Alexander was distraught by how things had turned out. He knew there was no coming back from this, but maybe there was. maybe there was hope for him and his family, he just had to think. He just had to find the opening that would help him gain a little bit of balance.

He was hoping, maybe it was too much, but a man like him and in this state, he had nothing more to lose. He had already lost everything when Lia had said her goodbyes to him.

"I was loyal to you, Alexander, and you fucked it up." Lia had said to him, and like the goodbye, they never thought they would say, she had added, "take care my angelus."

Lia's words made Alex feel like shit if he wasn't already feeling like shit. She still saw him as an angel even though he was nothing close to an angel. She loved him, even when he had betrayed her. Even when he had not trusted her.
