The Weird Feeling and the Smile

The night has arrived under the autumn season while the weather is getting colder than usual for the approaching winter. Mayu is at Hwan’s house. Hwan’s mother has turned on the video. It’s a small T.V that has buttons under it with a microphone connected to it. They are in the living room. Mayu is sitting on the sofa while Hwan’s mother is singing happily in front of her. Hwan is currently in the kitchen making tea. When Hwan’s mother finishes singing, she hands over the mic to Mayu. Mayu hesitates for a second while she looks at Hwan in the kitchen. She somehow feels shy and she wonders why.

“Come on, Mayu, sing a song!” Hwan's mother insisted. “The next song is your favorite!”

Mayu swallowed first before she stood in the middle of the living room while she held the mic. The song started but she awkwardly sang the song with a forced singing voice. She’s staring at Hwan in the kitchen, then when Hwan is done making the tea, she looks at the screen of the TV.
