Finished the two mugs of beer, alone, Asteri returned to the tavern where he was staying at Allatu's. Opening the door of his room, Asteri sees Allatu writing a message to send for the greater succubus.
"Back already? Better so I'm very curious about what the paladin meant to you." Allatu says, sending the letter in the message transport ring.
"Didn't he tell you already? He wanted to thank me, how can you say he wanted to tell me things?" Asteri says approaching Allatu.
"Hmph, do you really think she's that stupid?" Allatu says turning his head to the side, snorting and folding his arms.
"Of course not my baby, I was just kidding you." Asteri says, grabbing her from behind her and gently kissing the back of her neck.
"Okay, I understand but now can you tell me what he told you?" Allatu says with a smile on her lips, pleased with Asteri's sweet kisses.
"Okay, he proposed that I join the Crusade of Light. But I turned down the proposal, it's definitely not for me." Asteri says touching Allatu's hair.
"Did he propose to join his order of him? How strange, usually they only enlist religious believers or fanatics, you are not that type, most likely he wanted you for your strange power." guess Allatu.
"Exact." confirms Asteri.
"Better that way, The Crusade of Light isn't having a good time now, get out of their business." recommends Allatu.
"How come? Costa is going through right now?" Asteri asked curiously.
"Well right now it is as if it were split in two, on one side the paladin with the highest rank of all, the Lord of Light Tirion. And the ideal figure of the most precise paladin there is, a good man is right that he follows only the law of justice and protects the weakest. On the other hand the Grand Bishop Choíros, if Tirion is the paladin with the highest rank Choíros is the priest with the highest rank in the order. And much acclaimed by believers as he is a charitable person is very sympathetic to the poorest and injured, but ... "Allatu interrupts.
"That's not what it looks like, right?" Asteri ends.
"Exactly, he wants to look like this but in reality he is a scum, I don't know a lot of things because it wasn't me who investigated but I know that he is not the man he wants to make it appear to be." Allatu said in disgust.
"So one side of the order is on Tirion's side and the other on Choíros?" Asteri asks.
"Not like that, precisely most of the order is from the people he is on Choíros's side, the bastard has worked hard to gain the people's trust ... he has most likely been helped by someone. Tirion is too busy at the front to talk to believers every day. " Allatu says.
"It's a very complex situation ... who knows which side John is on ..." Asteri wonders curiously.
"I don't know, but it's certainly not our problem, all those people are only capable of worshiping the Holy Light." Allatu says stew.
"You don't really like those people ehh ..." Asteri says.
"It is normal, they are one of our worst and testable enemies, even if a devil minds his own business they must still interfere because we are not benevolent beings." Allatu says stew.
"Okay then stop talking about the Crusade of Light. Now we have to think about taking another mission from the guild." Asteri suggested.
"Do we do mission after mission? Do we not remarry, only me is you?" Allatu said seductively moving her finger over him and down on Asteri's chest.
"No, we have to continue it's not that we're so tired, strength is courage." Asteri says, getting up.
"Mmmmm alright." says Allatu room.
The two left the room and headed for the guild. Around you can see a lot of people excited and in turmoil, and almost everyone has a paper in their hand. Asteri intrigued by this, he approaches one of them under Allatu's gaze.
"Excuse me sir, what are you reading?" Asteri asks.
"Oh, hi boy, do you want to know what I'm reading? Look here." the gentleman shows the sheet.
"Ooooo look what a coincidence ..." Asteri says turning to Allatu.
Allatu shrugs without knowing what Asteri was talking about.
"Apparently our paladin Tirion was accused of true treason the emperor and ignored the orders he was given." Asteri says pointing to the sheet.
On the sheet it is written that the Lord of Light Tirion has left for the continent of Lámpsi with two thousand paladins in his wake. It seems that doing so may cause hostilities between the two reigning Empires of the two continents, which have been allies for many years.
"He must have had good reasons for doing such a thing if he's the person you told me he was." Asteri says.
"Already I feel the hand of that scum of the Bishop." Allatu speculates.
"Most likely, but as you said before it's not our problem, let's go to the guild." Asteri says starting to walk towards the guild headquarters again.
By now everyone had received the news of the crime of the Lord of Light. Even among the adventurers there was a lot of confusion, many were also sad most likely they were fans of Tirion.
"This Tirion was well known ..." Asteri says.
"He is not very recognized by the people, he is beggars, but he has the esteem of many adventurers and soldiers from all over the Empire." Allatu says.
The duo enters the venue heading towards Thalia's counter.
"Hello my dear Thalia, how are you today?" Asteri says with a smile.
"O-oh Asteri, it's you. All right thank you ..." Thalia says, it seems that she is a bit dejected today.
"What happened? Do you look low in spirits?" Asteri asked curiously.
"Nothing really, just a slight headache." she says with a forced smile.
'Something wrong.' thinks Asteri.
'Already I can see it too, boy.' Aurelion says.
