Kiera was furious, furious enough to have the vigor of killing a specific person. When she heard all the things that happened yesterday at Mr. Kavin's mansion over the phone, her anger knew no bounds. If she had the chance, she would have already killed that vicious woman and removed her existence from this world. How long is she going to do these crazy things? There should be a limit to this. This is not going to be tolerated anymore.
Kiera didn't want to spare her three years ago either. It was Anna who told her to spare her just for once. But an evil is always an evil. No matter how much time goes by, she will still be the same vixen and make problems for her.
No, this is not going to happen according to Megan's wishes anymore. Kiera is not gonna let her meet Anna at any cost.
**** **** **** **** ****
Megan was happily sipping her wine leisurely sitting on her bed. She liked to drink red wine whenever she felt happy. Though she was insulted by that old fog yesterday, she was quite happy. After all, she found someone she had been looking for for three years crazily. Finally, she found her, huh?
That day, Annabelle thought Megan didn't notice her. But she actually did. After leaving the venue, Megan came back there again. She went there for the purpose of meeting Mr. Kavin but her mind was totally distracted by seeing some familiar silhouette. Was it Annabelle? Though she dwelled on her mind whether she is Annabelle or not, she can forget anything but her. She just couldn't ignore the possibility of finding her here. After all, she left without any notice and closed all the way to find her. But she doesn't know an important fact.
The great Annabelle D'Costa is someone who can never live a lowkey life. Rather, she would like to live in a place where she could easily steal others' spotlight and make herself the center of attention. This is what she did all these years. Living quietly like a saint won't make her sins disappear.
There was a time when people called them a great duo. There was a time when Anna herself called Megan her best friend too. Friendship is something she cherished the most at that time. She thought it was her great fortune to have Annabelle as a friend in her life. She was gullible then, unaware of the selfish side of Annabelle.
Annabelle was always dissatisfied in her heart because she thought she was not that perfect like her sister. The fact of her own perfection was always invisible to her.
Everyone liked her back then. But she never cared about those as if these mere admirations of people mattered nothing to her though those made Megan envious. She was not that good like Anna. She thought competing with her best friend would make her better day by day. Soon she came to know that Anna never thought of her as an opponent, never bothered to compete with her.
Megan became a clown as she assumed things on her own and soon, she started to have negative thoughts. Did Anna ever think of Megan at least as a friend of hers?
Gradually, she felt sick by all of these. Competing with Anna, chatting with Anna, walking alongside Anna, all of these which she loved and craved to do once started to make her feel sick all of a sudden. Her hatred for Anna grew so big that she even hated crossing her shadow but had to do that because of her work. She still hates her to the core and that will never change for sure.
Her thoughts got interrupted when one of her female servants knocked at her door. The servants of this house are very afraid of her. They even prefer to follow her orders rather than following her father's. Megan feels great amusement whenever she sees those scared puppy-like faces of them. But for some reason, they are becoming bolder with each passing day after her father had a great loss in the previous stock market business. Though She told them not to disturb her for some hours, they actually dared to disturb her.
"Go away. Later." As the maid came inside her luxurious bedroom, she ordered her to get out of the room.
"Ma'am, they said it's urgent."
"Urgent? Who said that?" Megan frowned.
"Someone came to meet you, Ma'am. They said it's very urgent…" the maid said fearfully.
Someone came? What does that mean?
"Do they have my appointment?" Megan asked that maid while pinching her nose bridge out of irritation. She was not in the mood to receive a fan now. Nowadays, it's also rare for her fans to gather around her house. Then, who could it be?
"I don't think so Miss, but… but she seems to know you." Finally, Megan was a little curious. She? Then it's a girl, huh? Who could she be?
"Okay, tell her to come in," Megan said, making her maid gape.
Megan could hear some commanding footsteps coming towards her bedroom. She didn't move, just remained seated on her huge sofa. The moment that stranger entered the room, she felt triggered. What is she doing here?
"What do you want here?" Megan shouted menacingly looking at the woman as if she was losing her cool.
There was no response from the other side, she just stared still at the window which was situated exactly opposite of where she was standing. There wasn't anything interesting outside the window except a normal garden view but she just didn't want to harm her eyes by looking at a filthy woman like Megan.
Megan was beyond furious. She should be begging her not to bother Annabelle instead of acting haughty in front of her, right?
Kiera found a chair in the corner of the room and put one of her legs on it as she dragged it in front of the sofa where Megan was sitting.
"I didn't come here to chit-chat. I am warning you simply, leave Anna alone, nothing more, nothing less." Kiera's words were simple and commanding at the same time which made Megan angrier.
"Who are you to order me around inside my own house, huh?"
Kiera smirked evilly.
"Let's calculate these later. I am not here to chat with you that I told you before. Just don't dare to think of making Annabelle's life difficult. I will be good as long as you listen to me, or else…." She didn't finish her sentence as she brought out a revolver from the coach pocket of her overall.
The moment Megan saw that her soul almost left her body. She was always scared of weapons since her childhood. Why did the security let her in without checking her wholly?
"What…. What type of craziness is it? Why are you carrying a gun with you? How did you get that?"
Kiera sneered.
"Why? Do you need one too? I am happily willing to let you eat one at least!" She said as she placed her gun on her head.
Kiera learned shooting from her dad when she was 14. She liked gun shooting and once she practiced a lot to reach the pro level. Theodore was also there practicing with her back then. But after running away from home, she quit her practice. Once after a small aggressive attack of fans caused a lot of problems for Annabelle. After that incident, she decided to continue her gun shooting practice and soon bought a licensed gun though she didn't feel the need to buy this at that time. But she kept it always close to her, and come to think of it, now she is having a great benefit by using this. Megan's frightened expression was kind of priceless. And how about seriously making a hole in her head? It won't be that bad, right? That head of hers is the heaven of her evilness after all.
Kiera's murderous gaze was enough to make Megan tremble in fear. It was always like this. Whenever someone wanted to harm Anna, she would always come forward to take the action. When Anna was involved, she would always act like a witch and make the people against Anna go through living hell. She was like a hyena, protecting her child from all those wild animals. She was more like a bodyguard than a manager of hers.
"Do you know you are pointing your gun at whom?" Megan tried to use her last bit of courage.
"Don't test my patience, Megan. I don't like excuses. I don't care about your father and his connections. If I feel like killing you, I would just kill you without giving any second thought. I don't have so much time to think about the consequences. You do know, right? How much do I hate you….?" Kiera spelled those words which caused a shiver to run down Megan's spine.
Megan knew very well. She knew Kiera hated her as much as she hated Annabelle. There was a time when she was so desperate to pursue Kiera to be by her side and help her bring Anna down. After all, Kiera was the only one Anna believed after all of her friends left her. It would have been very easy to reach her goal if she could have Kiera's support as Anna herself never believed Megan despite considering her as a best friend.
Kiera had the power to win Anna's trust in a very short time, so it was quite predictable that she herself was a tough opponent. To think it, if she wants to, she would really pull the trigger without any hesitation and end Megan's life then and there. Looks like she has to lay low for some time. She can't risk her life for this, at least not now.
