{Maccillian's POV 10 minutes later}

Lili suddenly passing out was a surprise, but we worked with it. Though Hestia got on my case for 'kidnapping' her, and then making her cry. But that last one wasn't MY fault. How was I supposed to know Lili would just crash?

Though after a bit, she started to groggily wake up, and when she did, she just blinked as she looked around the room.

Hestia was by her side, playing with Trix.

Shizuka had Lili in her lap, still hugging her.

And I was on the other couch with Houndoom and Mari.

Bell had gone off to show Saeko and Rika his aura. Though mostly Rika, he was still nervous around Saeko.

When Lili woke up, Hestia and Shizuka noticed the moment she did, and they started fussing over her. "Are you okay? Do you need anything? We've got water, cheese, food, whatever you need... You ARE ok, right?" Lili looked at Hestia, and I saw her debating whether to shrink into Shizuka, or answer.

"Lili is ok... Just very very confused... And surprised." Shizuka squealed at that.

"Third person! Silver, she talks in third person! She's like Asami, but cuter!" Oh yeah. I forgot Asami still did that.

Lili squeaked as Shizuka hugged her tighter, but Hestia just sighed in relief. "That's good, I thought SOMEBODY." She stared at me as she said that. "Brought home and hurt a child." I just raised my brow at that.

"Again, I have no idea why you'd think that. I think you should know me by now Tiny." She rolled her eyes at that.

"I do. But when you suddenly show up with someone shorter than ME, who then starts crying a few seconds later, I think you could see where the whole doubting thing comes from. Right?" I mean, I knew she had a point. But again, how was I supposed to know Lili would do that? "But back to her." Hestia turned back to Lili, who had a smile on her face from the way Shizuka was cuddling her, think cheek to cheek rubbing thing from anime. "So, who are you anyway?" Shizuka stopped cuddling with Lili, and let the smol supporter talk.

Lili looked confused still, but she was happier. Shizuka recognized an affection starved child when she saw one. "Lili is a supporter from the Soma familia Lady goddess." That made Hestia blink, and she whipped her head over to me.

"THAT'S WHY YOU SMELL LIKE WHINE!" I snorted at that, but nodded.

Shizuka and Lili were looking at me now too, and Shizuka looked betrayed. (I might've made a mistake getting her 'acquainted' with alcohol.) I shooed that thought away. "Yeah. I got... I guess you could say, fined again. I decided to raid Soma's after that." Lili went stiff at that, but Shizuka just started to pat her head. It helped calm her down, and Lili practically melted into her arms. Her ears and tail even came out, and that made Shizuka squeal in absolute delight.

"THAT'S IT! I'M KEEPING HER SILVER! ADOPTION IT IS!" Huh...

"Ok... Adoption... Surprise adoption... That's what I did! I didn't 'kidnap' her. It's surprise adoption!" Hestia just gave me the flattest look I think I've ever gotten from ANYONE, and just looked away. "Yeah... ANYWAY. I raided Soma's wine, got tipsy for a minute, new achievement, and now we got a... understanding? I'll be dropping by his place to help him make better wine."

Despite Shizuka's petting, Lili's eyes went wide, and she glared at me. She even tried to break free from Shizuka's grasp, which surprised her. "What's wrong?" Lili couldn't break out, but she did manage to point at me, and almost outright snarl at me. I didn't have the submission or recognition parts of my aura active, so she wasn't compelled against that.

"HIM! That wine! Why?! Why are you helping him with that wine!?" I idly remembered that she had a whole thing against the wine, and shrugged. I could deal with this before she blew up.

"One, I can't get drunk because of my healing factor. Two, I want good wine and alcohol. Three, if you hate it so much, then leave his familia." Lili glared at me, as much as a tiny Pallum currently in the lap of Shizuka could.

"Lili CAN'T! Lili wants to leave, to be free! But Lili can't be fr...-"

"Want me to tell Soma to let you leave then?" And just like that, her fire was gone. Her mouth just hung open as she stared at me.

