an alliance and a truth

Joaquin Fernandez, who is the leader of Bravo-Holly Mommy-One made an alliance deal with Federico Covarrubias, AKA "Master of Lies." who is the leader of Unit-Zero. both teams are formed by good players and NPCs.

Joaquin explains to them that the other NPCs can't help much once chapter One ends. the only help they can bring is verbal. with their knowledge about the game and multiple chapters, but unlike them. Joaquin can help them as much as possible, because he wasn't an original NPC.

they all received an announcement letting them know the rules of the game had been changed. after chapter 3 every player who is still alive in the real world would be disqualified or in another words.

after chapter 3 there would only be teams with players that got stuck in the game. those whom are alive in the real world would be send on a different path to avoid any type of complication.

another announcement let them all know that there are only three ways out of the game; the first one: they get killed/eliminated while playing the game. the second one: they finish the game with absolute success and they are rewarded by the Gods. the third: they find a Secret Chamber unlocking a secret game allowing them to win an unique reward at a high price in which they might lose their own life or win their freedom.

Beau has many questions. but there is one important question that he has been trying to ask. if they are not allow to talk with the players that are not dead or stuck in the game like him. then why he has been able to talk with Hunter, who is still alive in the real world? he didn't wanted to asked that question afraid of the possible answer.

"there are two possibilities. the first one is that there was a mistake on the game or probably someone on purpose allow that to happen. the second possibility is that he might die soon and that his death is either going to be accidental or brutal."

said Federico looking at Beau's eyes.

"sorry. but what are you talking about?"

said Beau feeling confuse.

"to be honest. there was this man. who offered me the possibility to saved one person, when there were two in danger. but he warned me if I saved that boy, then he would erased that boy's name from his list. and he would include mine in his place."

said Hero Teacher with sincerity and at peace.

"so you are telling me that I died like a roasted chicken. because my own friend was talkative with a creep. and he decide to saved the life of a kid, instead of mine? just because I know who the kid is, and I know he is a nice kid. I would forgive you."

said Beau upset.

"sorry. I didn't meant to let you die like a roasted chicken. that is precisely why I am in here helping you. because I want to help you. you are more than a friend. and more like a brother to me."

said Hero Teacher with honesty.

"I need to warn you all. I had play a game like this before and I had to tell you, the Chapter One Boss is dangerous. some of us might not make it out alive, if we dare to fight it face to face. the best thing is to avoid the Boss and to hide. at least until some lucky bastard kills it. or the time runs out or otherwise we all are dead."

said Joaquin worried for everyone.

"had you play this game before? I mean the first version of this game. someone told me that it takes place in South America, or something like that."

asked Beau curious to know.

"this is the first version. I died in another game from the Greek Mythology. but I know a lot about this game because I am an NPC. I know that the sequel to this game would be the prequel. and is going to take place on the past or something like that."

said Joaquin with honesty.

two more players whom were part of the Unit-Zero finally showed their faces. "Peace Inc" and "Don-Savage." siblings in the real world and allies in the video games.

Peace Inc, is wearing a white cloak that covers most of her body, a white hood that covers part of her face, she has long silver hair, her eyes are green Jade, her skin is pale, her lips are pink.

Don-Savage, is wearing military uniform, he is muscular, he has brown short hair, he has a long brown beard and a mustache, his eyes are green Jade. he has a scar that goes from his forehead and ends on under his left eye. also he has a tan on his arms, legs and face.

the next Quest was to find the "refuge." before the awakening of the Boss Level Monster. they had forty-two hours to find the refuge.

if they failed to find the refuge then they had no other choice, but to fight the Boss Level Monster. or to survived until it is killed by a player. they were all trembling in fear by thinking just how strong is the Boss of each chapter.

"we must be divided in groups of two. Chicken Wrath and Alpha Purple Warrior, you two would go search for the refuge on the south side of the city. Master of Lies and Doctor Middle Finger, you two are going to search on the North side of the city. Lord Golden Ass you would go with Self-Bet to the west side of the city...."

said Joaquin.

"nice, destiny is on my side."

speaks loudly Beau with emotion.

"..... like I was saying. Hero Teacher and I, we would search on the East. Peace Inc and Marisol would search for weapons together. and finally Don-Savage and Erika, you two would search for survival supplies including food, medicine and clothing. let's do this and win this game."

said Joaquin who was as afraid as anyone else.

