Ch 2 : Cashback System

Raihan woke up in a minute.

He surprised by the system and his mouth is left open. By the time he realized it a full minute already passed. In front of him is his usual identity with something extra. That is Cashback system 25%.

'What system? I thought it only existed in novel'

Raihan pinched his cheek, it hurts. It's not a dream!

"Hey, system!"

"Yes."

"What does Cashback system 25% mean?"

"Every money you spent from this day onward, you will get 25% back."

"So, if I spent 50K, I will get 12.5 back to my pocket?"

"Yes."

Raihan got excited, he knew really well those novels where the protagonist got system and become big player in their world. So that's mean he can be like them too?

"Where are you from system?"

"I am a product that god created, God made countless system in this world from the first human that lived in this world until now. You are chosen as a host number 99."

"Huh, you mean there is actually more than one system exist?"

"No, there is only one system that can exist and there's also a requirement that needed to be fulfilled before the system can be drop to this world."

So that means, he was the only user at this time. He really can't believe that he was chosen as the host.

"Why did God choose me as the host?"

"I don't know, Only God knows"

"What is your objective?"

"My purpose is to support you, nothing less nothing more."

So to summarized it, this system is created by god. He chose me as the host for some extraordinary reason, only one system can exist at one time, every time system wants to appear, a certain requirement needed to be done, Their purpose is still a mystery.

"So..., I only need to spend money right?"

"Yes, keep spending money to increase the EXP, you'll get more money when the system level up."

Wow, Raihan have no words to describe his emotion right now. Everything seems unreal to him. He only opened a book, YES! book.

He looked it everywhere but didn't find it.

"System, did you came from a book?"

"That book is system medium, the book itself won't be returned, it changes form become a system. That book also one of the requirement."

'That book is recommended by the old man, does it mean the old man is... God? There's no way, right?'

Raihan thought is interrupted by his phone. Bagas reminded him to quickly get online. He almost forgot it.

'Okay let's forget this system for a while, it won't do any good to do thing rashly. If when tomorrow comes, the system is still around. Then I will try to test the water."

He turned on his PC, log in to his steam and start playing DotA with his friends and play some ranked games.

After four games with two losses and two wins, they decided to call it a day.

Raihan took a shower and grab some food to fill his belly. After that, he took a book to read before finally sleep.

The next day.

The very first thing that he did, of course, to call the system.

"System, are you there?"

"Yes."

"So it's really not a dream."

Now that he knew it's real, it's time to test it.

"System, is there any mission for me?"

"No, there is no mission at all. Mission will just restrain the host freedom. You can do anything, but every action you take will have an impact to this world. Whether it's good or bad."

Raihan love freedom, he often felt complicated when the system assigns a mission for the host. It feels like the host is actually a slave for the system. So, he loves it that this system doesn't have it.

"Han, wake up."

"I am already up Mom."

"Well, it's not raining, not snowing, and the sun is still rising from the east, W-"

"I sleep early, maybe that's why."

"Good, if you can do it every day. Mom will be really grateful." Said Nur while gave a look full of expectation at Raihan. "Breakfast is ready, come get it after shower." After Nur said that, she went to the kitchen, leaving Raihan alone in his room.

Raihan took a shower after that took his bag before went to eat breakfast. He finished it quickly so he has time to try his system ability.

On the way to university, he found takoyaki stall and decided to bought it while tried to test his cashback system.

"Sir, one takoyaki medium pack."

The stall owner took a pre-made takoyaki, reheat it and pack it.

"Here, it will be 25K"

I gave him 50K IDR and got change 25K. After the transaction is done, he heard a ringing sound and a notification inside his head.

"Cashback system active 25% money that you spent is transferred into your account."

Raihan checked his bank account and there's exactly 6.250 IDR plus on his account.

He can't hold up his excitement, all the way to university he had a smile on his face while cycling his bike.

The lecture is the same as usual, just the lecturer gave a boring presentation while the student do their own thing. Raihan took notes at first but quickly gave up because his friend told him that the lecturer always gave his PPT afterwards, he knew it because his brother also attends this university.

Today Raihan only have two classes, first at 9 AM and the second one after lunch. He and his classmates went to the cafeteria after class over.

Bandung University has a spacious cafeteria. His friend Doni told him the most recommended menu in this cafeteria is omelette chicken katsu. It's a fried rice cover with half-cooked egg with chicken katsu and special sauce. Some people said the chef is graduated from a famous overseas culinary university but because he offended a big snake in that country, he can't continue to work there.

Raihan and his friend need to wait 15 minutes before they got their meal. But the wait is worth it. No wonder everyone loves it. The second best thing about it was the system notification that told him he got 6.250 as a cashback.

"System levelled up, Cashback system upgrade to 50%"

Raihan almost choked by his omelette, he didn't expect it at all. 'Wha-, system I just spend 50K and you just leveled up just like that?'

"Yes, from level 1 to level 2 you only need to spend 50K, but to get to level 3 you need to spend 500K."

Every time he buys something, half the money will come back to him. What a great system! From this day onward he doesn't need to worry about money at all.