We all just let Lili process that, and I gave Houndoom some quality scratches. "Why? Why would you go so far for Lili?" I shrugged.

"No reason not to. Besides, I feel like it." She just stared at me, and Hestia hummed. She shot me a grin, and then looked back at Lili.

"What he means is that he's a big softie and likes doing good things." My eye twitched.

"Mhm, mhm. Silver's the biggest softie ever! And his fur's just as soft as he is!" My ears twitched along with my eye.

"I deny that! And mo grá, you know just how hard I can be." That made Hestia stiffen, and Shizuka started humming.

"Hm... True... We haven't had sex in a while actually? Silver?" Uh oh. MAYDAY MAYDAY! I've lost control of the conversation. "Next week?" I blinked at that, fully knowing what she was asking for, and nodded.

"Sure. Just us?" Shizuka thought about it, then nodded.

"Just us." That was fine by me.

With that said, I looked at the other women in the room, and saw Hestia burning up in a blush, almost ready to pass out, and Lili was just looking between Shizuka and I at neck breaking speeds. It was hilarious.

And per anime logic. "Godd...- Oh, hi everyone!" Bell came home. The scene of a fiercely blushing Hestia, a new girl in Shizuka's grasp and lap, and me just playing with the hounds. "Who's that?"I just snorted, and let Shizuka handle it.

Which was never a good thing now that I thought about it. And she showed me why when she thrust a confused Lili in Bell's direction, like she was a stuffed animal. "Daughter!"

""Huh?"" Lili and I having the same reaction probably didn't do me any favors.

Bell, Hestia, Lili and I all just stared at Shizuka. She looked far too happy to just pull this shit. "Surprise adoption. Silver's the daddy, I'm the mommy. Surprise!"

I just put my head in my hands, and groaned. "Karma? What have I done to deserve this?" Why wouldn't she take that literally? Shizuka just happily hummed to that, and I sighed again. Taking my head out of my hands, I looked at Shizuka and Lili by extension, and just gave up from the look Shizuka was giving me. It was the fucking puppy dog eyes. "I guess this is a thing now."

Lili just looked between me and Shizuka, and she just decided being conscious took too much energy.

The room was pure silence now, and was only ruined when Trix decided to go jump on Bell. "T-Trix nooo!" Yeah. This was going to be a long day.

{30 minutes later}

So a few things happened after that.

I decided to fuck off and pay Mia for reserving the hostess later, and took the time to think about Shizuka 'adopting' Lili. It was one of if not THE most out of left field thing she'd done in recent memory. (Though... I don't really see much against it? Lili's small, crafty, managed to survive Soma's shit hole, and I guess she was a good girl? What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?) I had no idea.

So I did the best thing in this situation. (LEAVE IT FOR LATER!) Out of sight out of mind and all that.

It helped, and I felt better after dropping off the money for Mia. We would head over to the hostess in an hour, so that gave me time.

But then the next thing happened. Shizuka had a talk with Lili, I wasn't sure what she said, but when I got back, I saw that her, Lili, and Hestia were hugging on the couch, both small women almost in tears.

I had no idea what the fuck I was supposed to do there, so I just shifted, walked in, and got turned into a therapy animal. I didn't ask what they talked about, and just let it happen.

After that was done, Bell came back with We...- (Excuse me? When the fuck did he meet Welf?)

"He... Why are there Hellhounds here?" Welf just looked at said hounds, and Bell just gave him a sheepish smile.

"Uh... Did I forget to tell you that?" Welf just looked at Bell, and shrugged.

"Yeah. But I haven't been mauled to death or had fire shot at me yet, so it's all good." Huh... That just reminded me of Yang.

Bell let out a sigh of relief, and looked at the girls and I. 'U-um... Is everything ok?" Hestia and Lili still had puffy eyes, so it was easy to tell they were crying earlier.

