Alex was greeted by the sunlight early in the morning as it passed through his windows towards his room. It was Sunday right now and Jason would arrive later. At first, that horrible passed through his mind but changed it as he was still sane. He would never kill a person without a valid reason he thought soundly. Even though he had gain suddenly this power that could naturally help him.
Alex did not have extra cash as there were only a hundred dollars that were left for him to survive the next few days. Alex took a loan from Jason a long time ago but the former did not pay the full amount each time Jason would come and he once was beaten because of it.
Alex did not have any worthy stuff that could pay off the loan. He lived in a cheap apartment that could barely provide him a so-called home in this rich and prosperous city.
"Alex!? You there?"
"Hey! You hear me?"
Jason was knocking on the door. Alex already knew that Jason would not come alone and would be with his bodyguards.
Alex opened the door to his apartment and without even asking Jason walked in bumping into him. Jason was surprised though as Alex did not fall as he did that.
"You're much different from the last time I saw you. You don't have that look on your face." Jason smirked as he recalled that moment.
"So, where's my money?"
"I don't have it."
"You do realize what is about to happen if you won't pay up?"
"Of course, you're going to order your lackeys."
"Ohohoho, talking back now are we?"
"Boys, teach him a more painful lesson than the last time."
The two men behind Jason cracked their knuckles with mocking eyes as they stared down their prey. They did not know that these two would be in a surprise.
Bucky, the black man was the first to move to try and punch Alex but he merely sidesteps as it was too slow for him as his reactions also increased. Mike, seeing that his companion did not even hit a hair of Alex followed up with his attack synchronizing with Buckey as they did this many times during the past. Jason was astonished as to what Alex was doing. This guy seemed to be a natural fighter but why did he not show it in the past.
"Fellas, I don't want to hurt you, so, you can stop attacking me now or you guys would get it."
"Are you mocking us right now? We own your ass!"
They did a lot of punches and kicks that missed. They were getting tired as Alex suddenly moved and punched them with control to not end being dead.
"Alright, Alright, stop it now!" Jason commanded them.
They soon stopped as they saw that they were no match for the brand new and mysterious Alex.
"This is getting nowhere. How about this. Since you can't pay me back because you lack the ability to pay me money. How about I gave you an opportunity to make some and then you can pay me back?"
"What is this opportunity that you speak of?"
"It's really not an opportunity but a chance to prove yourself that you're the best fighter underground here in New York. All the local gangs will be there and they will have each their own fighter to try and win the pot money of ten thousand dollars."
"We take half of the prize money. I know that's much more than you owe me but consider making me a friend in return for doing so. You won't get in without my help."
Jason saw that Alex was hesitating and said a few more words to convince him.
"Is it a deal?"
"I guess so. When will it be held?"
"The fight will be on the last day of the month. We will pick you up here in your apartment to guide you where it is."
"Okay."
After that, Jason said goodbye to Alex and apologized for intruding.
Even though Alex was very strong right now. He really did not know how to fight. He usually moves by instinct and reflexes. He opened up his computer and then the browser and tried finding some moves in MeTube.
Input search 'Kuh-rate'
It showed all the different moves by masters and students alike that posted on social media. He tried to copy everything he clicked, and somehow he thought it was still better than nothing.
It was still a week before the fight so he practiced what he searched browsing through different martial arts. Honestly, he thought that in the future this might come in handy. He started working out and tried to exert how much force he can use. There was no way to measure how strong he was so he got into a gym where there were weights. He looked around and an instructor walked to him and asked what would he like to do.
"I want to do weights because I want to know how heavy I can lift."
"Okay sure. Right, this way."
The instructor demonstrated and taught him the basics of the dos and don't. Alex was a fast learner and remembered all of them.
He tried lifting 50kg. He felt like it was lifting a feather.
60kg.
70kg.
80kg.
100kg.
125kg.
150kg.
200kg.
300kg.
"Hmm, I am still not at my limit."
500kg.
"I've used a bit of effort on this one. I guess I will try increasing it more. "
700kg.
Alex finally found where his limit at.
The instructor wasn't paying attention to Alex when he suddenly heard a loud bang as the weights struck the floor really hard when Alex could not lift it anymore.
"What the hell happened?"
"Sorry, I guess I got a little carried away and I thought I could lift them all."
Alex said his goodbyes to the instructor was it was closing time. The instructor was shocked when he was arranging back the weights that had been used by Alex.
"700kg? Who was that guy?"
