Chapter 47: Seven Days

Sabrina’s POV

The first day was the hardest. I couldn’t get out of bed for anything besides using the bathroom. I couldn’t eat and I didn’t feel like showering. All I wanted to do was lie in bed, listen to sad music and cry.

Dylan would check in on me several times throughout the day to ask if I wanted anything to eat or to see if I wanted to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Each time I declined his offer, I could see the worry deepening within him. It’s not his fault, I know he’s trying to help me in my time of need.

On the first day, I couldn’t even tell him what happened because the wound was still raw, and I was trying to make sense of everything that I had learned . There’s a lot to unpack, so I didn’t want to unload onto Dylan until I had come to terms with everything first.
