Good Ol' Days

"Shit, why me?" What did I ever do to you to deserve this? God damnit!!!" He collapses to the floor. He bawls his eyes out. "Father, no. I can't...I can't do it." As he cries his body aches with pain and it prevents him from standing. " You are a worthless piece of shit Lamplite. What a waste of heritage. It's your fault that your mother died!!" says Lamplite's father, as his eyes glare at him as if he's trying to burn a hole into Lamplite's chest. He grabs Lamplite by the throat, enjoying the suffering he's putting his son through. "F...FUCK...Y...YOU!!! YOU SON OF A BITCH!!! GO TO HELL!!!" Lamplite gets a tight grip on his father's arm and spits in his face. His father enraged He squeezes his throat much tighter than he did before. Lamplite's skin starts to grow pale. "Brother noooooo!!!" says Forcesth. Lamplite's father completely lets go of Lamplite's throat and he stares at Forcesth in shock. He walks over to Forcesth and says "Hey Forcesth...son, come sit next to dad."  Forcesth walks over to his father who reaks of alcohol and is covered in dried blood from his hands to his arms. "Dad why is brother like that?" Forcesth looks over at his brother in worry. He pays attention to Lamplite's breathing patterns and he realizes that they get shorter and shorter. "Is he okay? What have you done dad?" Forcesth's eyes fill with tears. He balls up his fists and walks over to Lamplite "Son I--" Lamplite's father can think of anything to say. He immediately gets up and walks away into the kitchen. Lamplite's Father grabs a knife out of the drawer and waves it around " YOU SON OF A BITCH!!! YOU FUCKED UP MY WHOLE LIFE!!! ILL KILL YOU!!!!" Lamplite's dad storms loudly into his room. With the little time they have left together Lamplite says with the little bit of consciousness left " Forth, I'll be home soon okay. I'll be fine." Lamplite opens his eyes as wide as he can and sees that his little brother Forcesth is crying. "awww little Forth don't cry, I'll see you soon okay I promise." He sticks out his pinky so they can do their last pinky promise to seal the deal. Lamplite smiles the biggest smile he can manage to fish up and then he goes unconscious. "Okay big brother. I love you, big brother." " I...Love...You...Too--" says Lamplite and then he's gone.
