Waiting alone at the Count's office, Kali settles down at the couch and stares at the heavy curtains on the walls.
Beneath those curtains is the large portrait of the black hair and eye countess.
Unlike the portraits she had seen, the portrait in this room is different. Not that she can paint exactly the same expression Ellena was wearing in this painting but she definitely can tell she had a softer look than the Queen's copy and the Keepers of the Records' portrait of her.
"Have you waited long?" A low baritone voice speaks to her.
Even without glancing right away she could tell who was on the other side.
"Not long, your grace." She answered not minding to give a greeting and the count didn't pay attention to it.
