Sasha could have happened to any of the Vanadis. I don't harbour any hard feeling towards her injuries. However, I will still defeat you in battle. I will bring you down myself." I squinted.

"Well, I might as well say what I am here for. For starters all of Zhcted troops must withdrawal from Brune, or else I will intervene directly on the Civil War. I will not only end it, but also declare war on Zhcted." Oemitsu told us with a big smile.

'It seems that he really enjoys fighting in the battlefield.'

"You have already intervened directly on the civil war when you took Lutetia." Lim said.

"I didn't. I only ended Duke Ganelon's tyranny on its subjects. However, he ran away to the capital, so the civil war is still on going between Ganelon, and Thenardier. Don't forget. I have a claim on the throne, after all, my sister was engaged to the King's son." He said.

"So, you came here to warn us." I wondered.

"No. I came here to see you, and Ludmila. I wanted to see the war maiden that I fought in war personally, and the one I didn't fight yet. Besides it isn't a warning. It is an ultimatum. Either get your troops out of Brune or our nations will go back to war. " He said.

"If I did fight you, you would lose." Ludmila proudly said.

"Fufufufufu. You are welcome to try, however, facts are facts. I have never lost on the battlefield, and I don't plan on losing soon." He said before he turned to Tigre. "So, you are Earl of Alsace. You managed to defeat a force 3 times your size in Alsace, and you also managed to kill the Duke Thenardier's son." He squinted.

"I merely defended my people." Tigre selflessly said.

"A righteous man of valor, and justice who will fight to protect his lands from any enemy threats. I never saw anybody like you... however, the more righteous the man is, the worse his ending will be." He seriously stared at Tigre's eyes while he flared his killing intent, making everyone who was passing by tremble from the sheer pressure he emitted. "Tigrevurmun Vorn, heed my warning. Don't fight me or you will die." After a few more seconds pressuring us, he simply turned around with his hand behind his back, and left.

"Don't worry, Tigre. You have me on your side. I will break the so called God of War." I told him.

"I will not back out of my alliance with the Duke Thenardier, so Oemitsu is not the only opponent you have to worry about." After Ludmila said that, she with shortly left.

I turned to Lim. "Fortify the borders of Leitmeritz. Get ready from an invasion from the north, and from the south."

"Eleonora-sama, you don't think that Ludmila will..."

"Knowing her, she might invade my lands. But she is not the biggest of my concerns, we picked up a fight with Oemitsu, he will surely send his army to Leitmeritz." I confirmed her suspicions.

"Come. I will not make the same mistake of 2 years ago." I clenched my hand.