"It's fine Bell. Who's your friend?" She didn't know?

Bell looked ready to introduce Welf, but the good man himself did it for him. "Names Welf. Pleasure to meet ya Lady Hestia." He held his hand out, and Hestia went to shake it.

"OH! You're Hephaestus' kid! I think I heard her talk about you... I think... Probably." I snorted at that, and Hestia turned to pout at me.

"Hush you!" I shot Hestia a grin, and she pouted even more. "You know what!?" She started 'stomping' towards me, and when she got to me, I was laying on the couch by Shizuka's side, she started ruffling my fur. "Take this! And that! AND THEN SOME OF THIS!" I wasn't sure how ruffling my fur, then my ears, then scratching my chin was supposed to be a punishment, but I'd take it. "Yeah! Who's on top now huh Maccillian?!" I cracked open an eye, and raised a brow at her.

(Do I do it? Yes. Yes I do.) I shifted. And suddenly, Hestia was inches away from my face, and froze when she noticed that simple fact. In anime fashion, she went red from the neck up, and jumped back like a startled cat. I barked out a laugh, and I heard Shizuka giggling.

Hestia shakily got up, and started pointing at me with that embarrassed face of hers. "N-N-NOT FAIR!" I laughed even harder at that, and it was great.

"Huh... You don't see that everyday." I saw Welf just nodding as he said that, out of the corner of my eye.

And while he was technically right. "We do. We do it at least once everyday." Shizuka didn't care about technicalities.

Welf just blinked, and started nodding again. "Fair. Anyway, are we still on for that reservation?" I looked at the others, and shrugged when Hestia said she didn't mind. "Sweet... Are the Hellhounds coming with us?" Ah.

"Nope. Houndoom, Trix and Mari are going to one of my mates staying at the Loki familia." Welf blinked at the 'one of' part, but just took it in stride.

"Houndoom? Little on the nose there isn't it?" I snorted at that.

"You wouldn't get the reference." Welf blinked, then shrugged. After a 'whatever' for that, Welf turned to Shizuka and Lili, who was still in her lap, and they got the message.

"I'm Shizuka, hello! Say hi Lili." Said smol supporter just gave Shizuka an incredulous look, but turned to Welf after Shizuka just smiled at her.

"Lili is Lili. Hi." Welf just hummed, and waved at them.

From there, Welf talked with us, and I found out it was because of Saeko that Bell met Welf. She told him he'd do good with some kind of armor, preferably light, and with the funds and advice, Bell looked for light armor he liked. So thanks to Saeko beating Bell within an inch of... (Fucking hell, thinking about it like that just makes it sound worse then it actually was.) That thought aside, thanks to Saeko and I, we ended up bringing the party together before cannon even started. (Wonder how this will go.)

We talked some more, and when it was time, we grabbed our money, and left the church.

After locking up, and sending the hounds on their way to Rika, we started the walk to the hostess. Despite the earlier teasing, Hestia was perched on my shoulder, which she still claimed as her property.

Shizuka seemed to follow my example, since Lili was riding on her shoulders, like a literal child, and it made Shizuka happy. Bell and Welf didn't say anything to this, I don't think they knew what to say in Welf's case, and Bell was probably used to Hestia being on my shoulders and didn't mind Lili being on Shizuka's. Though I was interested in how Lili was taking her 'surprise adoption' as well as she was.

I expected resistance, some kind of disagreement. Anything really.

But after leaving for a bit, and then coming back to the earlier scene, Lili practically took to Shizuka like she was her actual family. (I mean, no one can hate Shizuka. It's physically impossible. But there's gotta be SOME kind of limit... Right?) I thought about it some more, then just shook my head. (Doesn't matter. I'll just ask her about it later.)

