The First Duel

Federico is on a garden.

he is smoking. he looks up at the sky. his hands are full of small scars. he thinks about his lover. two other people decided to accompany him.

Cake Eater & Sec-End Cigar (before known as 2nd-Hand Cigar.) the two men seem to be tired & serious. Cake Eater sits next to him. he looks down at the floor. he talks about his past troubles. he puts his right hand on his chin, on a thinking position.

"we joined your group to take vengeance on the man who killed our friends. at this point we don't care anymore. don't get me wrong I want to see the fucker dying. I want to, but I don't feel like losing my mind nor soul are worth it."

said Cake Eater with a deep voice.

"I don't blame you. when your health is on risk, or your mental state is disputed. it is better to leave than to fight."

said Federico on a cold tone of voice.

Cake Eater whispers. he talks about his wishes for his enemy's death. on the next duel of guilds he will take his vengeance. if he fails he will give up, if he wins he will leave with a triumphant smile. this will be his last time facing Oblivious Soul-Rage.

Federico keeps smoking. he is mostly ignoring the other two. his lips are dry. his eyes aren't focus. he listens to the wind. he feels the air touching his face. Federico stays there for half an hour. he then stands up and leaves.

Cake Eater seems lifeless. Sec-End Cigar is worry for his friend. Cake Eater is mostly a ghost walking with no route. Sec-End Cigar knows about his friend's pain. the two are really good friends. jet they feel to be meters away.

on the other side of the garden are Dog-Boy & Cat-Girl. Dog-Boy fears for the worst. Dog-Boy knows the Executioner is a dangerous person. he may know about his actions. his life is on the line. his actions call for a risk.

Dog-Boy felt resentment towards Katherine. he felt resentment towards all woman. he felt deeply wounded by her treason. he felt so much hatred. with time he forgot how to love again. he forgot how to feel anything. he hurt many hearts. he hurt other woman.

when he first found Cat-Girl on the game. he didn't expected much. if she was really a woman and not a guy, maybe he will play with her emotions. but once their souls were trapped inside of the game. he found out, she was the woman who broke him.

he wanted to take his revenge. he wanted to hurt her. sadly he is too stupid, too stupid to not fall in love once more. he found himself unable to forget the good times, nor able to remember the pain he once felt. a man can fight or deny his emotions. but a man can't erase those emotions so easily. it is hard to fall out of love.

Dog-Boy wants to stay with her. he wants to have her at his side. he can't find the right moment to tell her. to reveal his own name. she is everything to him. he can't live without her. he needs of her love.

Dog-Boy hates himself. he is too greedy to let go of her hand. he is too proud to admit that he loves her, fully aware of who she is. he is too proud to let go of the past. tears fall on the ground. he smiles like an idiot. maybe there is time, more time.

Cat-Girl leaves the garden. she is ready to ask Doug for forgiveness. she is ready to confront her lover. she knows she fuck it up on the past. she knows the damage she did to the trust he had on her. she knows that she wasn't good to him.

she starts to remember all the times she made him cry on the past. all the times she hurt him. all the times she saw him crying. all the times she saw him broken. she wasn't able to appreciate his genuine feelings on the past. now is different. she is mature.

Katherine didn't just cheat on him. before their relationship ended. there were times on which she was aggressive or disrespectful towards him. one time on a cinema, she stand up and started to scream out of nowhere. she throw the popcorn to him. she trow the soda on his face. she scratched him. she spit on him. she started to kick him.

Doug was crying. he was avoiding to make eye contact with her. he was still watching the movie. the reason she was angry was because she didn't wanted to see that movie. she wanted to go shopping with her friends.

those last two months she took her anger on him. the anger she had for many things. it really didn't matter why she was angry. she just needed to be angry to attack him. on the streets she used names and attacked him many times. even the police asked him if he wanted to put charges for assault. he always stayed quiet. he never did anything.

it is now that Cat-Girl looks at her lover. it is now that she is capable of witnessing the damage she inflicted. she did wrong to the man she used to love, and she loves now. it is hard to accept it. she loves him and she isn't ready to let go of his hand.

on another side of the base:

Beau and Leah are walking holding hands. he feels accomplish by walking on her side. Leah asks once more if he is sure, if he really wants to take part on the guild battle. Beau nods with a small smile.

Beau feels how his heart trembles. he has the paradise on his hands. the glory is few steps away from him. the world is of a pink color. everything is beauty and perfection, everything is magnificent, because Leah is at his side.

"my biggest nightmare is the idea of losing you. I can't see myself without you. I will walk anywhere you walk in. I want to own your trust, heart, and soul. and let your body be the price to a loyal dog in love."

said Beau with a stupid smile.

