He really likes you

She reached into the bag and took out another piece of dog biscuit, watching with delight as the golden retriever gobbled it up happily.

It quite relaxing, Sefi thought, no wonder people got pets. They were awfully cute. And the unconditional love they gave back was phenomenal, it was completely unreserved and without any grudge.

She had always wanted a puppy but being the typical Asian parent that her mum was, it was a big fat "NO". "Dogs were unclean", "they carried lice", "they'll poop all over the carpet", that was what her Tiger Mum used to say and being the naive girl, she used to be she believed it.

"He really likes you," Jin said with a smile, stroking the golden retriever's head lovingly.

Sefi rolled her eyes: "Of course he likes me. He can see that I've got all the dog biscuits in the world."

Jin laughed at her own self-mockery but nevertheless didn't argue, because he knew pretty girls and dog biscuits were two of the things Tank loved nothing more than in the world. "I think we'd better take it away, otherwise he will end up eating the whole bag."

He got up and put the dog leash around the neck of the golden retriever. This time, the golden retriever acted obediently and didn't put up a fight.

The two of them walked side by side along the pavement. Sefi had the leash in one hand and ice cream in the other. Whilst Jin was eating his ice cream in one hand, and carried the tray with two drinks in the other.

The golden retriever stood tall and proud as it strutted in front of the two of them as if he was Simba from the "Lion King'. Lagging behind, Sefi momentarily felt a bit like the meerkat character trailing after him, but then again, she took a quick side glance at Jin and felt like laughing, if she was the meerkat that could make Jin the wild boar. That was all it took to brighten her mood.

The three of them were quite a sight, people passing by kept turning their heads to stare at them, half expecting to see camera crew hiding behind the bushes. Were they filming a TV drama?

"The guy is so handsome." Two teenage girls whispered to each other as they walked past. "Are we going to be on TV?" She smoothed her hair self-consciously.

"The girl's pretty too," her friend with short hair replied excitedly. "I've never seen them before, maybe they're new starlets. Their skin is so good."

"The dog is so cute; I just want to pet it." The other girl started to ogling at the golden retriever.

"Me too! It's so cute, I want to steal him!"

Tank seemed to love all the extra attention, he lapped it up with relish. Yes, he was the cutest dog in the whole wide world. No dog was more handsome than me! He wagged his tail to show off. I'm number 1!

"Your turnaround rate is 100%," Jin said half-jokingly and half-seriously.

"They are all looking at you," Sefi said with certainty as she chewed the edges of the wafer cone.

"Why do you think that?" He asked curiously, suddenly interested as to what her answer was going to be.

"What's there to see about me?" She asked in return, tossing the last of her cone into her mouth in one go and chewed noisily. Of course, they were all staring at him with his God-like good looks and superior dress sense. Maybe it was the sunglasses, that always seemed to add a bit of stardom to a person since it covered half of his face.

This time it was his turn to be dumbfounded, but he smiled despite himself. She clearly had no idea how attractive she was. He shook his head. Without waiting for her to ask, he offered her one of the beverages seeing that she had finished her ice cream. She took it and murmured a quick "thanks".

Taking a sip, she frowned, what kind of coffee was this? It tasted weird. She wondered before taking another sip for confirmation, in case her taste buds were playing tricks on it.

"What is this?" She asked him. Still unable to tell what she was drinking.

"Organic grapefruit tea with honey." Jin smiled at her.

Who even drinks this crap? What happened to her coffee? She made a face of absolute disgust.

Seeing her reaction, he laughed, "you've already had chocolate ice cream, it's best not to have too much caffeine in one day."

She raised an eyebrow at him, was he the caffeine police or something? She remembered how she used to drink buckets of coffee in order to stay awake as she pulled an all-nighter before an exam. And she still survived it countless times. Did her no harm. And still managed to ace it.

"It's not good for your health." He stated.

She must admit, she was seeing him in a brand-new light. She studied his face carefully. No wonder Eve the witch was obsessed with him, he had the whole package really. Good looking, good mannerism, good with girls, good with dogs. No doubt he would be good with babies too. What was there not to like about him? He was like a triple threat or quadruple threat, who could resist really?

"Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked, still smiling at her with confidence.

"Do you have any sisters?" She asked.

He shook his head, seemingly surprised by her sudden outburst of question. What did that have to do with anything?

For a guy to be this at ease around girls it could only be one of two reasons. Sefi analysed. They either had a lot of experience with girls, as in they have had a lot of girlfriends. Which was what her ex, Kai was like.

Or they were used to being surrounded by girls because they had sisters growing up.
