Surprise Visitor from another Realm

After collecting Kenshin in Nepal, the three of us decide to head back to Indiana. We have time to find the others. Sonya and i talk a bit during the trip back about her life and family a bit. Turns out military is in her blood. Whether its her mom or dad or grandparents they've always been military or special forces or secret service but you get the idea.

"Hey Ben?" Sonya finally asks i turn my head in her direction to signify im listening "If i dont have the mark what am i supposed to do? You said it yourself most guns wont work on the stronger Outworlders, and i highly doubt i can fight with you guys with my bear hands? Each of you can do so much. You move boulders with a nod of your head, Kenshin was conjuring body doubles and fighting with his arms crossed using nothing but his mind. I don't want to be stuck on the sidelines benched and watching you guys die for me."

I cant imagine what shes going through being the only one without a special power. My original plan was to let her kill Kano again for the mark, but i dont think she can wait. This isnt the movie, shes a real person experiencing everyone around her get stronger for a death tournament she cant participate in.

So i take her hand, she looks me in the eyes and i say "There is always a way, and i promise you the minute we find someone with a mark that doesnt deserve it or has abused their arkana then the kill is yours." She sits there in silence as the plane touches down. We head to baggage to claim our bags and Kenshin headed to a special drop off to reclaim his sword.

Me and Sonya head to the front Lobby to see Jax and Nightwolf waiting for us with smiles.

"Where's Cho? Did you guys not find him?" Jax asked us. We were about to give him a rough explanation when the crowd of people running and screaming drew our attention. We look at each other before Kenshin comes flying across the room sword in hand.

"KEN!" I yell out to grab his attention and he rushes over to join our group. Jax and Sonya already have their guns drawn and Me, Nightwolf, and Kenshin already activated our Arkana. I sense someone looking at us front a few meters away in front of us but before i could alert the others she disappeared and reappeared behind us stabbing me in the gut. I scream in pain as Nightwolf launches his tomahawk at her.

She shadow shifts behind him but is met with a clip of 24 which she dodged by doing a series of cartwheels and flips. When Sona has to reload The assassin jumps toward Nightwolf sai brandished only to be parried by Kenshin.

She steadies herself and looks back at us. "4 champions? It seems my information was wrong, you guys ARE gathering before hand. I must go back and report this at once and earn Shang Tsung's favor."

Only i understand in our group how big that threat is. She covers herself if shadows once more but how can i let her relay that news to Shang Tsung. "SONYA YOU KNOW WHERE MY FILES ARE, KEEP TRAINING AND GATHERING THE CHAMPIONS." I don't wait for confirmation and just charge straight at the woman and grab onto her right before she disappeared.

The group looks stunned at the events that just unfolded and are unsure how to react except for Sonya who sheds a tear and looks back up with a determined gaze.

Meanwhile our hero and the assassin are tumbling through the shadows before they land in an arid desert. The woman looks shocked to find me.

"YOU FOOL, YOU THREW OFF MY JUMP AND NOW I DON'T KNOW WHERE WE ARE. ILL KILL YOU MYSELF" She goes to stab me again but i simply grab her hand while making a quiet motion shushing her. Shes angry but i calm her rage by pointing downwards and whispering "there's something really large tunneling below us."

She stops for a second before saying sandworm. My vision is a bit blurry on all this sand but not to the point its useless. I point in a direction thats clear and we head that way. The second i gave the all clear she lunged at me 2 sai drawn. I dodged her cut and landed a kick on her shoulder before driving my weight into her disarming her left. She jumps back and looks at me and i finally decided.

"Wait! Truce! We're both stuck in this desert so lets look for a way out first." -Ben

"No need i shall feast on your flesh and bring your head as a trophy for Shang Tsung to earn my way into his court." -Assassin

"Do you really believe that Shang Tsung of all people will take care of you? He's only interested in conquering earthrealm. The minute youre no longer useful to him then he shall throw you away. Youre a tarkatan right? Proud people, tell me what will you do when he makes you slaughter your tribes for refusing to bow to him?"

She goes silent for a second before putting away her Sai. "I have no choice. Shao Khan is a warmonger who keeps the Outerworld divided. The only food and water we have are whats scrounged up or stolen. The Khan holds the only oasis that the tribes are only allowed access to for submitting their people to his armies. At least Shang Tsung will allow us the resources of Earth realm if we fight for him."

Ive always known the Outerworld was brutal but this is ridiculous. I can see why theyre eager to get to Earthworld.

"So let me get this straight as long as you guys can have water and food you'll be satisfied not working for Shang Tsung?"

"As long as we are fed and watered there is no reason to align ourselves with Warmongers. The Outworld is a wasteland that even claimed Edenia the last paradise. Shao Khan burned the place to the ground and set his men around their resources. "

"Well if you can promise not to skewer me again, i can probably do something about that water issue." Her eyes widen in shock and surprise at my words "But that won't stop the Khan from marching in and claiming the new water source as his."

She stops and thinks for a second before deciding to trust me. She takes off her face mask not that I can see but she probably havent realized my eyes dont work. "Mileena. Thats my name. I was a clone created using sorcery. I am 40% Tarkatan and 60% Edenian. If your words are true then there is someone you should meet. If you can convince her to aid us then you and you alone can change the fate of the Outerworlds."

"Benjamin Walker, and I tell no lies, this realm has plenty of water you just didnt know where to look." which is true. I can still sense the water miles underground "Who is it that we have to meet Mileena."

"We are going to meet up with my sister. Kitana."