"Maccilliaaan. Don't shake your head with me here!" I rolled my eyes at that. "Don't do that either! And I know you're going to snort, you're forbidden to do that too!" I just looked up at Hestia, stared into her eyes, which made her blush a bit, and snorted. She huffed at that, and started attacking my ears again. "I'll show you! Take this!" She gave good scratches, I'd easily admit that.

"You know, I don't think I've ever seen someone tease their god/goddess before." I heard Welf, but didn't see who he was talking to. Though considering his options, it was probably Bell.

"Mhm. Sir and Lady Hestia have a great relationship. We all do." And he was right. Now I didn't know where Lili fit in this equation, but I would find out later.

"Hoh? So you tease the little lady too?" Bell stammered, and Welf just chuckled at that. "That answers that." Bell groaned, and Welf outright laughed.

We kept going, and after a bit, we made it to the hostess. There was a sign that said 'reserved' and I didn't hear the usual bustle of the bar. I nodded at that, thankful Mia didn't fucking rob me, and reached up to Hestia. "Alright. Off you go." Hestia groaned, and just looked like a sad cat as I brought her back to the ground. I had an opportunity, and smirked as I took it. Hestia saw my smirk, and after a week of teasing, knew what was coming. "What? You want to keep riding me? Oh Hestia, how daring." She lit up like a Christmas tree, and ran into the hostess.

"NOPE! NOT DEALING WITH THIS!" I, and surprisingly enough, Welf laughed at that. I gave him a look, and he held out his fist. Oh yeah. He was a bro.

Giving Welf a fist bump, and then walking in, we saw Hestia pouting at us, probably me really, and holding a menu. Chloe, Ryuu and Syr were by Mia, and the host herself was just looking at me with a raised brow. I met her look, as everyone went over to Hestia's table. "What?"

Mia just kept her brow raised, and waved her hand at Hestia. "The hell did you do?" I shrugged.

"Teased her." Mia and her girls just looked at me, and I shrugged. "Anyway. I'll take the good meat again, and some alcohol." Mia nodded at me, and they got to work.

I went over to the table, and sat between Shizuka and Hestia. For Shizuka, she had Lili by her side.

Lili had Welf by her side.

Welf was by Bell's.

Hestia was next to Bell.

And now I was next to Hestia and Shizuka.

"Alright, let's get this party started, yeah?" Shizuka cheered, and Welf cheered with her. I noticed he practically fit in right away, and I approved. "So, while you guys order, what's on the table to talk about for now?"

Welf and Bell shared a look, and Welf shrugged. "Bell over here wants me to join his party, and I don't see why not." Oh?

We looked at Bell, and he nodded at me. "Welf makes great armor, and I think I need to find more people if I want to keep diving. You told me about Ruby, and that she has a team, so if I'm going to be a hero, I need a team of my own. A party." Made sense.

""Ruby?"" Welf and Lili, the new ones.

"Makes sense. Even though she's really really cute, that girl's cool." Hestia really took a liking to her, and I REALLY wanted to see how that meeting would go.

"Right! Silver? Did you bring your scroll?" I nodded, and fished it out of my pocket. I practically never left it at home anymore. "Ou! Show them the video!"

I had to look at her for that. "... Which video is THE video?" I had no idea.

Shizuka gestured for me to give her my scroll, and I did. I had no clue how long she'd be searching for, so I just looked at the rest of the table.

Hestia and Bell finished ordering, Welf and Lili were staring at my scroll, Lili was practically plastered to Shizuka's side, and Ryuu was coming over with my food. She looked neutral as she did, but I saw the interest in her eyes as she looked at my scroll. "Cinder Buffalo meat and alcohol as ordered." Grabbing my food, I hummed as I just cut a piece with my claws, skewered it, and brought it to my mouth. Who needed knives and forks when your claws could be both?

I was just happily chewing, not paying any mind to the others' orders, when Shizuka found the video. "Aha! Here it is!" We all, Ryuu had gone back, turned to Shizuka. I looked at what video she wanted, and blinked when I noticed what it was.

