What Do You Think?

Vico was startled at Konrad's question. It was rare for Konrad to ask for opinion and Vico has always been faithful to just giving reports.

'Her. Kali Alexanders. The Fake Young Lady. What do I think of her?'

"You've been observing her for months. What do you think of her?" Konrad asked again.

Vico lowered his eyes more, only a quarter more and his eyes will shut.

"She is no different from any normal lady at her age . . ." Vico didn't move from his kneeling and bowing position and that's why he failed to see the narrowed eyes of the Alexanders.

". . . at first glance. She learns, converse, eats and acts like a normal person but. . . there are times I fail to understand her reasons, her actions and way of thinking are not commonly seen especially for someone as young as her. . ." Kali's age was really unknown but judging her appearance she is around the real Kaleena's age. Her look will not pass for a person in their mid 20's.

". . .Sometimes she shows affection and concern . . ." Vico continued as he remembered her agitated eyes as she stared angrily at the wolf being auctioned.

" but most of the time, indifferent. . ." The emotionless and bored look of Kali as parts of a beast and humans continuously being sold. No sign of amusement nor displeasure, discomfort or anything at all. She didn't avert her eyes, not even once, like she was seeing something normal.

"showed no remorse. . . " She broke human fingers without hesitation, even her heart beats remain unchanged. Vico didn't miss Kali's smile in the midst of the man's suffering who did nothing to her.

The Alexanders frowned at Vico's words.

"No Fear. . ." Vico arrived at Kali's location last night a few minutes before he actually appeared. She is limping and cornered but Kali showed no fear nor hesitation. Even after she broke her ankle and slumped down to the ground she showed calmness. He would let Kali swing her spear and kill the man attacking behind her only if his companion didn't step in. He had no choice but to restrain Kali's body from the shadows to avoid her slashing his companion.

"And . . . what I find more did. . . not normal is her extreme bloodlust." Vico finished his opinions with this.

The Alexanders know what having bloodlust means. It means an extreme hunger to spill blood, only those who experience years of wars and continue sightings and killings develop this kind of tendency. The adrenaline that pushes one's body to continue seeking the addicting pleasure of bloodshed. Bloodlust means one step closer to madness.

There was silence in the room. Everyone is thinking Vico's words seriously until Konrad breaks the atmosphere and dismisses everyone.

Konrad laid his back to this chair and murmured to himself.

'Bloodlust is the most concerning, huh? '

"It is not her bloodlust the scariest. . ." Konrad's words trail off.

Theo and Gio were walking in silence, together they were drowning in their own thoughts.

showed no remorse. . .' At Vico's word Theo was once again reminded of the incident where Kali first let out her Bloodlust.

"Is Sir Yurik Dead?" After the first time Kali let out her bloodlust, she asked with pure curiosity and not a hint of concern is painted as if whether Yurik is dead or alive will not make any difference to her.

'Tsk. I have known too many people with similar skill, why didn't I think it wasn't weird she had it?' After Vico's pointing it out Theo begins to question his image of Kali in his head.

Gio who is also playing the event he chose to bury in his mind. The time Kali was thinking of killing the Knights.

'What are you planning to do?'

'Gathering Experience by Killing Humans? You call that indifference?' Gio's thought

Even before The Alexanders had their answers, the question that bugs their mind most is:

"Who the hell is she?"

Meanwhile, Kali is stretching her arms and legs. Luna is jumping around the fox but the fox continues to ignore him.

"I'm going out. Sleep early." She said it as she cracked her neck.

"If somebody comes in, Hide. If they tried to take you. Kill them. Understand?"

Kali had already considered that the fox is here to stay. It never shows any intention of moving out even if she constantly reminds him that he is free and can do whatever it wants. She can feel that the fox understand her but refuse to spoke a word to her.

"Vico. Let's go."

Vico appeared by the corner. Kali had to stare at Vico before she moved.

"What is it?"

". . ."

"What the hell." Kali had a feeling that he had been staring at her longer than usual.

Kali turns her back but gives a side glance at him before putting her new but the same design and poor quality mask to cover her face.

"Let's go." Kali and Vico both disappeared.

Kali didn't wait to be escorted inside the Casino. She barged in and nobody was able to stop her. She went straight to the top floor and there were 10 heavy looking bodyguards outside Feyawi's office.

"For each man I knock out is one finger. Tell that to the casino owner" She didn't waste any time and outright gave a threat.

There was less than a minute before the door to Feyawi's office slowly opened. The intimidating glares of the tall and heavy built body guards made way for her.

'Threat always works on those who already experience the consequence.' Kali thought happily. Passing in the middle as if she is the most respected being is making her day.

Kali entered Feyawi's office. His office is overly decorated with golds,silver, colorful stones and shiny objects.

"My Lord, what can I do for you?"

Kali throws a bag of unprocessed gold. Unprocessed Golds are hard to track since they are not yet serialized, this is her funds for transactions like this since she still can't get her hands on Sakhat Currency yet.

"Information. #32 Fox Masked man from Auction "

"...?"

"..."

"Ahhhh! yes . . . yes. His identity is unknown but his hobby of collecting beasts is well known in black society. He looks high ranking noble at least based on the expensive taste."

"Is that it?"

Feyawi hides his hands in reflex. Those words are traumatizing to him.

"Ahhhhhh. wait. . .He. . . He rarely shows himself to auction o-only if there are rare beast parts. For his ability, nobody has seen it so far. . . and. and and. "

"Enough. Inform that person to not interfere."

"Didn't you steal his items recently?" Feyawi slipped his thoughts out.

". . ." Kali raised an eyebrow under her mask.

"Ah. ah. I mean, T,there are rumors about the incident of stolen auction items." Feyawi continued but he was obviously nervous.

'Hmm?' Kali observed the casino owner more. Something is bugging her.

"It was commissioned. Tell that person not to interfere again."

Feyawi didn't utter a word and just nodded his head multiple times to agree.

Kali and Vico left the casino peacefully unlike their unruly entrance.

"Vico, Is there another person in the room?"

Vico looks at Kali's back who is walking ahead of her. There are questions he wanted to ask her but he held it in.

"Yes." He told her the truth.

Kali wanted to click her tongue at his answer.

'If I didn't ask he wouldn't tell me right? hah'

"Where is he hiding?"

"The wall located at the farthest right corner."

"That person is probably related to the Fox Masked Man if he is not the one. " She said. Vico continued to stare more at her and didn't miss her confident tone in her deduction.

Kali went to Feyawi to gather information about the fox masked man but seeing Feyawi, the same man that kept testing her even though his fingers were broken, stutters a lot in the situation.

The casino owner is playing safe in giving information. like he is carefully picking his words as if the person he is backstabbing is listening.

There is no more reason to stay there since Feyawi is acting like that.

'I cannot trust his words in that kind of situation.' Kali thought

"Didn't you steal his items recently?"

'Rumors huh? Based on his tone, He was so sure I stole them.'

'How can he be so confident if he didn't trust the source unless he is someone who believes in rumors.'

Kali let a small chuckle out.

'Damn, this is getting complicated.'

If Kali gained something tonight. It would be the determination to avoid the Fox Mask Man. He is bad news. Even if Kali purposely said the stolen goods were commissioned, which is technically true since the system gave her QUEST and REWARDS, but in case that man saw Luna and the Fox with 'KALEENA'. It will only be a matter of time before he connects the dots and her disguise will fall.

Kali and Konrad's contract includes that Kali is free to move however she likes, under disguise. Kaleena Alexanders' name must not be involved, once it does, her activities will be restricted and controlled.
