Those words revealing about Airi sounded scary and cold to her, giving her a shiver running down her spine. Yet, she chose to not show that fear on her face, and tried as best as she could to keep her face straight.
Seeing Airi staring at him dumbstruck, the man continues his report, "not only that, the subject has a hand on writing, as she published a lot of 'boys love' fanfictions anonymously online, and she has also got quite a masochistic… mmph"
Airi pressed her hands against the man's mouth with a red face filled with embarrassment.
"Shut it! Who told ya' to dig up that deep? Why wouldya' need that kind of intel to kidnap me, you punk?"
She soon drew back her hand as she felt the skin of the man freezing cold. She looked at him with a confused look on her face.
He gave a knowing look to her, as if he totally expected such expression from her. "Yeah, surely, I don't need that kind of data on you, but those are just… not easy to ignore right?" He chuckled. "That little brain of yours sure works in a strange route. Well then, the action of yours just now confirms that this is you. So, I have arrived at the correct address."
Eh? Correct address?

"So then, back to your previous question, do you still express any doubt on the fact that I am something not likely to be a human, or as you said, a God?" He stood up, resting his gloved hands in his pant pockets.
Following his posture was a long awkward silence. She looked at him with a blank stare for a few minutes, and soon she burst out laughing.
"Omo, matte, bahahahaha, is this an otome game now? Dating a mythical demi-god like creature, sounds fun no? Kekeke. Nice joke you played on me, dude! You, God! Oh my, what did I do that good to deserve this blessing, ahahahaha."
The calm and composed look on his face crumbled a bit, and one could see a vein popping in his forehead if they tried a bit. "You don't believe me?"
Airi found it hard to control her laughing fit. Her words became hard to make as she spoke while she was laughing so hard. "Wha.. what… haha… should I then? Heh, you are totally givin' the vibe of a creepy stalker, or wait, let's not delude myself, as if I am gonna get myself a stalker lol. You feel like a weird detective at best, who snoops around people and digs up their fetishes, cheh! Dude, get some standard, will ya'? And here I was dead AF scared of you for a while. You look too decent to do something like…"
She stopped in her tracks when suddenly snippets of her memories as a 10-year-old started playing on the wall in front of her, like a projection. It was like a trailer of her life as the scene got rapidly changed to something else.
Her starting middle school…
Her first getting introduced to games...
Her getting scholarships...
Her being praised by her parents.
And also…
Her playing with the neighbor kid whom she always has…and her crying when she finds about the news she never wanted to get.
"STOP THAT SH*T RIGHT NOW!" she huffed and puffed as she felt out of breath. A very unpleasant memory ticked her, causing her suffocation.
"Am I convincing enough?"
She looked up at the towering figure in front of her, looking so bright that it was blinding. "You… are God? Really? Like... really?"
"Well, sort of."
"What…does a God hafta...do with me?"
"Do you have any recollection of what happened to you before you found yourself in this room?" He asked her back, not replying to the question she asked just now.
She pondered a while before replying, "I was watching an anime, where Ishigami-kun said that he…."
"Oh shut up, will you!!! Do you have anything else on you except anime, you geek?!"
She stopped whatever she was saying, and became all pouty. "God losin' his calm, How uncool!!!"
"You are the very reason; don't you think so? You pathetic little!" he roared like an angry injured tiger.
"Uwaahhh, now God's bullyin' me. Imma complain to your boss ya' know that?"
"Can we just come to the main point?"
"Sure, sure, Kami-Sama."
The man exhaled a long breath in an attempt to calm himself down. After he made sure he was cool enough to talk further, he made himself comfortable on a chair and started where he left off, "So clearly, you don't have any recollection of what happened to you two weeks ago."
"If that's not the answer you are hopin' for, then no, I don't," Airi replied in a monotone, not meeting the eyes of the weird person in front of her.
"That doesn't seem strange to me now, for someone who was all in shouts a while ago, then in clear fear of an unknown situation, and the very next second she was pouting. Your mind is a mess! Utter mess!"
"I am not all relaxed ya' know? Look at this, my hands are still shaky, and I am still trying to process what sorcery are ya' tryin' to pull," she shouted like a bullied kid despite having totally shaky hands.
"Sigh, I already hate my subject."
"You what now!"
He cut her off signaling with his palm and with a lower and a bit careful tone he continued, "You had an accident on the 25th of December."
Accident?
Did he just say accident?
What accident?
She doesn't remember anything like that. All she remembers was staying at home after the semester ended, as it was winter vacation going on.
Winter vacation... wait! Something doesn't feel right.
She ran towards the window to look outside through it, and just as she doubted, there was no sign of a single shred of snow.
"But there was clearly a huge pile of snow there just some days ago, where did all those go in this mid-winter?" She looked outside through the window, and rubbed her eyes continuously, in case she was still in a delusion or some sort of it.
"It's not winter now, just so you know," he chuckled while having a pity in his tone.
By now, she couldn't anymore ignore her inner turmoil mockingly. As the blood drained from her face, she found it hard to put her thoughts in words. "Y... you mentioned an accident just now, and you are a G… God... why a God here... I... Did I die…"
He clicked his tongue, with a hint of a pity in his voice. "Tsk tsk, looks like you're in quite a confusion. Shall I help then?"
Then just like before, he put his right hand over her head, and a soft purple light surrounded them. And with that, waves of memories came to her flooded like a Tsunami, overwhelming her entirely.