"To be fair, I kind of forgot I had that." Shizuka just hummed as she set my scroll on the table, and pressed play.

The video started out in the Rose/Xiao-Long house, and we could see Ruby running around the room, chasing Zwei, in her wolf form. "Okay Rubes, can you maybe not crash into the wall again?" Yang was recording, and Yin was by her side on the couch.

Ruby just barked at Yang, and we heard Yin snort. "'Forget about it?' Ruby, that was literally yesterday. How would we forget that?" Ruby barked at Yin again, and Yang laughed.

"She might have a point there sis. Like, I know I'M horrible in class, but at least I didn't forget we had a test the day after we heard about it." A smack to Yang's shoulder shook the camera, but Yang just laughed.

"I told you I went dungeon diving that night! How was I supposed to remember a test when I just kicked a vampire's ass?" Yang just snorted at that.

"Oh I don't know. Maybe write it down? 'We write notes for a reason Yang.' Remember that?" Yin just huffed, and was about to say something. But when there was a sound of something crashing into something else, they focused back on Ruby... Who had her body sticking out of the closest wall. Zwei was standing on said wall like a ninja, and just chortling at Ruby. "RUBES! What'd I say?! Now we gotta tell dad to fix it again!" There was a bark from Ruby, and the sisters just groaned. "Can't you just shift back?" Ruby barked again, and did just that.

After crawling back out, she grumbled and pointed at Zwei. "ZWEI! I said wall walking was cheating!" Said little rascal just barked at Ruby, and she groaned. Since Zwei was one of the smartest dogs we've met, he could actually talk with his barks. A fact the Ruby/Xiao-Long household was both happy and annoyed at.

It turned out he was a very sarcastic little bastard. "Wall sticking is cheating too!" The twins and Zwei laughed, and the video ended there. Shizuka handed me back my scroll, and I tucked it away.

Hestia was the first to react. "Did that dog really stick to the wall? What kind of world..?" Sure she might've said that, but she had a smile on her face that showed how amusing the whole thing was.

"You know... I don't know what I expected when I came to hang out with you guys, but I didn't think It'd be anything like this." Welf had a point. He literally dropped down our rabbit hole, without time to get used to us. But it was what it was.

"Lili doesn't know what's happening... But that was very cute." Shizuka nodded, like that was some life changing knowledge, and patted Lili's head, much to the enjoyment of the little supporter. "Hehehe." I was definitely going to ask how she got her so attached already. Just not now.

Bell didn't say anything, but he had a smile on his face. He wasn't blushing or anything, so that was an improvement... I think. After that, the rest of the orders came in, and we started to eat.

I didn't know how long it was, but after a bit, the topic of Bell's party came up. "Oh yeah, Bell?" We all looked at Hestia, who was munching on something I didn't know the name of. "Any ideas on who else you want in your party?" It was a good question.

Bell took a bit to think, and just hummed. "I don't know. We don't need a harvester or a tamer, but I know we need a supporter." Lili subtly flinched at that. No one, other than Shizuka and I, noticed it though. "Though someone with magic, or a healer other than Ms. Shizuka, would be good too. But I'm not sure how the rates go... It's 50/50 right? Or do supporters, rangers, and healers go for different rates?" Lili was paying REAL close attention to this now. I wasn't sure how they didn't remember Lili's giant bag by the door, but I remembered we never said it was hers in the first place.

"Yeah. Should be 50/50. Contracted members have the same rate, unless they formally join the party and change it from there." That was an interesting tidbit, but I didn't really care. Welf took a sip of his drink, and looked at Bell after. "Any problems though Bell?"

Bell himself shook his head, an action that surprised Lili. "No. Just still thinking about where we'll find a supporter or other party members. Miss Saya said party composition and synergy is important, so we can't get just anyone because they fill the role." Sounded like something she'd say.

