Continuing on the previous chapter, Jane Eyre shows us a lowly governess can win the heart of a privileged employer through Love. Love transcends class, status barriers. Ickapoo can thus overcome his loneliness by not seeing humans as lesser being and mingling with beings who may be more different than similar to him.
