"Brother?" Kali carefully called

"Kali?" Theo turns around and sees Kali.

"Oh, I'm sorry brother, I didn't know you are busy." Kali put her hand and covered her mouth as she acted like a shy noble lady.

'Who is this?' Theo looked at Kali from Head to Toe. She definitely looked like Kali but she is acting differently.

"I can go back if you're busy."

"Oh no. My lady, Sir Theo, is not busy. I am sorry for taking too much of his time."

"Really? Umm. . . "

"Let me introduce myself, I am Francis Delacorte, eldest son of Count Delacorte." A man with brunette colored hair and hazel eyes introduced himself. Theo is a little taller than him.

'Bingo.' She smiled.

" I am Kaleena Alexanders. You can call me Kali, Sir Delacorte. It is truly delightful to meet the son of Count Delacorte, I can only imagine how amazing he is as your father." Kali is curtsy and smiles.

"You can call me Francis, Lady Kali, but then my lady you are aware of our family?"

"Ofcourse, the Delacorte Family of the South East produce most of the grains and wheat for the kingdom. How could I not know?"

"I am amazed that you are well informed you are truly an amazing person like your brother mentioned."

"I am honored to be praised by you, Sir Francis. "

Kali didn't avert her eyes while talking to Francis eye to eye.

"The pleasure is all mine, Lady Kali."

"Will give me the ho-" Kali raised her hand with open palm.

"Kali!"

"Eh? . . Bro-?"

Theo who came back to his senses slightly grabbed the hanging hand of Kali.

"Francis, You will excuse me and my sister right?" Theo, who put his arms around Kali's shoulder, glared at Francis.

"Of course. Please, Until next time my la--"

"Let's go." He forced Kali to walk away. They went to the other side.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"I was about to ask him to dance."

"What?"

"I need him for our plan."

"WHAT?! what plan?"

"Look, it's effective." Kali pointed her chin to the other side. Francis is smiling and Kali smiles back until Theo blocks their view.

"Hey--"

"What. do. you. think. you. are. doing?" He mouthed his words for Francis to read. Francis gave an awkward smile and left.

Kali sighed and said "Brother, Delacorte is one of the families who sent spies."

" I know." He continues to glare at Francis' direction.

Kali already had this thought among all the Alexanders, Theo is the last person who can cope up with her.

Konrad is letting her do what she wants but all her actions is within his expectations or at least that's what she always felt around the Count while, Gio is observant and have the same wavelength as Kali's, that's how the simple answer and question between them became normal even to the people around them but Theo is something Kali don't understand, he is treating Kali like something else.

'What is it?' Kali wondered from time to time.

Kali prepared several ways to become closer to her targets but Theo became the obstacle.

'Should've I told him about the plan?.'

Gio, who barely got out of the horde of ladies, approaches Kali and Theo.

"What happened?" Gio asked frowning while looking at Theo's crumpled face.

"Kali is planning to seduce every man here."

'What an exaggeration!'

"That's un------true." Kali sighed as she answered but her voice trailed off as she saw Gio's distorted expression.

"Is that your best plan?"

'Here I thought we were on the same wavelength ' She thought annoyingly. Her plans are now flushed in the drain.

Kali is sipping her juice while roaming her eyes around. She is looking for an opportunity to approach her targets.

'Since when did the royal family exit?' Kali frowned at the vacant seats for the royals. She remembers seeing the King looking at dancing debutantes with bored expression while the queen sitting quietly and uncomfortable at King's side, just a few minutes ago. The queen has brunette hair that is nicely tucked behind her like Kali's hairstyle.

The moment the Quest popped out, something inside Kali burned. She immediately turned behind her with wide eyes open and her brothers looked back at her.

"Kal--?" Theo didn't finish calling out to her when the lights went out and total black out surrounded the hall.

"OH MY!!"

"WHAT HAPPENED?"

"OUUUUUCH. Watch it!!!"

Nobles began to panic after a few more seconds and the lights didn't return back.

"DAMMIT! Mana disruption" Gio cursed out loud after he fail to activate his mana detection

"Kali, Where are you?" Theo calls out to Kali then grit his teeth.

Kali is only a few steps away from them, there is no way she can't hear their call but there is no response.

While the nobles continue to panic, the lights turn back on.

"To all our guests, We are sorry for disrupting your evening. There are some unavoidable circumstances that affected the mana lights for a while but rest assured that it's all been fixed." One of the palace's aides came forward and explained the situation.

"Where is father?" Theo asked, staring at the floor.

"He is not yet back." Gio looked ahead at the crowd.

There was a shattered glass of juice on the spot where Kali was standing.

"Is that her?" One masked man asked.

"There are no other black haired girls in there." another answered.

"Let's tie her up quickly." The third masked man said.

They approach the unconscious black hair lady they tossed in the corner of the room. Even before their hand touches her, the girl's head perks up with her illuminating blue eyes deadly staring at them.

Out of reflex the kidnappers jumped back.

"That's impossible! You should be--"

"Asleep?" Kali continued his sentence.

"What are you doing? Go get her!!!" One of the kidnappers shouted. He must be the leader.

Kali stood up and unwrinkled her dress while 2 masked men drew their knives and ran to her.

"You know I have a bad experience. . ."

*Thud *Thud

Kali grabbed the swinging arm and pulled it closer to her and punched him in his guts, as she avoided the second attack she rotated her body making it look like they are in back to back position then she reached for his neck and choked the man up and then threw him on the ground.

". . . in enclosed spaces and masked men. " She continued as she stared at the remaining kidnapper.

"H-How did you---"

"Oh, did you already forget? I am Alexanders. "

Kali's speed is too fast for him to follow. She is suddenly standing 2 steps in front of him. Despite being shorter than him her presence is gigantic as if he is being swallowed whole. The last thing he saw was falling to the ground as he gradually lost his consciousness.

"You should've tied me up first."

Kali coldly looks at the body laying on the floor. She looked around the room. The room has no lights but the moonlight showed she was in a bedroom. A receiving area and bed is present.

She slide her fingers down and open the system

'It's been 10 minutes?' Kali frowned.

She kneels down to the unconscious body and pulls its cloth mask down. It was a middle aged man. He looks like an ordinary man, a commoner. Kali removed all her kidnapper's mask and it was the same. She had been observing the ball especially those who were around her but these three were not familiar.

Kali looked at the door knob noise, After a few more, it opened. Four more masked men entered. Kali missed her chance to hide.

The scene they witness is enough to conclude in the matter of a few seconds that the girl basking in moonlight was responsible for the bodies lying around.

It was a remarkable scene. A girl looking by her shoulders wearing a dress that blends and glitters in the dark room, is standing with the moon at her back, just like a goddess of night that descended upon them.

She had a calm expression but a cold blue eyes that rendered them speechless. She slowly turned her body to face them and walk in their direction as if she was gliding the floor with overflowing elegance.

"Are you one of my people?" Her voice sounded like sweet music to their ears.

"Ah. . hmm." Unable to tear their eyes away from the mesmerizing face of the goddess.

"I'll ask again, are you my people?" Even the slight creasing of an eyebrow is a masterpiece.

The stabbing sound and prickling red blood to floor woke up the remaining masked men.