I looked at Lili, who somehow noticed, and I saw the indecision in her eyes. I didn't push it, and just shook my head. She didn't NEED to do it right this moment. Lili looked grateful, and went back to Shizuka's petting.

The rest of the night was all of us just relaxing, and getting to know Welf. It was great.

After an hour of relaxing, where Eina DID join us for a bit, we left the hostess, with my satchel being noticeably lighter. I grumbled a bit at that, but it was what it was. (I hate having money again.)

Hestia was on my back this time, drunk since she decided to drink a lot, and I was dealing with a very affectionate goddess. I wasn't complaining, just noticing she was like Shizuka when they were both drunk. It was adorable considering she was practically holding onto me like she was a koala. (A human sized koala but still a koala.)

Though speaking of Shizuka, she was carrying a passed out Lili on her back, just like I was with Hestia. She looked so content carrying Lili, and it brought a smile to my face.

Bell and Welf were leaning on the other, since Welf was tipsy, and we were all on our way home.

Though at one point, Bell split off to help bring Welf home, so it was just me and the girls heading home. Shizuka and I didn't say much, we just walked home, but we didn't really need to talk. We could both tell we enjoyed the night, and were happy.

When we made it back to the church, and after putting Hestia and Lili to bed, where Hestia started cuddling with Lili, Shizuka and I went to the living room. We were on the couch, and she just cuddled into me. And since it was just us, I had the chance to ask her what I was wondering about. "So, how'd you end up getting her so comfortable with you?"

Shizuka just hummed for a few seconds, and I waited on her answer. "I promised her to love and protect her. She needs it, and I want to give it." Huh... That'd do it.

But at the same time. "Why do you want to adopt her anyway?" Shizuka looked at me at that, and I mean REALLY looked. She was serious about her next answer, and that in itself was telling.

"She's a child, Silver. But I could see it. She was lost, hurting, damaged. Children shouldn't have to feel those things. I'm going to do my best to make her happy, just like Hestia and Bell. She's going to get the world, no matter what." I held her gaze, and smiled. She smiled back, and the serious light in her eyes went away. "And she's just adorable." I snorted. She was right though.

"True... Well then... Looks like I'm going to be a dad... Yay?" Shizuka giggled, and after a bit, got up. I just raised a brow at that, but followed her when she tugged me to follow after her.

We ended up in Hestia's room, where she was still cuddling with Lili, who I noticed was awake. She turned to the both of us, and I figured she probably heard us. Shizuka just gave Lili the warm smile that's usually reserved for me and the girls, and the Remnant crew, and went over to the bed.

With the renovations, we expanded the church, and now it had beds big enough for multiple people.

Shizuka crawled over to Lili's side, and encased her in a hug. Lili didn't fight it, and practically melted into it. I smiled at the sight, had a thought about how Lili was practically the filling of a busty sandwich, and was about to head out. But Shizuka stopped me. "Silver. Shift." I just raised a brow at her, but did it anyway. She used her chin to point to Hestia's side, and I shrugged.

(Might as well. It's prime tease material too.) I trotted over to the bed, jumped onto it, and curled my body around the three of them since I was big enough to do it. Shizuka hummed a thanks, and promptly closed her eyes. Lili followed after her, and I did after her.

I heard Bell come back a few minutes later, but he just went over to his room as soon as he did. That was fine by me.

We went to sleep in a pile that night, and I took note of how Hestia shifted around, and eventually turned to cuddle me instead of Lili. (Oh yeah. Prime tease material indeed.) I grinned, and waited for her to wake up in the morning.

{The next morning, Hestia's POV}

When I started to wake up, I wished I didn't. My head hurt, and I just so didn't want to move. (Ugh... My head...) I felt hungover, and I knew I shouldn't have started drinking. But because of Loki, I kind of wanted some more alcohol. (Oh no... Am I becoming an alcoholic?) That thought almost made me jolt awake, but my hangover stopped me from moving too much.

