Chapter 22

The principal of the school, Mrs.Deinsford was just watching his son and Wither fight from the stadium. Watching together with her is Nicho along with the other teachers of the school.

“Look at them. They move so fast and with accurate hits. I made the right choice of pairing the both of them.” Sir. Salvador said, proud of his decision, glancing at his fellow teachers.

“Yeah. It’s a good choice Mr. Salvador.” The principal praised.

All of them watched the pair fight when suddenly, a frantic guard entered the room.

“Ma’am!”

“Yes guard? What is it?” All of them looked at the guard who just entered as the principal asked him.

After a moment of panting and taking deep breaths he finally stood up straight and looked at all of them.

“We are under attack ma’am. The general just wants you to know, but we already handled it and he said that there’s no

need for you to worry.”

“Goo-” she was cut off when a loud booming roar was heard around the arena. She immediately looked at the huge window of the stadium and saw a dragon lurking above them.

“What were you saying again?” Nicho asked in worry for the students. He’s pretty sure they’ll panic.

“Oh shit-. Uh…” the guard stuttered as he feared that he’ll be fired. He just gave them the wrong news! But you can’t blame him right? He was just following orders.

“Call your general and tell him to bring some of his men here. We have to kill that dragon. Excuse me for a second ma’am I’ll just lead th-”

“No need, Nicho.” Nicho froze as he heard what the principal told him. He just stared at her frowning in confusion. They have to act fast to avoid the students panicking, more chaos will happen if ever. “Let Wither and Zach take care of the intruder.”

All of them were absolutely shocked by that. Some teachers were staring at her with wide eyes. She’s basically letting a student fight an enemy.

“B-but ma’am, they’re students-” one of the teachers stuttered

“Yes they are. The strongest students if I may add. Besides, it’s my son, I gave him the permission to kill that dragon right this moment. Are you doing the same Nicho? You’re Wither’s guardian after all.” Nicho continued staring at her.

Contemplating what to do. He knows he could trust Wither to stay on the line and hide her own secret but…. He doesn’t want her hurt. He closed his eyes a bit and took a deep breath.

“Okay then. I’ll let her take care of the dragon.” Mrs. Deinsford smiled at that, turning to look at his son and the girl in the arena.

The guard left and went to his general telling him what happened.

“That isn’t an academy dragon right?” I asked, still looking above us.

“Yes. We must’ve been under attack outside but I’m sure the school already handled it well. This dragon just escaped

them.”

“They didn’t handle it well if this dragon escaped them, Mr. President.” He glared at me when he heard what I said as I just shrugged at him. “They’re not doing anything so it’s obvious that we’ll have to kill the dragon. I’m not in the mood to fight now. What should I do?”

He just stared at me for a few seconds then looked at the dragon, looking like he finally figured something out.

“How about we upgrade the bet?” My eyebrows raised at that. Full attention on him as I let him continue. “Instead of letting the loser follow whatever the winner says for one week, let's make it a month. The winner will be determined by whoever among us killed this dragon.” I gave him an impressed face.

Well that isn’t so bad.

“Well fine then. Be ready to follow me for a whole month.”

“You wish. I’ll-” He was cut off when the dragon breathed fire in the audience’s direction. I immediately ran near the audience and raised my hands, palms facing them as I concentrated. I put a force field around the whole audience, even in the high stadium to protect them.

Mr.President used his air ability to move every student that lost when we fought them earlier. The people that lost and are now outside of the stage, moving them in a corner.

The dragon took notice of us and breathed fire again, this time on the president’s direction.

Oh hell no!

I immediately attacked the dragon and hit him in his body, making the fire he breathed move a little to the side so the president was able to avoid it.

I furrowed my eyebrows in irritation and looked around me. The students that we haven’t fought yet are still on the stage, just watching us like they’re watching television.

“Such a waste of space.”

I clicked my tongue and went to each of them, dragging them to the corner that Zach put the other students in. While he fights with the dragon to divert it’s attention from us.

Everything was going fine, the students didn’t think of the fight and wanted to save themselves first so they followed me, even the president’s friends. Except one student, that student being too prideful to save herself and wants to fight with me first.

Venice… This little-

“No! I’ll lose if I go to them! Fight me first you bitch!” She kept on screeching and moving away from me and I had enough of her bullshit.

I pulled her from her hair so hard she fell on the floor. I didn’t stop and dragged her all the way to the corner. I released her when we got there and I pulled her up by her collar till we’re face to face.

“Don’t fucking start with me now Venice or I’ll make you that damn dragon’s meal right here, right now.” I growled at her, making her stop and stare at me with wide eyes. I glared at her one more time then pushed her to her minions. I turned to the other students, some of them on the ground and in pain but I didn’t think of it that much, they fought with us, of course they’ll be in pain. “Good. Now stay here till we say so. Go out there and I’ll let you die for all I care.”

Right when I said that, I immediately turned and jumped as I kicked the dragon’s tail as it was about to hit the bunch of people behind me. This took the dragon’s attention and landed on the ground as he kept hitting his tail on the force field that I made around us. I looked at Zach’s friends beside me and scoffed.

“Damn, be helpful, at least don’t just watch me. Make something close to my force field so that you could be safe.” I stepped forward as I said that, making the force field bigger so that they could do their own first while I cover for them.

When they finally did their own shield or whatever you call it. I finally let down the force field and jumped to attack the dragon with numerous fire balls making him back up.

Oh boy… Now that those nuisance are gone. Let me play...
