Chapter 83: Magni

So...

How do you build a cabin?

Enychta is not a lumberjack, so he isn't proficient with the art of cutting down trees, neither he is a carpenter, proficient with the art of... carpentry, but he is a man with ambition, and that ambition is having a home of his own where he can sleep naked beside his two lovers, who would be lying with him in the same bed without clothes after their vigorous "work out" sessions... Oh no, he is daydreaming about the future again, better focus on the matter at hand before thinking about the future!

The first step to build a cabin inside the camp is to probably get the permission of the camp's director, the God of Wine, Theater, Parties, and other shit, the pansexual icon: Dionysus. Enychta sighed at that... Dionysus needs to permit him or else everything he built would simply be destroyed by another God and they might even take it as a "disrespect" or some shit like that! So, Enychta simply walked up to Dionysus and the following conversation was what legitimately happened:

"Hey, Lord Dionysus, can I build a cabin here?"

"Meh. Do whatever you want kid, I don't care enough about this place to stop you."

"Neat."

And like that, Enychta received the license to build, one of the major licenses in this world, along with the license to fish, license to drive, and the license to kill- *cough* Jokes aside, Enychta was pretty excited to build his very own home, and what's better than to have help!? Walking up to the Hephaestus cabin, he could see the tall and big children of Hephaestus, some had some hideous scars, and even some other skin problems, but Enychta didn't care! He had eaten worse things before, his stomach was very strong. When Enychta approached them, the children of Hephaestus first thought was: 'New weapon?'

The reason was that most of the other children would search for the older children of Hephaestus only to repair or create new weapons for them, sometimes even custom weapons or other things, some people couldn't be in their presence because of their appearance, even though some of them aren't affected by Hephaestus curse and have a normal appearance to human standards, some of them are affected. Because when Hera threw Hephaestus out of Olympus because of his ugliness, she also cursed him to have ugly children as well, because she is a bitch.

But oh, the curse was not that strong because it doesn't affect most children of Hephaestus.

As soon as they noticed the tall, muscular frame, broad shoulders, short black hair, and some scars on the skin, they could all determine that Enychta was an experienced warrior! But as soon as they saw his purple eyes that looked like a galaxy, they all had the same thought at the same time: 'Oh, it's the Beast...' His nickname was well known among the Demigods because not only was he the son of a Primordial Goddess, a very rare thing, he was also capable of shapeshifting into monsters, as he showed that to everyone when he transformed into a Chimera that day on the Campfire Gathering, he was easily one of the strongest Demigods here on camp! If he came here, does it means he wants a weapon!?

If there is something the children of Hephaestus are good at, is creating things! They also love to do it, and when making a weapon, the stronger the fighter is, the stronger the weapon needs to be because if it is too weak, the weapon would break by the owner's own strength, it's a little difficult to regulate the strength of Celestial Bronze, but also a great chance to practice! Soon enough, the representative of the children of Hephaestus, or in this case the Cabin's Counselor, a tall young man that Enychta didn't recognize... The man was tall, had tanned skin that resembled Enychta's skin tone a little bit as well, he had large shoulders and was packed with muscles, his face, however, has a large scar that looked to be from a burn, probably acid...

He had only one eye, making Enychta ponder how he lost his other one, the guy looked to be tough and maybe would be a great fight, but most of the Hephaestus cabin didn't like to fight much and preferred to simply work on crafting...

"What can I help you with?" His voice was as low as Enychta's voice, which was impressive in itself, but his voice was very distinguishable from this man's voice. "I came here because I am lacking help for a project of mine... A cabin, for the Primordial Goddess of the Night, Nyx, my mother. She claimed me, however, I have no place to stay as my home." Enychta gave a short answer but giving some details, he needed to leave Zeus's cabin because he felt very uncomfortable there nowadays, which means Zeus is rejecting him there and only didn't strike him down due to his relationship with his daughter... Or maybe because of Nyx, who wants the wrath of a Primordial God after all?

"Oh." Was the response he received, after the man hummed before looking at cabin 9, the cabin of Hephaestus, the God of Forge, and nodded while counting on his fingers a little. "Well, you came to the right place for help, do you have the blueprint of the cabin you want to build ready, or shall we wait here for a while?" Enychta smiled a little, his canines being exposed as he grinned, pleased he had now help from others. "Well, I'll ask the Athena Cabin for help In the architecture of the cabin, I'll come back later to show you the blueprints. Don't worry, I'll pay you... How about an enchanted hammer for each one of you?"

This made some of them really excited.

Although Enychta was rather easy enchanting things, it takes years for someone to learn how to correctly enchant things without causing the enchanted object to simply explode! The children of Hephaestus had an easier time enchanting things, but it was also difficult for them. The cabin counselor raised his eyebrow in disbelief for a second, making Enychta sigh and pull out from his endless bag a small coin that ge enchanted with an [Light] enchantment. When he injected magic power on the coin, it simply began to glow in warm yellow light, making the man surprised as he looked at the simple symbol of [Light] engraved on the coin, it would take quite a while for someone to engrave this symbol on a small surface without making a single error, but apparently Enychta was a professional when it comes to runes.

"Well, we accept that." The guy smiled and extended his hand forward, Enychta grabbed his hand with a strong grip and both smiled at each other like predators would show their teeth to their prey before the merciful kill, they were both the same, complete beasts. "My name's Enychta Astérie. You?" Eny asked, a little curious because he could not recognize this person at all!

"The name's Jackson. Jackson Magni."

-Scene Ends-

Author Note:

Jackson is an OC and I made him because the oldest Hephaestus Cabin Counselor is Charles Beckendorf, and he is currently 10 years old. (Because he died when he was 18 and Percy was 15 when that happened, so I assume he is 3 years and some weeks or months older than Percy Jackson and Annabeth Grace).

In this novel, he is the oldest Hephaestus Cabin counselor, with 16 years.
