I Won't Kill You

"Mufan!" Li Ji An's call sounded more like a whisper now.

Forget the pain in her elbow. Now the feeling of fear has taken over Li Ji An's entire body.

Where is Mufan now? Li Ji An desperately needed that man's presence.

Li Ji An tried to stand up on both feet. Past the pool of blood on the floor, following the trail of other drops of blood, Li Ji An tried to find out where the blood came from.

Traces of blood on the floor led Li Ji An toward the walk-in closet. The place was dark as the previous room. But Li Ji An didn't have to push any switches because once she stepped into the room the lights would automatically go on.

Li Ji An had not yet dared to step through the darkness. Her heart ached with all kinds of bad thoughts that might happen. Is this the meaning of the nightmare?

Old Madame Li had warned her and even equipped her with a protective talisman. Ah, the bracelet. Li Ji An tightly grasped the jade bracelet Old Madame Li had given her. If anything bad would happen, this thing should counteract it.

But would something bad really happen to her?

Or could it be that something happened to Ye Mufan?

The thought of Ye Mufan gave Li Ji An the courage to step into the walk-in closet.

Instantly the lights went on and lit the whole room as soon as Li Ji An entered.

Li Ji An's gaze followed the trail of blood and stopped at the body that was bent on the floor.

Red blood spread in several parts of the body. The color contrasts sharply with the white suit that the body is wearing. Li Ji An recognized the man's clothes that were covered in blood on the floor. It should be the white tuxedo Mufan wore at their wedding today.

"Mufan?" Li Ji An covered her mouth. Afraid that what came out of her mouth would become some kind of curse that could come true.

It can't be Ye Mufan!

Ye Mufan is hiding somewhere safe and preparing to marry her today. The man on the floor couldn't be Ye Mufan. NO!!!

Tears rolled down Li Ji An's face. The makeup can't be saved.

Li Ji An stepped closer to the body to check. The face of this body is not visible because it is lying on its back. Li Ji An tried to take a close look.

On the long fingers covered in blood, there was an embedded ring. The black platinum ring that Li Ji An immediately recognized was Ye Mufan's.

That man on the floor is Ye Mufan? How can?

What happened to Ye Mufan?

Li Ji An's tears became heavy, she almost collapsed to Ye Mufan's side but it seemed that someone had caught her. Covering her mouth so she did not scream shouting the name Mufan. Pulled Li Ji An away from Ye Mufan's body.

Was this man the one who killed Mufan?

A cold object was pointed at Li Ji An's neck, she could feel it. It was cold and felt wet.

On Li Ji An's side was a large mirror, Li Ji An could see her reflection with the tail of her eye. There was a knife covered in blood pointed at her neck.

That knife must be the thing used to injure Ye Mufan.

"You shouldn't have come here. That man doesn't deserve the love of a woman like you. That bastard deserves to die!"

The man's words confirmed that it was he who killed Mufan.

Even though she was afraid, Li Ji An was trying to make a move to escape. Li Ji An tried to get the knife away from her neck first. Thanks to her movements, she was now positioned at the right angle to look through the mirror.

Li Ji An could see the face of the man behind her. Their gazes met. This man has cold eyes, jet black hair that has been neatly gelled and he was in the black suit. The man behind Li Ji An didn't seem like a murderer. His face line was firm and shapely, he could even become a groom if Li Ji An brought him to church now.

But the knife in his hand said something else. This man was clearly the one who killed Ye Mufan and now he is going to kill Li Ji An as well.

"I won't kill you." The whisper sounds trusted as Li Ji An looked into the man's eyes when he promised.

Would Li Ji An trust the man who killed Ye Mufan?

NO! Li Ji An won't let this man go!

Li Ji An thought she could turn things around after biting the man's hand, putting up the resistance she knew. Li Ji An has no choice. She couldn't possibly be left alive after seeing Ye Mufan's killer.

The choice is to kill or be killed.

There is no other way out. Ye Mufan has died and Li Ji An would not be satisfied if she went after Mufan without taking revenge on this killer.

But the Gods have written down how her destiny should work out.

"I told you I wouldn't kill you, but you don't seem to give me any other choice."

The man lay down his hand to Li Ji An.

"Aaaaa!"
