A Workoholic Superman !

At late night in GVAN hospital

After 10 hours operation, Dr. Varun Kashyap finally came out. He looks just like a model, walking for a photoshoot. It's a different thing that nobody can afford to hire him. Even after being under pressure for so long, it doesn't hide his charm. Instead, it added to him a manly aura.

"The patient is fine now," he stated, and without waiting for anyone, strode towards the private elevator. When he reached the top floor of the building, he entered his office.

Just after it, a person who looks dashing in his Armani suit came running after him. He is Rahul Kashyap, the adopted son of the Kashyap family and the best friend of Varun.

"Hey bro, you should at least wait for me. What's the hurry?" he asked.

"What's the matter?" Varun said in a cool-collected manner.

"Nothing! I just wanted to see you. It has been two days since I last saw you even after working in the same office," he stated.

"Oh," he replied with the same indifferent voice.

"What oh! " Rahul pouted. If girls are present at this time, then they must be fawning over him. He looks too cute!

"Rahul, if you have nothing to do, then go home and sleep. Why waste my time?" this time, he answered in a slightly irritated voice and leaned back on the chair with his eyes closed.

"Bro, when did you last eat? Let me tell you, in the afternoon, do you know what time it is? It's 1 'o'clock at night. For the past two days, you are taking tasks one after the other. What do you think you are? A superman? Even a superman can't handle continuous 12 hours working and then a 10 hours operation.

Are you trying to show the world a new way to die by over-exhaustion? Bro, I am too young to die, please, understand."

"Nobody is asking you to stay here and work till death with me. You are free to leave," he replied with his eyes closed.

"You know I can't do this! Now don't ask why. You know I had pledged to maa* that I will be your friend-plus-brother-plus-babysitter. I can't leave my responsibility."

"Then I too can't leave my responsibility, Rahul."

"What is your responsibility? to take GVAN hospitals to the sky, so let me tell you, boss we are already there, now where do you want to take it more, to Jupiter?" he sneered.

Varun released a long sigh and responded, "Fine, let's go home."

Rahul grins.

Rahul had been with Varun since childhood. They both went to London together for their studies. Rahul grew up to become a friendly and handsome person, while Varun became a cool and formidable young man. After completing their studies, they started practicing in the GVAN Corporation's London branch.

Rahul knows his best friend, Varun, the best. After losing his dad and becoming the CEO of GVAN Corporation, Varun had become colder and colder. He wants his brother to be lively again, but no matter what he does, Varun remains the same. So he keeps throwing tantrums at Varun to make him listen to his words. He knew well as long as he acts like a spoiled little brother, his bestie Varun will give in to him.

In The Car

Rahul asked, "Say Varun, are you going to Jaipur University tomorrow yourself?"

"Do I have an option when you are busy with the team of the department in another project?" he said sarcastically.

"Hehe..right right....you should be thankful that I am doing the harder job while you just have to go to a University and just sign some docs there."

"Hmm."

"So I have set the meeting at 10 am tomorrow...will you be able to wake up till 9? cause it's already 1:30 am."

He doesn't reply.

Rahul started his overacting again, "Oh! Of course, you will be able to wake up. How can I underestimate you! You are more awesome than superman! Even if you don't sleep today, you will be able to work tomorrow. OH god! Can't you find any other way of punishing me! Why punishing me by giving me such a cruel workaholic brother..woo...woo..."

Varun doesn't respond and silently listens to his friend's nagging because he is too tired to reply, and he knows his friend is speaking for his own good.

Even if he is whining about him working overtime, he still doesn't leave him alone. No matter what happens, he won't go home until Varun goes.

Yes, he was right. He is somewhat friend, brother, and babysitter at the same time for him. He keeps nagging for his own good all day long.

He doesn't want to be like this too and never wanted to be like this, but Mahakal* had his own plans for him.

They reached the Kashyap House and had dinner.

Rahul entered into dreamland, the second his head touched the pillow, but it's not the same with Varun.

Ever since his father's death four years ago when he became the CEO of the GVAN group of hospitals and companies, he got this insomnia. Sometimes it becomes worse, just like today.

He never wanted to be a King with a crown, all he wanted was to pursue his dreams. It's not that he doesn't want to be the CEO, it's just that he wants to take things slow.

He studied both Medicine and business together because he was interested in both and wanted to become both, doctor and a businessman.

Today he is doing it, fulfilling his dreams, being on the pinnacle of both cardiology and business, but he is not satisfied.

When his dad died in an accident, he was called back immediately from London, where he completed most of his studies and had made to take over the vast GVAN corporation.

He loves his dad too much and never thought something could happen to him. He wants to grieve for him but doesn't have the time to do so because a vast empire was waiting for its new King.

With no option left, he took over and did what everyone wants him to do but, during it, he lost his soul somewhere. Whoever would see him in this state will surely think of him as a beautiful statue without any signs of life.

Next morning,

Somya woke up early today because she has to go to University before going to her office.

When she reached University, she called Diya. Diya came to the University gate.

"Madam, you should be more early to the time," she complained.

"Diya, is this the way to speak to your father?" Somya replied in a fake heavy voice.

"Huh...I never had a lazy father like you!" Diya stated.

"You unfilial daughter! Fine, then our daughter-father relationship ends here." Somya replied, acting angry.

"If you are done with your overacting, shall we proceed?" she asked.

"Lead the way," Somya said, still immersed in her role.

When Somya reaches the HOD's office, she gets to know, that HOD went to the principal's office with some students. Somya doesn't have the time to wait, so she directly strode towards the principal's office.

At the principal's office, a commotion is going on to which even outsiders can listen.
