The Dark and Blue Sun

"No, it's nothing. It was just unusual for me to see two Suns." Ren shook his head, not wanting to let Freya know that he really did expect for only one sun in this event.

Up above, two big Suns existed. One dark and one blue.

In the source material or the novel, there was only one Sun and that is the Blue Sun. Meaning, this Dark Sun is new to him, and in grievous case, an irregularity.

'The second time I encountered an anomaly.' Ren thought, the first encounter being Natasha. Rena has no such sister in the original.

"There is an altar below each Sun, which one should we be going?" Freya asked.

"The Blue one." Ren answered directly. He didn't know anything about the Dark Sun, and he doesn't have time to think about any irregularity.

Aphrodite, one of the Ancient War Series, is the reward when clearing the Blue Sun. He couldn't think of any reward that would prove to be more valuable than her.

Choosing the Blue Sun over the Dark Sun would be a good choice. And for Ren, unless he is sure of it, he won't do any reckless decisions.

"Good." Freya nodded and brought them toward its direction.

However, as they were getting close... something unfortunate happened.

Getting closer to the Blue Sun also means getting closer to the Dark Sun.

What they didn't know was that, an extreme suction force was suddenly exerted from the Dark Sun.

"What the hell! This is not a sun anymore! If you ignore the heat it can be considered a black hole." Ren commented in shock. He could feel that without Freya, he will literally be sucked with no resistance.

Freya frowned. The sucking force was too great.

Her expression turned serious as her momentum changed.

The opposites force seems to sense her change, and it actually became more fiercer in response.

"Humph." Freya snorted. With one huge leap, ignoring all the resistance. She brought Ren closer to the Blue Sun.

Her strength was just so great that even the suction force was ignored. Her identity and title didn't disappoint, extremely proportional to her capability.

'Damn. A cheat is of course, a cheat.' Ren commented inwardly.

They were about to arrive at the Blue Sun's altar. Freya stopped.

"Who?!" Her voice echoed through the barren lands. The voice was so majestic that could make the lowly ones force to kneel.

"What happened?" Ren asked in confusion.

"It's nothing. I think it's better if we go to that Dark Sun after all." Freya smiled in response, turned back, and willingly went to the other altar with him.

"What? Why? We don't know what awaits us inside there. It's too risky." Ren reasoned.

"Just hear me out this time, okay? I'm there from you, anyway." Freya assured him with a smile.

"...Sigh. So unreasonable." Ren mumbled and gave up. Actually, since she said to hear her out, something inside him was forced to compel.

He respected her decision.

...

Natasha Bluerose (POV)

They really went inside that terrifying thing? So this is why they disappeared and there is no story about them. Well, I didn't make any story about it.

Still, that woman, though. She really is extremely strong. I almost turned back, and wanted to run just by hearing her voice.

She can even be compared to the War Maidens.

Now, what should I do? The Blue Sun should be the right choice, right?

Honestly, I'm pretty lucky that I have Ice and Water as an element, otherwise I couldn't make this barrier to counter the heat.

Currently, a transparent sky-blue barrier was covering me. It was a magic I made by combining ice and water.

And most of all... yet again, something like this that was out of my story happened again. A dark sun, when did I ever made one?

First of all, this event is referenced from Amaterasu the goddess of sun in Japan. I made the sun blue, since blue flames are known to be the hottest.

Although the sun in earth if I remember correctly is white, and looks yellow below because of the atmosphere or something around those lines. But since blue stars are hotter than the sun, and Amaterasu is a beautiful and hot goddess. I made the sun blue, it was just my simple way of thinking.

Then, why did it complicate to this? A dark sun appeared. Sigh. I'm going to the blue sun, anyway.

I still have to complete the trial.

As I decided so I quickly fastened my pace and went inside the Blue Sun's altar. After getting inside, I should be teleported to another space to prepare for the trial.

...

A story of the past:

Whenever Ren had a free time, he really liked watching anime, and reading mangas or novels. This was his way of forgetting the massive work he has to do.

"Ahh, I'm going to pass out at this rate." It was almost 48 hours that Ren didn't sleep. His mind and consciousness was already floating, it won't be long before he starts hallucinating.

"Just a few more. I need to hang on." Ren said to himself, reading the last few sentences that he's going to translate.

(AN: It seems that you can't write anything but English anymore on webnovel, unless you don't want to be voted.)

[Original Raw]

/Flames that which illuminates heaven.

"Hmm. This event was related to Amaterasu, right?"

That which illuminates heaven, is the meaning of the name, Amaterasu.

At that time, Ren was not on his right mind due to how tired he was.

Thinking of Amaterasu, as a fan and updated to the anime world. His mind immediately thought of a beautiful goddess and black flames.

Hence, he translated as such:

[Original Raw]

/Black flames that which illuminates heaven.

Even though, the translation was simple, really. The correct translation should be 'Amaterasu's Flame'.

Flames that which illuminates heaven. Since Amaterasu means 'that which illuminates heaven' It could also be translated as Flames of Amaterasu or Amaterasu's flames.

Still, Ren didn't have the capability to translate correctly with his current state of mind.

One should know by now that this Translator has no sense of responsibility when he is very tired. Which is why, after he was done, he quickly posted the new chapter, before sleeping.

What he didn't know was that although the difference was small. Flames, and black flames. It's all flames in the end.

A certain independent world somehow adapted and continued developing on its own. And as a result: black flames, turned or developed into a dark sun.
