It is to my deepest grief that I must have you wake this morning with such terrible news from the palace. I am simply at a loss of words at the sheer strength of the royal family after all the grievances that have had to overcome these last few decades. It appears that even after years of suffering from the war, our great imperial house of Ignatius continues to suffer for our people.

Late last night, Lord Biron, the royal press secretary informed our newspapers that an assassination attempt had been undertaken in the palace. The military has been called to the palace and the country's best generals testify that it was the work of the rebels who killed Lord Liam Ophelia and kidnapped our jewel.
