Friends And Dream

"Don't mind Theodore, your highness-" he stopped for whatever reason, but what did he mean by that. "I mean miss?

"Bella, I'm Bella Cowell". I replied for no particular reason. He introduced himself as Mike Colton and his other two other friends Lia Wyatt and Sarah Smith and of course Theo Carter after explaining his name wasn't Theodore like his friends called him.

I wanted to ignore them and their presence but there was something about them that I couldn't put my finger on. Something powerful was lingering around them. Was it danger or something else I had no idea.

      Later that week I learnt that they all transferred to my school at once. I found it weird. It was strange how they came into my life when I had no one. No family or friends, as if the universe is trying to hurt me and heal at the same time.

           I disregarded their presence at all times but something or the other happened and I found myself with them. I tried to betray my fate but I wasn't meant to do so.

In a month we became closer and I was back to almost normal. I laughed and had fun with them. They were all fun. We always hung out at my place whenever I tried to go to their house they'd make excuses.

I never met their family members and I couldn't convince myself that they were all orphans and had no one not even a guardian. According to their introduction and school information, Sarah's parents are both doctors and are rarely at home. Lia's father is a mechanical engineer and her mother is no more. Theodore lives with his aunt and Mike's parents are alive but in another city and his lil sister is no more so he lives alone.

We became inseparable and I felt a force  whenever we were together. As if we were destined to be together or so.

     Uɴᴄʟᴇ Mɪᴄʜᴀᴇʟ'Pᴏᴠ

"Chief she's only nineteen, she's so young. I don't think she's ready for that life and besides I think its high time we change this culture of-" I paused when I heard shuffling at the door. I turned around to see Bella.

" Uncle Michael?  You finally decided to show up after 6 months of disappearing, huh?" She asked sarcasm coated in her tone. Her eyes held anger for which I knew the reason.

How she looked just like her mother. Her choice of words, her hair, her pearly green eyes, her fierce look, everything. She was the copyright of her mother.

I wish I could hug her and comfort her for whatever she went through. Instead of staying by her side I decided to leave. She wasn't at fault but I punished her. I was scared and I don't know what I went  searching for. I came back with nothing but disappointment.

" Bella I'm busy right now, can you leave me alone. We can talk later." I said trying to dismiss her. I didn't have any answer to her questions. I didn't have the courage to face her.

"I don't want to talk to a coward like you either. I'm sorry to say this but you have lost my respect for you." she said and banged the door before leaving.

I can't bear to see her anger and hatred for me. She's the only family I have. I don't know what to do. I promised her mother I'll take care of her but I don't think I will be able to fulfill that promise.

I went looking for peace maybe whatever it was but I lost myself and I lost my only family, my Bella.

Bᴇʟʟᴀ's ᴘᴏᴠ

I can't believe he came back now. What was he thinking? That I'd forgive him. He was wrong for thinking like so. He left me when I needed him the most. I wished I had another family member at that time. If he wasn't my father's brother I'd have left long ago.

I drifted to sleep after having a battle with my thoughts. Whether to forgive him or not.

What is this place? Who are these people? Who are they bowing to? "Mom? Mom... What is this place? Who are these people and why are they bowing to you?" I asked her confused and terrified as well. "Bella dear look closely they're not bowing to me but to their rightful leader."She said caressing my hair and then my cheek.

    " Mom but why are they bowing to me? What's going on and where's dad?" She smiled faintly and started fading away." Mom no, no no, not again, not this time. I need you mom."I cried to her. "Dear its time you go to your people. They need you more than you need me. They need their new leader. Mike knows. He knows. Mom...

I woke up sweating profusely. My hands cold. I looked around but no one was around. I was alone in my room. What was that dream about? New leader? My people? Mike...Mike? What does he know? How does mom know him?

I walked to my window looking at the sky. The moon shone brightly tonight for some reason. Was it because of no stars in the sky or something else? I have known Mike for half a year now. How does mom know when they never met? Is she talking about the Mike I know or someone else?

I felt cold suddenly and shivers went down my spine. A cool breez made the curtains blowing crazily. Someone or something was watching me my every move. I felt frightend but acted normal. Who's shadow is that? I looked around and saw no one. I felt something around the house,around me.

I felt like going outside to check but dismissed that thought for which fool would do that.

I shut the window after what felt like an eternity and went back to sleep.
