Anna was preparing for the homy party today at Kiera's apartment just for the three of them. Though a while ago, she was quite nervous thinking Kiera would never allow her to do a party with Yujun at her home. But surprisingly, she agreed very willingly.
What happened to this icy queen all of a sudden? She never lets her mess with her apartment, but now suddenly playing the role of Florence Nightingale or something?
Whatever, actually there's no loss for Annabelle in this whole part thing.
Little did Annabelle know that Kiera was so cooperative about the whole thing just because of a definite reason. Driving all the way here alone was more than risky for Anna. But she didn't nag at her this time just because she was preparing herself to pursue Anna about something.
It was just like the old times. She always had a hard time pursuing Annabelle on matters like this. But how should she bring it up? Or should she just let her find out on her own?
Kiera's thoughts couldn't go any further as the doorbell interrupted them. Someone was clicking the bell with their all might as if they came here to break the whole doorbell. Kiera held her head in frustration as Anna smiled towards her apologetically.
If it was some other day, she would have nagged Anna for having such a weird friend. But today, she definitely can't do that. After all, she has to act the good. Looks like Kiera can't get a chance to choose things. Sigh. she is gonna find out on her own.
Anna went to get the door. When she opened the door, she found a grinning fool just before her. Anna rolled her eyes. Who would believe that he is the superstar Park Yujun? Looking at his tacky squid printed hoodie, she felt her duck printed apron was much better than this.
"Don't you have anything decent to wear in your closet?" Anna uttered frustratingly.
"Why? It looks so good on me. I bought this that day from the mall. Don't I look handsome in it?"
"Yeah, totally. It would have been better if you bought the orange color one than this bright green," Anna said as she imagined an orange pumpkin standing in front of her.
"Oh? I thought this one would look better so I didn't buy that," Yujun said as he felt a little dejected. A fashionista like Annabelle could know more about fashion than him as he always liked her fashion sense very much.
This time, Anna felt like she was talking with a complete fool. Orange color? Seriously? They even chose to keep this color in their shop for these tacky-looking hoodies. Yeah, of course. They need to keep these products for customers like Yujun once in a while. And this guy is so naive that he didn't even get her teasing.
Yujun barged into Kiera's apartment and zoomed towards the kitchen.
"Woah…! You made pasta? You remembered I liked pasta?" Yujun passed his expectant eyes towards Anna.
Anna scoffed a bit. She just likes to show off that her cooking skill is awesome. She didn't take any lessons or anything. It was just whenever she liked to eat something, she couldn't ask her mom for that because of their awkward relationship for a long time. She would always do some kitchen experiments by herself and one day she discovered that she somehow mastered this. Somehow, she found cooking more interesting than wasting time on beauty care and parlors like other rich girls.
"Yeah, I did. But not for you, I just felt like it. Why don't you stop eating these fast foods? Don't your manager nag you?" Anna bickered but subconsciously her eyes went over to Kiera.
Kiera was silent up until now standing in the corner as those two continuously bickered ignoring her. These two would always quarrel like children whenever they are together. Apart from Yujun's sudden proposal which was the reason they were awkward with each other for a few months, this friendship was always something envied by the crew team of the set. Neither Anna nor Kiera ever guessed that Yujun would have been harboring some feelings inside him for her. If their dear fans ever knew that two of them are like this in their personal life, they would surely make a huge ruckus about it. And this guy, Park Yujun, who knew he would be such a pumpkin in real life.
But what did Anna mean by his manager nagging? Suddenly, Kiera felt like it was directed to her.
"Hey, do I nag so much, huh?" Kiera said something for the first time after Yujun came.
Anna thought Kiera didn't notice her saying that but no, this time, luck wasn't on her side.
"No…. never! I was just asking Yujun if his manager nagged him or not. Right, pumpkin?"
Yujun was going to support her but changed his mind all of a sudden as Anna again called him pumpkin. Why does she always force herself to call him by a name that doesn't actually suit him? Such a handsome young man like him, how can he be compared to a mere fat vegetable? Should he show his toned body to her to make her believe that he is sturdy enough to not call him a fat vegetable? No, no, not a good idea. She will kick him out from here right away if he does something crazy like that.
"No, she is definitely talking about you, sister. My manager doesn't nag at me that much," Yujun snickered looking at Anna with a victorious smile.
But actually, Kiera became more irritated at him than Anna for calling her 'sister' than the other thing. Does he think he is very young, to begin with? How can he be still so popular among his fans when he is already freaking 27 years old?
"I knew it, you could never be my comrade," Anna punched him in his belly as she faked a hurt expression by the betrayal.
"That's not my fault. You were the one calling me pumpkin and making me mad, huh!"
"So what should I call a pumpkin then?" Anna scrawled a bit.
"Yeah, yeah! Let my brother join the party. Then he would judge what I am. He will surely help me out!" Yujun was already huffing and puffing as he was so irritated by the whole thing. Why does this girl always bully him whenever they meet? He doesn't even understand why he wanted to date this mad girl back then. But then again, no one knew better than him what kind of wonderful girl she was. She was always so irresistible to not love her. It was actually impossible. Being her friend was also not bad to be exact.
"Brother?" Annabelle was confused as she couldn't get what Yujun meant by this brother. As far as she knows she didn't invite anyone else.
"Yeah! Though I thought you won't invite him after what happened last time."
Yujun was more than curious about that but never got to know about the whole thing. Even when he asked his friend, he would dodge the whole matter. But it was clearly visible that something did happen between those two.
Anna looked more confused right now. But before she could ask Yujun further, the doorbell rang again.
"Go, go! Receive the door. My brother must be here."
Being a little confused as she didn't get what Yujun was actually saying, Anna opened the door.
Kiera held her breath. How would she react after seeing him? Suddenly Kiera felt so guilty as she didn't know what happened between these two but still did something like this without Anna's permission.
After opening the door, Anna didn't know what to do. After hearing Yujun say something irrelevant earlier, she kinda guessed who might have come to join them.
Why is he here? She thought he didn't like the idea of meeting her that much, right? Then why? And how dare Yujun call him here without her permission? She isn't ready yet to handle her past again. She ran away from those days, from both good and bad ones, she is still running away. Then why does he have to rub it on her face again like this?
How should she act in front of him? Should she say 'long time no see' or something? Or should she pretend not to know him like before? Then again, why would she even invite someone here who is definitely not close to her?
"Good evening, Miss Annabelle," He Jeamin smiled.
So, he learned to smile like this too? Maybe his line of work kind of made him does that. But she knows, he is not someone so good with smiles. And never had she seen him give this pretentious one ever. As if she doesn't know him, as if she still feels far away from him. What was it? Why it feels so sad to see this occur when she already guessed this kind of situation more or less before.
"Good evening, Mr….. He, right?" Anna smiled back at him too, pretending to forget his name.
"It hurts when m'lady forgets my name."
"Oh no! Of course not! Actually, I have to remember so many names a day that sometimes a few slip my mind."
Both Kiera and Yujun were shocked to see them greet each other as if they were flirting. What happened to them all of a sudden? Did they miss some part? Why does it feel like they are left behind by those two?
