“Why do you feel the need of impressing us? You are my daughter. You don’t need to impress me!” Dad was getting mad, but I still continued.
“I realised it dad. But when Victor questioned my capabilities of independence, I lost it. That’s when I decided to move out. I was happy here, with my job and life. I like Damon. More like a life partner, than an immature crush. I can rely on him. I can trust him with my life.”
I looked up at Damon and continued, “but when Victor realised, that I was long gone from his hand and he can’t have me back. He started doing things, which I hated. That scene he created was like the last nail in the coffin. He wanted to meet me and I wanted to end things on a mutual note. So, that both of us can move on.”
“He didn’t take it well.” Samantha chimed in.
