I wasn't sure what to say to that. All I could do was move over to beside Helaina, pulling her into a hug, resting her head on my chest. Helaina didn't resist, and I tried to scan her to see if I could find something wrong, but something stopped me.

I pulled away from Helaina and looked her in the eyes, smiling.

"Hey, do you want to see my three pets?" I asked her with excitement, but Helaina gave me a puzzled look and started to look around.
