Appointed by Hell

LIA

Lia and her siblings had spent the night home after playing lots of games and games, most of which Carl was either intentionally losing or winning by chance. It was hard knowing that because the bastard was one sly one.

Jenny had come home a little bit late but no matter how late or how tired she was from work, she would never turn down game night. She knew she was the best at games and the best she would win would always force the siblings to get her the meal of the day.

Sure they had a lot of money to their names, but all these were under the umbrella of the James family. It was a fortune that only Damien oversaw because its not like the siblings had enough time to look into their financial history.

Then again, too much money wasn't really as exciting as the little pennies won in bets and the ones they sweated for. Maybe that's also part of the reason the siblings let their brother handle everything that was related to their family money.

If anything, Damien had invested the money and it was growing by the day.

Lia, Jia, and Carl were mafia leaders who were well known for their impact in the cocaine market, technically the narco business. They had enough money from their wild deals that they didn't have to worry about their fortune.

Jenny was a chief nurse and that paid her very well.

Tahina was a private hospital that was considered the best in the city especially for their services and their care for the people. It was trusted by most and their nurses were elite. With doctor Merrian still heading the doctors, it was easily the safest place in the world, not to mention Mia was also working there.

The hospital was basically the elite hospital in the city and one of the best on the continent. It was the pride of a nation that was so poor yet so rich. Technically, the family could handle itself.

Nikolai hadn't yet told Lia of the Ivanovs being in the country, maybe because he was waiting for a perfect time. But when was the perfect time when they were living on borrowed time themselves?

Carlos had considered telling her as did Jill but they didn't want to worry her. Rest assured they would get an earful for keeping her in the dark, but they argued that it was better to have her know when the Ivanovs struck instead of at this moment when everything in her life was just getting back on track.

Maybe it was shitty of them, but for their sibling, they would move the fucking population to another planet if she wanted to be alone. As they retired to bed, they knew there would be chaos in the morning, or better yet, there would be a sea of reporters at the Garner residence and at the company to demand answers for what had been released.

Until then, the schedule would stay the same. Bit by bit they would take away everything from Ryan Collins and they wouldn't blink. They would eliminate everything he cared for. They would make him feel what it meant like to be alone.

They would force him to understand their pain and they would do it with their smiles on their faces. Their only prayer as they had gone to bed that night, was that their parents would be proud of them, if ever there was heaven or if the afterlife was real. Until then, they would keep hoping for a miracle.

Upon his sister's request, more like his boss's command, Nikolai Orlov had released evidence about Collins senior's death, the mystery that the world had never been able to solve, one they were never even aware of in the first place.

At first, it was not easy with Nik looking at his boss curiously, almost as if asking her if she really was sure about what they were doing. He had never questioned the motives of his boss, if anything, he was just a hired gun that had been considered family.

He was not going to overstep his boundaries, but he still needed to be sure. They would do the expose in bits to the point that by Monday, there would be chaos, and hopefully, they would be able to execute phase two of their vengeance or as they preferred to call it, divine justice.

This expose was timed.

By Friday midnight, the hints about the death of Collins senior would surface.

By 4 am Saturday, the suicide letter would be released.

By 10 am the same day, they would analyze the letter publicly and point out the hints in the letter.

By Saturday evening or close of business, they would trigger questions about the death of Julita Collins, the city's best gynecologist.

By Saturday midnight they would have made the world question the ability of Gauri to give birth and whether she had murdered Julita to have her babies. Of course, that would trigger the whole Garner community.

By Sunday morning, there would be news all over about the twins and their actual relationship with the Garners and their links to Ryan Collins.

By Sunday evening, they would release rumors about Garner killing Collins senior and by Monday, if everything went according to plan, they would quietly watch the investors pull out as their sister would start her first day at work and be the supportive girlfriend.

Simply put, Amelia Bethany was not going to go easy on Ryan. She had a lot in store for him, and luckily for her, she had very powerful siblings whose demand for justice and desire to see her lead a normal life had heightened their desire for vengeance.

It was about time they got it anyways.

Releasing hints about the death of Ryan's father was bound to cause one of the largest storms in a city that was already handling too much pressure. Everyone was still coming to terms with the death of the Garners but then with the new information that had been released, there would be questions.

Questions as to why Ryan Collins never talked about the suicide of his father, questions about how he had managed to hide that shit from the media. The entitlement the media felt they had was something that pissed Ryan off and would always piss him off for as long as the media existed and as long as he was a public figure.

Someone would think that with the data analytics in Garner stats, there was literally no time to find yourself in scandals, however, this bunch of data analysts was residing at the center of the scandals of the city.

It was almost as if they lived and thrived in them. They really had no need for publicity stunts, because their lives were already the stunts themselves. Ryan and Alex were drinking their lives away talking about nothing and everything all at the same time.

By dawn, they figured they were too drunk to keep going, besides their chauffeurs were already waiting. Not that they had left anyways.

Seeing as they were both shit drunk, leaving them in their homes alone was bound to be chaotic so the chauffeurs decided to drive them to Ryan's house, after an intense coin toss between the two drunk bastards who could barely remember their names.

There really needed to be an alcohol limit for these two because one of these days they would end up in a sewer, not that it would be surprising anyways.

Alex and Ryan were known by the city and the nation, possibly the world to be the iconic best friends who cared and loved each other with a love everyone envied. Of course, they seemed perfect to the people and maybe they really were.

At least on the best friend scale, they could score a 9 out of ten even when their world was technically fucked already.
