"My dear, why are you crying?"
The celebration at the Li family mansion ended an hour ago. Li Qin sat on the edge of her bed and cried in her mother's arms.
"Honey, are you sad that Chairman Li is back?" Ms. Yao asked.
"I don't really care about Uncle Sheng. What made me cry was Big Brother Yu, not Uncle Jisheng." Li Qin opened up to her mother. "He knew I liked him and he told me to stay away."
Li Qin may have tried hard to appear strong or played dumb when Su Yu warned her. But honestly she wanted to cry. Su Yu's refusal hurt her heart which had been spoiled by her mother's affection and the stupid men she could play with as she pleased. Maybe it's karma, but Li Qin wouldn't believe such a thing. She believed that Li Si An was the main problem that kept her from getting to Su Yu.