I just wanted to stay in bed and curl into my pillow. Sure it might've been a little warmer and firmer than I re...- (Wait a minute.) I cracked open my eyes, and froze.

I wasn't holding onto my pillow. My eyes met my second child, who I was just noticing was bare chested, and looking at me with that look I KNEW came before being teased. "Morning Tiny. Did you enjoy last night?" The way he grinned, then WINKED at me was too much for me to handle first thing in the morning.

So I did the next best thing, which I knew rubbed off on me from him.

I ignored it and just rested my head against his chest. I don't think he was expecting me to do that, since he just went "Huh..." Then wrapped an arm around me. "Not what I was expecting."

I just groaned at that. "I'm too hungover and tired to react. Shaddup and let me sleep. I'll explode in embarrassment later." I felt him nod, then closed my eyes again.

"Fair... You do know I'm not going to let you live this down right?" I felt my cheeks burn hotter at that.

"I know..." He hummed at that, and I just took in my child's warmth. Sure it was the most embarrassing thing I think I'd ever done, but that was fine. "You're comfy when you're not a jerk." He snorted at that, and I felt him shake his head.

"You know you love it." I just groaned and didn't respond to that. He might've been a teeny tiny bit right about that.

I was used to gods bragging and trying to impress me to be with me. Like Apollo, who kept trying and trying, but I consistently rejected. But I wasn't used to being teased by someone who genuinely meant nothing behind it other than to tease and poke fun at me. Even as we were right now, just the two of us in my bed, he just held me without trying anything.

It was refreshing.

And if it all came from a handsome man that brought a new light into my life, then who was I to deny how much I liked it? "Actually... Where's Shizuka and Lili?" Feeling him hum was strange, but I liked it.

"Shizuka dragged her off to go show the rest of the girls. She and I quote said 'Want to show that I'm still number 1' to them. Not sure if I'd count that, but oh well." That was fine.

A more sober part of my mind recognized that meant we were the only ones... "Bell?"

"Welf. They went off to the dungeon to start working together." Ah, that made sense.

I just snuggled closer to Maccillian, and let go of whatever thoughts I had. Which eventually led to a sad one. (Why can't this last forever?) But I knew it couldn't. Not only was Maccillian a real world walker, but he was mortal. Even if, and it was a big if, I joined him whenever he left our realm, I'd eventually outlive them all... And that thought made me sadder than the first one.

Maccillian must've noticed, since he tapped my head with his free hand. But I didn't budge. I didn't want to look at him after those thoughts. "What's wrong Tiny?" The genuine concern in his tone made it worse. I finally had a familia, children that took away my loneliness... And one day, they wouldn't be there anymore. I could feel myself start to tear up at that thought, and I just held onto Maccillian a little tighter. He returned it, and I felt both of his arms wrap me up as he brought me close. "Ya gotta talk to me Hestia. What's wrong? Who do I need to send to hell? I don't mind blowing up a familia or two."

Despite how he said that as a joke, I could also tell he was telling the truth.

And that did it.

I cried again. I've only known him, Shizuka, Bell and the rest of his women for like a week... But they made everything so much better.

My home was brand new and better than ever.

I had children like them and Bell, that made home really feel like HOME.

Even the Hellhounds were great. Sure they were dungeon monsters, but they were also so well behaved because of Maccillian.

Shizuka had my fire, something that was so personal to a god or goddess, that it was almost like they were our actual children. Finding a child that could share an aspect of our divinity was one of the rarest things for us. (But she found me. She chose ME. THEY chose me. And it's been the best week of my life.) It really was.

And it'd all end one day.

I cried into Maccillian's chest, and he let me do it.

He let me cry, and after who knows how long, I finally mustered the courage to look at him. He was just giving me the softest face I'd ever seen on him. It was the look he reserved for Shizuka and his women, and I felt my heart flutter and ache at it. "Do you want to tell me about it? Or do you want some more time?"

