12 - Part D:
Here we are at the beach all lined up like soldiers ready to fight.
Well that's what we trained for yesterday to line up like soldiers in those war movies.
As for the fighting, well... We decided to just do whatever since we don't have much time to train for organized combination attacks.
Besides, this battle is just a show to cover up our scheme.
I hope that the teachers will enjoy it.
By the way, all of us here knows is just a stage play although we didn't tell them about the scheme just to play safe.
I hope will be convincing enough.
As for the enemies on front of us who are all lined up like soldiers as well, some of them have blood thirsty looks on their faces like those psychopathic terrorists in those Espionage movies.
I guess those guys are from class eight.
Better take them out first since they'll surely take this seriously.
I look for the "ha ha ha" girl to see if she's there but couldn't find her anywhere.
I guess she doesn't want revenge.
Anyway, our signal to start is when the sun reaches it's peak and that will be twelve o' clock which is a minute from now.
This waiting for the sun thing start the battle kinda reminds me of a medieval themed movie I watched when I was kid.
Sadly, I don't know the title of that movie.
The sun has now reached it's peak and we run towards each other while screaming like barbarians.
"Yaaaaaaah!"
"Aaaaaaaaargh!"
"Roooooooooooaaaaaaaar!"
I think that was a little bit overboard.
We finally reach the enemy and start killing each other.
Bam* Bzzzt* Voom* Bang* Ratatatata* Chuchuchuchuw* Pepepepepew* Pew* Voosh* Boom*
I approach one of the students from class eight and beat him by repeatedly attacking with punches and kicks with a little shock treatment.
Bzzt* Bzzt* Bzzt* Bzzt* Bzzt*
His barrier got shattered and was carried away by a repairbot.
After that, I went towards another student from class eight and hit him with a compressed air punch.
Pak* Woosh*
He was sent flying backwards along with his classmates beside him.
All of a sudden, someone shot me at my right shoulder.
Bang*
I don't know who it was nor do I care since the goal of this battle is that everyone will get their barrier shattered except for a certain two.
Little by little, our numbers are decreasing so as the wavebots hovering above us.
Soon after, there are only five left on the beach and that's Ace, Wren, Eri and her two goons.
As for me, my barrier shattered when someone shot me with a Beam Rifle and I was carried away by a repairbot to some invisible floating base above the tropical island.
So this is where everyone who go beaten go.
As arrive at the base, I was brought to a room by Louise.
I'm surprised to see her here.
Inside the room, there are ten charge station for our I.D.D (Information Display Device) a hanging bench and four holoscreens at the center and air conditioning unit.
Compared to the hellish heat outside, I gotta say this is heaven.
There, I saw my classmates who were carried away by the repairbots like me watching the holoscreen.
I greet them casually.
"Sup everyone!"
They greet me back.
"Yo!" (Lokki)
"Sup man!" (Roc)
"Woah dude! You got killed too?" (Zack)
"Nice of you to join us my dear." (Mathias)
"Bwahahahahaha! You're dead! You're dead!" (Maple)
"Hello to you too Linel." (Aeris)
After that, I took off my I.D.D that's wrap around my right wrist and place it at an available charge station.
Once your barrier shatters, the I.D.D battery becomes dead and without this gizmo, the barrier of the suit can't generate.
I.D.D is the one who provides energy for the barrier to generate and shows the life gauge.
So the more we receive damage, the more energy of the I.D.D is wasted which is the life line of the barrier.
Though when our barriers get shattered and our I.D.D shuts down, our multi-purpose combat suit activates an emergency power that generates a temporary barrier in case we get hit though it doesn't last long.
There are other function of the I.D.D besides showing the life gauge of your barrier like intercoms and surfing the uninet but for some reason, they're disabled.
Why am I explaining to myself?
Anyway, after I placed my I.D.D on the charging station, I took a seat at the hanging bench beside Aeris for no apparent reason and watch the footage that the holoscreen is displaying.
For some reason, Aeris cheeks reddens a bit.
It must be exhaustion from all the fighting.
The footage that the holoscreen is displaying is the live footage of the battle that's going on at the beach.
Wren and Ace are battling it out with Eri and her goons.
Eri synthesis a bunch of mini geyser at Wren while Wren tries to parry it with her fire bolts.
