The Hidden Life of the Count's Daughter

"What happened to you? You look. . . tired." These are Theo's morning greetings to Kali.

"I feel tired." She replied. It was past midnight when Kali arrived at the mansion and had a long bath time before retiring. An hour later she woke up in tremendous numbing pain on her right arm and since then she had not had a wink of sleep again.

"For now--- Where is his grace?" Kali's blink slowly and controlled.

"Father will be in a meeting all day, because of--- hey, You look pale. What happened?"

"Master!!" Luna jumped out of his hiding place and quickly ran. Carefully approaching from below he looked up. Kali's face is drained of color and currently staring blankly into empty space.

Theo watches the young wolf jump to Kali's side and peek on her.

"Master?" The wolf lightly taps Kali's arm. There is no response.