"what are you all waiting for? move your asses, and do as you all were told."

yields Alpha Purple Warrior furiously.

they all said goodbye to each other. then they split and they follow Joaquin's instructions. unlike any normal human being, who would be scared to death with everything that is happening.

Beau was exited because he had to spend time alone with self-Bet, his crush. Beau blushes by just thinking that he is going to spend forty and something hours alone with her. he felt like the Universe was showing a bit of mercy on him.

"hello, we haven't talk much lately."

said Beau nervously and feeling shy.

"yeah, I know. this games are something else, aren't they? I was questioning my sanity at first. but after almost dying and surviving this long, I supposed we are indeed stuck in the universe created by the games."

said Self-Bet feeling upset about their situation.

"you don't have to worry. I am here to protect you from any danger. I may not be one, but for you I can try to become your personal knight in shining armor at the rescue..... I don't.... I don't meant it in that way. what I mean, is that I can do anything to protect my friends and those who are important to me. and you are a really important friend to me. I want you to know that you can always count on me, for anything."

said Beau feeling shy and unable to speak properly.

"thanks, you are so nice. you can be cute sometimes too."

said Self-Bet with a soft smile.

"Beau Nguyen.... Beau Nguyen is my real name. I am one hundred percent Australian. and I had been living in the USA since college. I used to clean floors on a school for living, I am at the time twenty nine."

said Beau unaware of how to start a conversation.

"I can't picture a guy with a cute name like Beau, with an username like Lord Golden Ass. I could swear your name was going to be something like, John or Jake. I even though that you were a twelve years old kid or something like that, but is good to know that I spend my days playing with another adult."

said Self-Bet laughing.

"I live in North Carolina, Charlotte. my blood is A-, my zodiac sign is Cancer. I am really awkward when talking with other people, specially someone pretty like you."

said Beau aware of how pathetic he might sound.

"you are a funny guy. well I don't see any harm in letting you know my real name. Leah Tremblay is my name. is a pleasure to meet you Beau, I hope we can be forever the best of friends."

said Self-Bet with a sweet smile.

"you have a cute name and an erotic... I mean romantic, yeah a romantic voice. I also hope that we can be friends forever and finish this game together."

said Beau almost crying of happiness.

on the East; Joaquin and Hero Teacher are fighting against many zombies that are surrounding them. the problem is that they don't have all the time of the world. killing all those zombies would take at least two hours.

if more zombies come then it would be harder to search for the refuge. Joaquin is thinking in a solution while he helps Hero Teacher. their situation is really bad because any stronger monster might appear. then they might even be in danger.

on the South; Alpha Purple Warrior and Chicken Wrath are walking on desolate streets, not even a single Zombie to slaughter. the streets are too peaceful that they are afraid that there might be a trap or an ambush, if they keep walking any further.

but what other choice do they have. when everyone is at the moment risking their lives for survival. so even if it is an ambush they had to walk on that street, until they can find the refuge. or the refuge is found by someone else from their team.

on the North; Doctor Middle Finger and Federico Covarrubias are walking on a street full of dead bodies with a few slow zombies. both of them are talking a little bit about their lives. Federico laughs. Doctor Middle Finger tells him a few jokes.

they didn't notice that they are being watch by another team on the game. a team of guys like them that got stuck while playing. Doctor Middle Finger seems to be really worry for his siblings. he tells to Federico about his siblings and about how worry he is for them.

on the center of the city; Marisol and Peace Inc are entering in a black market to buy the weapons, that they would need to fight the Boss from chapter one, if they don't find the refuge.

Peace Inc asks questions about the Boss Monster. but Marisol is unable to describe it when this is also her first time in this game. because this is a new game no one knows much. the NPCs only knew what they were told about the story of the game.

Erika and Don-Savage are on a market taking everything that they need. he is trying to flirt with her. Erika just ignores him. he tells her a bit about his life and dreams. he also tells her that he lost someone precious to him. he tells her that gaming is another way for him to forget about that person so important that he lost.

he tells her that he wishes to forget those that he lost and then he complains about how hard is to forget and how easy is to remember the things that makes you feel pain.

on the West; Beau and Self-Bet are walking. Beau is still talking. Self-Bet is listening to him, she also notice that there is something wrong. she asks him to not move. they stop moving. Beau stops talking. there is a strange noise before a group of Zombie animals appeared in front of them.