I had to say it. I knew the answer that'd come from it, but I just needed to get it out. "I'm going to miss all of you... I don't want to lose any of you..." I said it, and even as I did, Maccillian's gaze stayed on me.

And it was because of that, that I saw the confusion in his eyes. "Why do you think you'll lose us?" Did he seriously not know?

"I'll outlive you. I'll outlive ALL of you... I'm a goddess Maccillian." I saw the recognition in his eyes, and I had to prepare myself for the acceptance.

But it didn't come. Maccillian looked at me, and he smiled. I didn't know why, but he did. "Hestia. The girls and I are immortal." My mind froze.

"W-what?" His answer was too good to be true.

But I knew.

It was the truth. The honest to god's truth.

And I just STARED at him. He smiled at me again, then turned thoughtful. "Well, I'm fully immortal. Can't get rid of me unless you toss me into space or something like that. The girls have 'minor immortality' so I don't know what the fuck that's supposed to do since we technically had that already... But you get the idea." And I did.

And by gods did that brush away so many worries. But I had another thought, and I had to voice it. "What about Bell? Lili?" He just nodded, but kept his smile.

"If/when Bell proves himself, I'll be able to make Bell as immortal as the girls. He'd have to consent though. And for Lili, Shizuka will probably be the one to do that. So don't worry about it Tiny, you're not losing any of us... Though... Huh... I've got another way to give em immortality too now that I think about it." That was it. I buried my face into his chest again, and just let it all out.

Maccillian and Shizuka were officially the best thing that could've ever happened to me.

And even if it was going to be embarrassing, I let Maccillian keep me wrapped up in his arms. He was warm, made me feel safe, and now I really knew.

I was NEVER going to be alone EVER again.

And the sober part of my mind came up with a thought that I knew was the truth. (Dammit... I fell for him.) I knew it, and felt my cheeks just BURN. (... That's not a bad thing though... Not at all.)

[Omake - How to tame your Hellhound. Rika's POV during the night.]

Me and Loki were chilling in her room, just fucking around as was our new usual, when I heard Black, my Hellhound, bark. "Da fuq?" Loki looked at him, since he DID just randomly go over to the window, and bark.

Now, I was curious, and went with her, and saw why. Silver's aura wolves were running over with... "Oh... Houndoom, Trix and Mari... Why the fuck are they coming?"

Loki looked at me after that. She was just as confused as I was. "Shouldn't YOU know that?" Point.

I just shrugged, and looked out at them. "I SHOULD. I just don't. But hey, who cares about that? More dogs for us." Loki snorted at that, and went back to her desk. I didn't question why she brought out some alcohol, I just accepted it.

"'Dogs.' Yeah right. Those fuqers are fire breathin man killers right there." She was right, but I just rolled my eyes. "You know I'm right Rimi." Loki's nickname for me were the first two letters of my first and last name. It was cool.

"You are. But didn't you go to sleep cuddling Black last night?" She took a shot at that.

"Yeah. For a fire breathin man killer, he's a nice pillow. Not better then ya, but still real good." Black barked at that, and Loki laughed. "See! He admits it too!"

I rolled my eyes at her again, and pointed out the window. "That was cause his playmates are about to jump in." That made Loki almost drop her glass, and the way she scrambled out of her chair was great.

She ran over to me, and just watched wide eyed as the hounds all got ready, and jumped towards us. "OH SHIT! RIMI!" Snorting at that, I just moved back and let the hounds jump into the room. I opened the window before they did, so they had an easy entrance. And the moment they landed, they bolted after Loki. "NOOO! RIMI STOP EM!" For some reason, they really loved her. I didn't know why, I just laughed at the sight of a goddess running away from a small pack of dogs.

"You'll be fineee!" Loki cursed at me, and I went over to grab her wine.

Taking a sip the moment I had it, I just grinned and took out my scroll. This would be some good blackmail for later.