Shshshsshhsh* Boooosh*
The geyser over powers the fire bolts and Wren was hit.
That's the natural outcome since water beats fire.
I wonder what Wren thinking was trying to beat water with fire.
Wren barrier shatters and she was carried away by a repairbot.
As for Ace side, she's having a fierce battle with the three goons who are holding melee weapons.
A boy with a red Plasma Dagger tries to stab Ace but she dodges his attack and slashes him with her ice blades.
Voom* Slash* Slash* Tsk*
The boy's barrier was shattered and he is carried away by a repairbot.
A girl suddenly jumps and execute a vertical slash with her plasma spear.
Voom*
Since Ace saw that coming, she dodges her attack and execute a counter attack by hitting her back with her elbow.
After that, she dissolves her ice blades, grab the girl from the back, synthesize an ice dagger and stab her neck.
Pierce*
Now that's a cool yet scary move.
The girls barrier shatters and she was carried away by a rapairbot.
Suddenly, a boy tries to attack Ace from behind by slashing her with his blue Plasma Saber.
Ace was able to sense him and quickly execute a side step to doge his attack.
After that, she synthesize an ice staff, crouches and swings it at his leg which mad him fall to the ground.
After that, she dissolves her ice staff, synthesize a pair of ice blades and stabs him.
Pierce*
The boy's barrier shatters and he was carried away by a repairbot.
(Note: If youre wondering why it only took few attacks for their barrier to shatter, it is because that their barrier's life gauge is about 10 %.)
Now there's only Ace and Eri left just according to our scheme.
Wren who got beaten has now just entered this room with a scowl on her face.
Everyone greets but she ignores us.
She takes out her I.D.D and place it on free charging station.
After that, she took a sit beside me.
At all places to sit, why here?
Anyways, before they execute the final step of the scheme, they have to put on a show first.
So that's what they did.
Eri synthesize a geyser at Ace.
Shshshshshsh*
Ace quickly synthesize an ice wall to block her attack.
Ching* Splash
After that, Ace jumps out of in the open, synthesize an ice blade on her right hand and rushes towards Eri.
Eri tries to hit Ace with a geyser.
Shshshshsh*
Ace quickly hit the brakes and synthesize an ice wall to block her attack.
Ching* Splash*
After that, she jumps out in the open and runs towards Eri.
Eri seems to notice that her attacks are useless so she tries a different attack.
She synthesize a bunch small water balls and launches it towards Ace.
The water balls soar through the air so fast that they're like bullets but Ace inhuman reflexes kicks in and she was able to dodge them by executing an aerial cartwheel like a ninja in those martial art movies.
Pew* Pew* Pew* Pew*
After she synthesize and ice dagger and throws it at Eri.
Pheew*
Eri synthesize a fire bolt to parry the ice dagger.
Boosh*
The fire bolt collides with the ice dagger and explodes.
Boom*
So Eri can use combustion synthesis.
After that Ace throws another dagger while running towards Eri.
Pheew*
Then again Eri parries it with a fire bolt.
Boosh* Boom*
Am I experience Deja vu or have I seen this tactics before.

They did this repeatedly until Ace finally reaches Eri.
As Ace was near Eri, she put the ice on her throat.
"It's over!"
She said in a cool manner.
"Is it?"
Eri asked.
Suddenly, a thorn shape water appears out of nowhere behind Ace and the sharp looking tip is pointing at her back in point blank range.
"I see... I guess there will be no winner then."
Ace said in a cool manner.
"My comrades efforts will be in vain if there's no victor so how about we settle this in a different manner?"
Eri suggested.
"And what do you suggest?"
"A race."
"A race?"
"We both take each others flags and run back to our base as fast as we can. Whomever reaches their base first wins."
"Sounds interesting!"
Ace dissolves her ice blade.
Eri disperse her water thorn.
"So you agree to do this little race?"
Eri asked.
Ace picks up class 4's flag and responds to her question sarcastically.
"What do you think?"
Eri reacts positively.
"I'll take that as a yes."
After that, she walks towards our flag that's pierced upright on the sand.
As she was near it, she picks it up and face Ace.
"Are you ready?"
She asked.
"Yup!"
Ace responded.
Both of them went into a sprinting position.
After few seconds, they dash off.