"don't you think I had payed enough for your love, don't be too greedy. they say that if you eat chicken every day, you will get tired of the chicken. the same goes for every dish. and I don't want you to get tired of me, that is why I recommend you to take a break from eating chicken once in a while."

said Leah with a sexy smile.

"wait. wait a damn minute. your body is a delicacy of which I can't, and I won't ever get tired of. I want to feel you, I want to touch you, I want to love you till the end of times."

said Beau with a stupid almost creepy smile.

two idiots blush as they let their naughty minds to run wild. Beau whispers on her ear. he asks her if they will repeat what they did last night. Leah blushes so much she looks like a tomato. she can't deny how much she loves that man.

Beau takes a rose from his pockets. he gives the rose to Leah. she takes it. Leah kisses Beau on the cheek.

Alpha Purple Warrior & Doctor Middle Finger walk on the opposite side. Doctor Middle stops them. he wants to know who are going to participate on the battle. Alpha Warrior wants to fight. Doctor Middle wants to be a better member of the guild.

"we want to take part on the battle."

"we want to prove our worth."

the two man said simultaneously. they are determined to participate.

Alpha Purple Warrior wants to be brave and strong. he wants to be what he wasn't alive. he has being trying to prove himself.

Doctor Middle Finger isn't too different from his friend. he wants to be brave, he wants to be of help to others. he doesn't want to keep letting others down.

"I understand how you guys feel. but it is Joaquin who chooses who goes, who stays. also both of you are important on our guild. so please try to be comprehensive that you two aren't the only ones. everyone wants to go. but only some can go."

said Beau on a calm tone of voice.

Doctor Middle & Alpha Warrior keep walking. they are talking about shows and movies. they have different taste in everything, jet they seem to get along pretty well.

Beau hugs Leah. she blushes. she whispers on his ear. she said something about using ropes and whips on him. Beau hides his face. Leah laughs. she knows what he likes.

Beau looks forward. he knows that something big will happen. he isn't sure if Leah or him will survive. what is worst, he isn't sure if any of them will survive. he can feel it, there will be blood.

The Emissary of the Fallen graveyard:

Bird-E, Ferryman, Rotto Mentalita, and Oblivious Soul-Rage are on the graveyard. all together. there are more men in there. the others are hiding their faces behind a hood.

"the next phase isn't the last one. even so, the next phase will eradicate most of the players, Offerings. many will either give up or die. now is when the game begins. be aware of the strength of the enemy."

said Ferryman on a cold tone of voice.

the men on the hoods, they all show their faces on the darkness. they all kneel in front of a certain tombstone. it is different; it has two sculptures with the shape of warriors, the sculptures with spears are guarding the tombstone.

Ferryman makes a a sign with his hand. all the men on cloaks leave. Rotto looks at the tombstone one last time. he throws a coin in front of the tomb. then he leaves.

Bird-E & Oblivious Soul-Rage are behind Ferryman. they await for his command. Ferryman advises them to not lose. their lives depend of the guild duels.

"I spoke to the Executioner. I will take part on that battle. I faked my death once. I betrayed them once. it is time for me to show them why I did what I did."

said Bird-E

Oblivious Soul-Rage is now feeling okay. he wishes to speak. he remembers that his tongue was cut off. he makes strange sounds. he saw the Executioner, he wants to tell them that he will assist the battle as a distraction.

Rotto had a mental breakdown. after the incident in which Oblivious loss his tongue. Rotto was tortured for some time. he was tortured to scare him. it was all to force him to be loyal to Bird-E. sadly Rotto knew too much.

after days of physical and psychological torture. he wasn't himself anymore. in that time he visited someone. he talked about things without even realizing what he did. those are times that are better left behind.

we can't blame Rotto for losing his sanity. he saw things he shouldn't had seen. now he knows that he is nothing less than a pawn. he is another piece to be sacrifice.

"mortal don't take my words personal. I don't trust you. I don't trust on mortals nor immortals. they all are dangerous. so I will give you the benefit of doubt."

said Ferryman with an annoyed face.

"I understand. I betrayed my own friends on the past. I know I am a treacherous rat. well I am self aware, but I will never betray those who can guide me to my goal."

said Bird-E with a small smile.

he walks away.

Ferryman is left alone. he looks at the tombstone. he has no lover nor friend. he is a Deity that spends his days wishing for mortal emotions, as he hides his loneliness.

"the world is cold, the mortals are a better version, and a worst version of their creators. now I wonder in a mad-land. in this world of insanity who is better. them who depend of us and jet deny our existence, or us the creators who only created mortals to satisfy their own ego. we all are hollow. we all are empty and broken."
