She woke up to an empty bedside. After she revived back from the unconsciousness of sleep, the conversation of last night rushed to her head and replayed over and over again like it was the only thing to ever exist in her head. She glanced at her side where he could have been sleeping but like always he wasn't present there.
Suddenly her mood wasn't as bright as it was when he was around. She wondered if he ever stayed with her or left after she had slept. Rubbing her eyes she stood up and stretched her legs and back, yawning. She still felt tired even though she had slept for quite long. The sun rays could be seen poking through the heavy beige curtains.
Slowly she slipped out of the covers and walked over to the window. Gingerly she pulled off the heavy curtains that revealed a huge stained glass window behind. There were decorative patterns above it that were colored with multiple shades and a huge iron lock suspended in the middle.
