CHAPTER 32

Hazel had her eyes closed, even though she felt the hard ground, she knew that she will have to open her eyes and face the angels of death soon.

Getting the cure of the chemical that was spreading through her body was impossible, form what Day told her that many doctors had tried to find the cure, but failed miserably, she was quite sure Ash's 'cure' was not genuine, she had smiled before 'dying', his efforts were futile.

She opened her eyes at last, afraid of what she will see, but she didn't expect this.

Everything was pure white, there were a few benches. The last of the room couldn't be seen by fog, which was unusual, She looked around and saw a few really big windows, she stood up, and surprisingly she could walk, she rushed towards the window and saw nothing but snow, deserted except for 2 lone trees, one filled with leaves and the other, surprisingly, not a leaf on its branches.

She looked back at the hall and saw a woman, sitting at the farthest bench.

She started to walk there, as this was the only thing she knew she could do, she had questions, like where are they, is the leafy tree insane or thousand questions.

She made her way to her and saw she had, chocolate brown hair which fell down her shoulder in messy waves, Hazel frowned, her hair looked oddly familiar.

The woman's face was hidden by the veil of hair that fell across her face, she was staring at something that was in her hand, Hazel glanced at it and her heart lurched, it was the necklace her mom had given her when she had turned 6, it had 3 identical ones. each one had a triplet photo of the family, hers had Day, Xander and her dad, the other had too.

She had lost it after a month. she had cried, it was the last thing her mom had given her and she had thrown it out the window in utter despair, she had immediately regretted it and rushed out to find it, but it was nowhere.

Now looking at it her eyes teared up, she glanced at the woman and wondered where she had got it.

'Uh, hello?' Hazel said, her voice sounding strangely strong, now that she realized she felt no pain, she quickly looked at her shoulder, the scar had disappeared, she looked at her hand where their were several scars, they too were gone.

She focused on the woman who was looking at her, Hazel's heart clenched, she realized why her hair seemed familiar, she had the same hair, the same eyes, in short, it was her mom, Hazel stood their in shock, her mom had a smile plastered on her face, seeing her face after years, Hazel's heart felt like exploding, a part of her was afraid to approach her, she was afraid that it was just a fragment of her memories and it will hurt as soon as her mom goes away, a part of her was smiling at her mom.

Hazel fought with herself for a second, as her mom stood up.

'You changed' Her moms blessed voice filled her ears.

Hazel just nodded in a daze, her mom chuckled lightly before approaching her and ruffling her hair, 'You grew up to be beautiful, brave, you made me proud, you grew up to become a leader' Her mom whispered to her lightly.

Hazel nodded, silent tears running down both of their faces, Hazel looked at her, drinking in her sight, her mom gazed deep in her eyes, almost as if penetrating her soul, Hazel couldn't get enough of her mom.

'Mam' Hazel whispered, her resolve breaking and the happy part of her got hold of her, Hazel smiled and pounced on her mother, hugging her fiercely.

Her mother chuckled and ruffled her hair.

'You sure look quite like me' Hazel told her, wrenching herself away from her.

'I know my dear, I know'

They sat on the bench and for a while there was silence at each looked at their hands, thinking of what to say next, at last Hazel's mom broke the silence.

'Hazel, stop thinking that'

Hazel looked puzzled. 'What?'

'I can read your mind here, it takes time to know how to do it but I can hear your thoughts'

'I am not thinking anything'

'Yes...you are....afraid of yourself, trying to be something you are not is always a challenge but facing yourself as you are is even a bigger one, once you learn to accept yourself, the world will accept you, The world only wants an opening in some ones shield, they will be waiting with daggers, just to plunge it in a human, it gives no shame to do so, the world is like that Hazel, don't try to hide yourself, people will realize you a re insecure and target you... try to accept yourself as you are, you can't wait for a price to show up and save you, cause in this life their are no princes, you are the only one who can help yourself'

Her mom looked at her. 'And the way to do that is make someone realize their mistake, forgive and then move on, forget, or at least try to'

'Are you talking about Dad?'

'Yes, he has been... bad, that's all I can say... but I know Hazel that you are not capable of hatred... inside you try to forgive, but everyone has a conscience screaming at them not to do something, you just to to learn to silence that voice'
