8.

The magic circle that formed in front of me was ready to release the when suddenly the magic circle cracked and turned into dust.

I then followed up by lightly tapping Adjest's chest with my staff, pushing her off the stage.

"What happened?!" Gilltian immediately rushed and supported Adjest who fell down.

Wilhelm also rushed into the stage by my side.

"Well... I analyzed it." I lied. But because Gilltian was so shocked of what just happened, he just took my words at face value.

"We'll take our leave, Uncle Gilltian. I still have a job to do as the Duke." I said and left the place with Wilhelm in tow.

"It was not reverse-analyze is it, Young Lord?" Wilhelm asked me but I kept silent.

"Reverse-analysis doesn't make a magic circle disappear. Its like you erased it." Wilhelm continued. I could only bitterly smile without looking at him. We then boarded the carriage and were on our way back to the manor.

The world I currently am in has different magic systems. Humans have one as well, and due to the hard-work of magicians who have researched magic, the Human magic system constantly evolved, from crude to the the latest and by far the most efficient magic system at the moment. The magic system that the humans currently have, relies on calculations.

But all of that doesn't apply to me. The mana inside my body doesn't follow the rules and I can't cast spells independently except for my unique magic, . My body is the same as Asta from Black Clover, the difference between us is, Asta have literally no mana in the body while my body is just filled with 'useless' mana.

I can't cast elemental magic with my mana, not even body enchantment magic which is a beginner spell.

So does that mean I can't cast any magic beside ? How was I able to use wind magic to create the 8 steps then?

Its pretty simple actually, I'm just using a different magic system. A unique magic system that are only available for their race, the Elves.

In my previous run, the only magic I could use 'properly' was . That was until I've met the elves on a shadow world. As beings loved by mana and nature, the Elven Magic system's only requirement was by freely using the mana in the air or nature as they call it.

Human's were able to harvest the mana in the air too, but they are slow and they were converting the mana as their own. After being converted as their own, the mana doesn't have the 'nature's touch' anymore, rendering the humans from using the Elven Magic system.

But there will always be an exception... like me. I am able to freely use the mana in the air, but I don't know how to properly cast magic with it. Before I learned the Elven Magic system, I learned that I could freely use the mana in the air by letting out a bit of my mana and mixing it with the mana in the air, and the result was, I got random magic spells. I even called it Gacha Magic because of the randomness of it. I even asked the Greatest Magician for his opinions and found out that even he cannot do it.

After toiling in shadow worlds, I've met elves in a shadow world and begged them to teach me the Elven Magic system. The moment I came out of the shadow world, I felt like I was a changed man. The joy of being able to use magic other than even made me shed a tear.

Now don't say that Elven magic system is a lie, the original protagonist, Desir, learned Dragon Tongue, the Dragon's fcking magic system. Although there's a backlash because of using it while not being a true dragon, its still a fcking Dragon Magic. They are the epitome of Magic. If the Elves are loved by mana, then those lizards are loved by the Magic God, that's how broken they are. Even I can't nullify that fcking Final boss' self destruction ability.

"We're back, Young Lord." Idom who's at the front said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I'm tired. I can't believe I've been conned for being a smartass." I said as I moved gloomily back to my room.

"What happened to him?" Idom asked Wilhelm.

"Who knows?" Wilhelm shook his head and went back to the manor and help out with the menial jobs.

{The Next Day}

I woke up early and started warming up my body. I then grabbed a spear, not a training spear, and repeatedly started practicing. Because Wilhelm would always stop me from overdoing it, I limited the practice to 500 stabs, 500 slash, 500 slice per arm. After completing one set, I would switch to the other hand and start all over again.

(A/N: Slash for vertical swings while Slice is horizontal swing to differentiate the two)

While I was busy doing my practice, a guest came to meet with Wilhelm incognito.

Wilhelm brought the guests to a patio and removed their hoods. It was Gilltian and Adjest. They watched as I continued swinging, slicing, and stabbing the air with a spear. A real spear, not a training one. The weight between the two is different since the real spear is more heavier than wooden training spear.

'This brat's insane. His parent's may have created something far more than just a genius' Gelltian thought.

Adjest was looking at me training and she clenched her cute little fist hard. Her fighting spirit burned. Noticing the changes in his daughter, Gelltian rubbed her head.

"Adjest, while its good to be motivated, doing things step by step is far more beneficial for you. A great tower is built under strong foundations, never forget that." Gelltian said and Adjest nodded her head cutely.

Finishing my daily practice, I placed the spear down to the weapon racks and saw Wilhelm standing beside it. I looked up to him and saw his eyes making contact with someone. Following his line of sight, I saw him eyeing the patio, so I did. I was slightly surprised. I was expecting that Gilltian would appear but never this early.

Wilhelm gave me a towel to wipe my sweat off as I walked closer to them.

"Greetings, your majesty." I said with a light bow.

"Enough of the formalities, you know why I'm here, right?" He asked with a serious tone while I just made a bitter smile.

I wiped the sweat off my face and sat down opposite to them.

"Uncle Wilhelm, can you fetch me a change of clothes please." I said to Wilhelm who silently complied. He lightly bowed to Gilltian before making his way back to the manor.

"Let's get straight to the point. What happened yesterday was not a result of reverse-analyzing a spell, is it?" Gilltian asked. His stare, trying to pierce to me.

"No. It isn't." I replied, not minding his stare.

"Then what is it?" Gilltian asked me again.

"Is it that important, Emperor?" I asked in a nonchalant tone.

"You don't know how important it is for us." He said solemnly but I just shrugged it off.

"Its a unique magic." My words made Gilltian stop.

"By mixing my mana with the mana elements in the air opposite to the spell being cast then infusing that mana to the enemy's magic circle spell, the result would be my unique magic, " I said making him ponder about it.

"Also... the reason why I said its unique is that normally, humans doesn't have the ability to work with the mana in the air." I said making Gilltian stare at me again.

"But you could?" Gilltian asked once more. Adjest were looking back and forth to his father and me, not understanding the situation at all.

"I don't know either. I only know that I was able to do it. You can try it if you want." I said to him. If he messed up I can just negate the failed experiment.

"Adjest, do you mind casting an ?" Gilltian said to Adjest and she nodded and casted the spell. Gilltian made a move and tried to do what I said but no matter what he does, he can't.

'Even the Greatest Magician, from the magic tower, wasn't able to do it. What makes you think you can?' I thought as he failed and I simply nullified the .

"See? Only I can do it." I said as if it was expected.

'Just what have you created my friend?' Gilltian thought in his mind while chuckling inwardly.

Wilhelm then came back with a new set of clothing and placed them at the table.

"You've broadened my horizons today, Aegis. I'll be sure to visit your parents' grave after some time. We'll take our leave." Gilltian stood up.

"Looks like I'll be receiving an important guest at my territory later. I promise to make sure that your stay at the Blackwood Dukedom will be enjoyable." I said with a light bow and escorted them back to their carriage.

"I'll be looking forward to it." Gilltian said with a smile and boarded the carriage. I then watched them leave the manor before going back inside. I need to return and start training seriously back at home.

Was the Elven magic system confusing? I will explain what other stuff Nullification can do as the story progress.

Elven Magic system, uses the mana inside their body and mix it with the mana in the air to create spells. Because MC is just randomly mixing it with the elemental mana in the air, he got random effects, hence, the Gacha Magic. But now that MC can single out the Elemental Mana he needed, he can create specific spells that he needs.

Is it still confusing? Its the simplest explanation I could think of.
