"Careful, sister Nei,"
I gripped the nearby tree in time. I would have slipped and tumbled down the slope. Rudolph came and grasped my hand.
"Let's rest here," he pointed out a boulder. We staggered to it and sat down, taking measured sips from our water skins.
We were out looking for medicinal ingredients. My disciples and I. It was part of their training and it was game for me to get away from Arhid. Somehow, his not vouching for me back at the Temple crisis had strained our friendship.
"Sister Nei, where are we spending the night?" Rudolph asked me, yawning.
"I'll conjure up a comfortable tent," I replied, looking off into the horizon.
Iria was at the war-front, battling against the Valencian troops. The situation had changed drastically when General Zarin reported that the king had allied with Grihame, a neighbouring kingdom renowned for it's dark mages and poison masters. Their royal family, Inkblack, lorded over the kingdom.
This new circumstance flipped the situation of the war in such a way that there was no way Iria could not intervene, along with the Savitro Zhan generals. She had pronounced grandmother acting clan princess upon her departure and said that, should anything happen to her, grandmother was to move the clam away from Hakorhi's founding land.
Things were relatively peaceful back at the clan, a result of the forgering of a truce between Hakorhi and Termuzin, details of which were privy to Iria and her advisors. Termuzin mages patrolled the clan day and night, in case of an attack. Therefore, with nothing holding me down, I decided to venture into the mountains with my disciples to train them.

"Where's Lena?" Rudolph asked, as we sat around a conjured fire that was as warm, if not more, than a real one. It was the handiwork of my brother, and I was giddy with how much he'd progressed.
"She's in the tent. She hasn't come out of her mind image. Her seal must be pretty strong." Mel replied, his fire flickering to lighten up his dark stern face. Mel was the oldest of all my disciples, being fifteen. Both his parents were overjoyed when he had informed them that I had chosen him as my disciple, as they had given up on him due to his abysmal martial arts.
Sitting next to him was Kira, the youngest, who I suspected was developing a thing for Rudolph. She was very quiet and very shy, hiding behind her cascading brown hair. Of the fire seal, she was truly talented and had been the first to successfully create a pill.
Siva and Lena were alike; impulsive, adventurous. But Lena's seal was proving difficult for her to control, and I didn't want to interfere. I wanted my disciples to be self-sufficient.
"Teacher, when do we leave?" Siva asked me across the fire.
"I decide," I replied. I didn't really have a set time. It was until they had all created rudimentary pills.
We were all startled as we heard Lena scream from within the tent. I jumped to my feet. There was only a long while until I wouldn't interfere.
"You should stay and guard. Don't interrupt me unless it's urgent," I issued instructions even as I opened the flap of the tent.
"Yes, teacher,"
